I need help as I locked myself out of the phone somehow!
I have xposed installed, and I have gravitybox and wanam installed (as well as sense toolbox)
i check the feature that does crt animation for screen off and also fade on screen on, however I think I have some conflicting settings I may not be aware of as when I try to turn on my screen I get both animations at once it seems. I can't access anything at all and if I swipe up from the bottom of the screen I get a vibration.
I have TWRP installed so I can probably disable one of the mods if I only knew in which directory it was and what it was called :crying:
Please help I don't want to re-install all my apps
And it would be nice to use my phone again lol

have you tried disabling xposed from recovery? Select ''install'' from recovery then choose Xposed-Disabler-Recovery.zip

Thanks for the info I didn't have the file but I should keep it handy.
I actually solved the problem I just restarted and was able to use the phone as long as the screen didn't shut off. So I just turned off the offending feature.

Have you flashed the engineering rom? You need to do that.
Oh ok....I didn't know you had to flash that for it to work thanx so much for the help...they should tell you that on the app

ROM Manager is for every device that can run clockworkmod recovery, not just the slide. The slide is the only one that can't get a recovery to stick as far as I am aware, so there's no reason for them to include a warning in an app used by tons of devices when only one of them has the issue.
True...didn't look at it that way

I have a stupid ROM Manager question... I remember trying to use a while back and hit a snag. When you open it, it first wants you to install Clockwork Recovery, and of course we cant make ours stick. When I tried this a while back, I remember it breaking my recovery and took some fiddling to fix it. Should I let it run this option, so I can then use it to manage my ROMs?

It now has a recovery for the slide and it works great. It is the only I use to get in recovery.
So to be clear, I can use the Install CWR option from ROM Manager? I cannot do anything else in ROM manager without it wanting to "install" it.
on mine it is the first option "Flash ClockworkMod Recovery", pop-up will show up and it only has the choice of "MyTouch Slide" after tapping that you are good-to-go for rebooting into recovery and flashing ROM's
Yeah I went ahead and did it. I get a lot of Superuser FCs still with it. I even hit the Fix Permissions, which says may fix FCs, and it FCs on me
that's odd I am running it on both of our phones without issue, didn't even have any issues running dumfuq's experimental dopio 960 oc kernel.
I see what happened. Cyans latest ROM comes with a different/newer SU app. When Rom Manager flashed recovery, it downgraded SU. I just grabbed the SU out of the latest CM6 ROM and pushed it to system in recovery and all is good. Running Fix Permissions now to see if it stops the FC I get on some uploader service upon each boot.
oh I forgot, unless you have already figured it out, the power button is NOT used for selecting in cwm anymore... volume still does "up" and "down", track-pad is now "select" and the back button works as "back page"
hopefully all is good.
So, Rom Manager can get you directly to Clockworkmod?
I just got a new Slide, rooted it, and immediately flashed the ENG build.
I then flashed MyFroYo6 with Rom Manager. No dice. What the hell am I doing wrong?
I'm new to Xposed but I've tried to read everything I can about it before posting.
I've Installed the Framework, hard reboot, installed Modules and hard reboot.
Yet Still nothing happens.
I've tried XPrivacy and GravityBox. XPrivacy Will tell me that the module isn't activated when it is. Gravity Box will tell me the frameworkit's self isn't installed.
I'm at a loss of what to do. Thanks to anyone in advance for any and all help.
When you install the frame work do a soft reboot instead of a regular reboot it will work then.

Install and activate in the recovery system write mode. Then it should stick

Thanks this worked. But now I have this strange Icon in the top right hand corner that looks like an SD card with a red circle with a line through it and it over lapse my Wifi icon in the notification bar.
Also do you know how to reorder things in quicksettings with gravitybox?

If you installed the MotoXposed app and activated it, it defaults to having the gap between the WiFi icon and the Provider network icons, but unfortunately, it doesn't fix the gap, but instead overlaps them. The icon that looks like an sd card with a red circle is your sim card saying it isn't working. The phone seems to boot faster than the sim card can initialize and shows the sim not working for a moment, then finds the signal.
Xposed isn't Holding After Reboot
I know I was told earlier that I should be doing a soft boot but does that mean that I will have to reinstall Xposed every time I do a reboot?
Also it seem since I have installed Xposed that I've had a few apps consistently go non responsive at same point in using them. Example: I have the premium app for these forums but when ever I try to view any particular thread the app will go non responsive and need to restart.

The soft reboot was mentioned as it allows you to stay booted with the root privileges, Once you have everything set the way you would like it, then just do a normal reboot. If for some reason you want to make a change or try a new module you will have to reboot to recovery to use root. I have not had any apps have issues with being non responsive. You can try uninstall/reinstall of the app, clearing it's data/cache, or going and seeing what is all running at the time on your phone, then disable or uninstall programs you don't want running all the time.
When you say rebooting to recovery odd that an option in the Xposed framework installer or am I doing this during the boot process?

You would just turn off the phone, then hold Power+Vol down then press Vol down to get to recovery, then press Vol up to select it. This will boot your phone with root.

I know this seems obvious but I wasn't quite getting how the X works. Thanks for the comment. Makes sense now
So I have it working while in recovery but if I reboot, everything goes away. From reading, this should not be the case. Am I reading the comments incorrectly?

When setup xposed, any time I make a change, I reboot with write protection off and make sure everything is still working, then boot normally. Never had any issues when doing it that way.

[Q] >> I've Installed Xposed & Installed Modules, and Now I'm STUCK! Please Help? <<
Hello, I have a Galaxy S5 G900T and I installed Xposed and it was interesting as I thought it was a "Cydia" equivalent to the Android. And I installed modules that could help "tweak" my S5, and after I have finished installing them and I rebooted, now I CAN'T SEE OR ACCESS MY LOCKSCREEN PASSWORD! The one that is the Pattern Lock where you can do a square or Z pattern.. but it just disappeared and it's not even showing up, even if I tapped a lot. You can see my picture attachment below which even the Emergency Button and even the Camera in the corner was gone in the lockscreen
Although I can still receive Calls, Messages and even Alarm Notifications, my real suspicion is that I've installed an Xposed Module, that Disabled my entire lockscreen or something that I haven't fully checked out yet, that caused this without me knowing it
Now I know I have options to do Factory Reset and etc.. however, I know there is still a way I can AT LEAST access my Home Screen or Have a Lockscreen reset itself to show up so I can figure out which of the apps or modules that made my lockscreen disappeared
Does anyone know a way in which we can reset the Lockscreen for it to show up? Or a way to be able to access the Home Screen? Or be able to uninstall Xposed and its modules remotely?
Boot into custom recovery, mount data partition and delete /data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/conf/modules.list

OR he could just flash this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60468815&postcount=18
A few fix tips
A few things you could try.
1) Flash the xposed framework disabler zip file via your recovery. Find out how to do that here
2) Use ADB to disable the pattern. Find out how to do so here
3) As a last resort, completely factory reset your phone. A google search will point you in the right direction.
Hope this helps, don't forget to thank if it does.
@C3C076 @Agent-Droid @Kris the wizz 15 Thank you for your replies! I tried doing flash a lot of times and even put the Zip files in my SD card and even tried out the methods in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2620456 but now the next problem is I keep getting this error "E: footer signature is wrong, E: signature verification failed", and even if it says "Applying Update Complete'' it just reboots it and does nothing
How can we go through that?
EDIT: I haven't did the ADB procedure as I'm still trying to understand all of this, I would really appreciate any help given
You have to use custom recovery since only they can be set to ignore signature verification of zip files to be flashed. If it is a custom recovery, check its options.
Finally it's fixed now! IT WAS A MIRACLE! I suddenly remembered and I actually used AndroidLost in my computer and it helped "unlocked" the screen, but the funny thing was it didnt fully unlock the screen but it just opened Google Speech, and by that time, MultiWindow was opened so I was scared to death and just backed up everything, removed the lockscreen, and uninstalled Xposed and the modules that messed up.. I was scared as hell but now its working lol
But what I found out about my recovery is that, It's pretty much "broken" seeing that even USB debugging wont work in my computer, Kies and Odin can't read my phone being plugged in, and My Recovery can't even Flash zip files anymore therefore kinda rendering it useless not unless, I fully factory reset my phone
Now for people who don't wanna go through this experience, I fully recommend you download "AndroidLost" or any of those apps that help you unlock your phone when your phone is lost.. and to also read http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2620456 so you can be prepared and have a better Recovery so you don't have to go through this
Take note of that
Just to clarify

Well, the xposed disabler zip counts on you having a custom recovery installed. You (correct me if I'm wrong) seem to be running stock samsung recovery, which won't flash the zip properly due to certain signatures that the recovery needs.
Since you've already rooted, any warranty you may have had is probably null and void anyway, so you may as well go the whole nine yards and install a custom recovery. You can find out how to do so here or here
Not only will this enable you to flash the xposed disabler zip file, it will also open you up to a world of custom Roms.
The ADB procedure basically uses root access to reset the pattern in your phone so as to enable you to use any pattern you please. That should help you access the xposed app to disable all the modules, and re-enable them as needed.
None the less, here's a few informative links:
1) What is ADB?
2) What's fastboot?
3) Easily intall ADB and Fastboot
4) What is a custom recovery?
5) What is a custom ROM?
Read through these, and then we can make a comprehensive decision.
Sorry for assuming you don't already know this stuff.
As the title says, I installed Gravity Box now my phone basically will not start past the bootup. The screen not only flickers when I try to unlock it, but the wallpaper completely changed on it's own. That is when I see it for all of half a second. The only way I know how to fix this is to run the Uninstall Xposed zip in recovery. Is there another way to do this? I see starting in safemode only works when you are already up and running.

Looks like you installed GB on an unsupported ROM which results in SystemUI crashing constantly.
One of the ways is to boot into recovery and delete file: /data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/conf/modules.list
which will basically disable all modules that are enabled.

Clean up the language.
- no TWRP (custom recoveries) on this device
- to exit from fastboot untether and long press power until it turns off
- start with the forum index and read what you can/can't do with this device and how to accomplish it

also i have looked around and i found this .apk

and i searched and searched but i have not found any reports of it ever being tried on the 2015 5th gen fire 7
i can only seem to get to the thread in google cache ,and there are only reports of it being tried on the HD fire 7 and all posts end around 2014 so i am not sure if it will work, but what is the worst thing that could happen if i try this? with no backup and TWRP installed? could i still revert everything back?
have you ever heard of anyone trying this specific .apk on this device before?
