I recently encrypted my Moto X and now TWRP doesn't recognize /data so I can't make backups or install zip files. I know TWRP supports this on other phones, is there a recovery that supports this on the Moto X?

I unlocked my moto g2 (2014) XT1068 (marshmello) bootloader and also flashed the TWRP recovery and superSU. But the root checker ssays its still not rooted. I tried flashing the latest SuperSU again. But now the phone doesn't boost. It can go to bootloader and TWRP recovery but still not booting. The adb sideload is also not working properly. Any help in fixing it?
You have to flash another kernel since marshmallow, there are enough topics for your problem

Can i flash direct android 7.0 zip files in unlocked bootlaoder using sunshine.Does this cause some problems directly?
Unless I am misunderstanding the question, you unlock your bootloader with Sunshine. You flash zipped files with TWRP recovery.
TWRP is free, very useful custom recovery. You can make backups, flash zipped files, etc. With an unlocked bootloader, there's no reason to keep stock recovery. We have official TWRP recovery for Quark from @bhb27.

Hey guy!
after updating (dirty flash) from Evolution X version 2/14 to 2/19 all my data on sdcard-folder is encrypted and i cant write any data to it.
the whole procedure was to first uninstall magisk, dirty flash new Evolution X version, flash magisk again.
Since then I can only boot into recovery (twrp)
Does anyone has an idea how to get my data back and not full wipe my phone?
Backup data in twrp is not possible since it cant create a folder ;(
Thanks a lot!

AFAIK your only option now is to format data in TWRP.
I assume the phone was encrypted before and TWRP would normally ask for the PIN, but now fails to recognise that the phone is encrypted. I don't know why TWRP doesn't ask for the PIN in these situations.
I have previously considered asking mauronifrio if it's possible to have a force decrypt option, which allows the user to enter the PIN if TWRP doesn't automatically ask for it. I just never got round to it.
I got this weird non-Tmobile XT1965-T phone that was discussed elsewhere (XT1965-T non-Tmobile). I only rooted boot.img, kept stock recovery & /data encryption, as in this link. But then I flashed a program into /system (my bad!) by accident. So now I cannot revert back to stock boot.img, and apply the new OTA because the checksum is messed up for /system.
My current version is QPWS30.61-21-18-7-3. I tried to do A/B switch, and boot the prior version of the system (which should be full stock - QPW30.61-21-18-7), but no go. Does anybody know why the prior version in the other set (A/B) would not boot? Would it boot if I fully wiped /data?
I thought I could boot QPW30.61-21-18-7 from the older partition, and let it update a couple of times, then root again. But seems that is not possible? What is blocking the boot?
P.S.
It seems like I could get the same stock ROM here which currently sits in my unbootable other A/B partition (LAKE_QPW30.61-21-18-7_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip):
