Is there a twrp that supports encrypted filesystem's?
I have the latest twrp from the website and it doesn't.
Of there isn't one for ghost, is there another recovery that for work with encrypted fs on ghost?

I recently encrypted my Moto X and now TWRP doesn't recognize /data so I can't make backups or install zip files. I know TWRP supports this on other phones, is there a recovery that supports this on the Moto X?
Hello
Yesterday I unlock the bootloader to flash Xiaomi.eu Rom on a Chinese MI8 and I noticed that is not encrypted.
When I try to encrypt it, I get a brick. Seems that twrp-3.2.3.0.-dipper not support encryption partitions and I not able to see the sdcard partition and I had to flash in fastboot to revive the phone.
The second test was flashing the official chinese ROM since it’s encrypted from beginning with twrp-3.2.3.0 and recovery-TWRP-3.2.2-0711-XIAOMI8-CN-wzsx150. With the last, the phone hangs on boot, and with twrp-3.2.3.0 boots but the filesystem seems encrypted from TWRP.
I come from MI5s Plus and it ask me the encrypted password when it try to mount the filesystem.
anyone succeed the encryption?
Seaching for a solution as well. I had similar experience like you with global beta and global stable, bl unlocked, twrp.
I need magisk as well, so only solution for now is to run unencrypted, if I activate encryption I cannot boot anymore.
@grootooter , I can confirm you that the recovery TWRP 3.2.3-0918-XIAOMI8-CN can read the encrypted filesystem in the chinese rom.
It not boot only with "fastboot boot recovery.img", you need flashing it.
I don't know if you can use magisk with encryption because dm-verity.
That's the reason because I stay in the chinese ROM, that has native root.
Someone would have to try this TWRP with Xiaomi.EU, then encrypt the filesystem and post the results.
Hello, I have a weird issue with my note 10 pro where after I install any rom it just refuses to mount any storage, and the phone's internal storage stops showing up on my pc when I'm in any recovery mode. I've tried TWRP and OrangeFox, tried Pixel Experience Plus and now Octavi OS. I've also tried flashing this forced encryption disabler (link https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...disk-quota-disabler-11-2-2020.3817389/page-65), at first it kept failing telling me it failed to mount, however after I rebooted the recovery it actually flashed. Despite that my phone is still encrypted.
Luckily I managed to flash magisk before booting into the custom rom for the first time so it actually flashed, but I can't flash anything else.
Has anyone else experienced this bug? I just want to be able to flash stuff.
note: I've tried with and without a password or a pin, and tried both TWRP and OrangeFox. They just never ask for any authentication.
is your phone storage showing 0 in recovery?
The available version of OrangeFox does NOT support data partition decryption, because of that nobody uses it on our phone ...
What is the version of the TWRP you use?

Hello, i currently have twrp 3.6.0 but in recovery mode it seems android12 fs isnt compatible and it just seems that there isnt any Android 12 compatible recovery but im still trying to find it.
Hi! I am entirely not sure what I am talking about, but yeah the pixel experience recovery supports Android 12, because the ROM I installed with the recovery runs the same. I am also not certain that it would let you install other ROMs or not.
The issue with this recovery is that you cant install any zips etc so its just like a default recovery where you Can just format userdata etc.
TWRP or ofox are only usable if you decrypted by flashed ROM or if you flash DFE.
I'm on orange fox with decrypted by DFE and cherishos and all working fine. To get a bit more security you can password protect orangefox
So, I'm planning to get back to Evolution X, but I noticed that I need a recovery that supports F2FS and EROFS, so is there any way to flash them?

Only certain recoveries can flash erofs and f2fs compression supported ROMs. To flash these recoveries is the same, either flash the img or zip file in existing recovery (select recovery partition if asked) or flash the recovery through fastboot. After that flash your ROM like you would. Currently only PixelOS Recovery, Unofficial A12.1 OrangeFox by Aryan, and TWRP by both Aryan and Nebrassy support it. Check RN10Pro group for those recoveries.

Okay, but how can I also enable both F2FS and EROFS? I have the unofficial Android 12.1 builds of TWRP and OFOX

Format data as regular, fstab will be updated with compression flag. RN 10 Pro by default uses f2fs, miui and custom, but f2fs compression is new stuff here. Erofs will be taken care of by your recovery upon flashing. That's why you will need those unofficial ofox or twrp build, and of course, rom build with erofs.
