[Q] HTC One stuck in boot loop ! - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am at the last drop of my pacience with this so guys.. i came here. Please Help !
I have a htc one that I have unloked, rooted, s-off and instal Google play edition on it..
Now.. after a wile i wanted to go back to stock Sense.. so i proceed to revert the proces, locking my phone.. removing tempered warning and all that work.. and i made a mistake..
And by mistake I s-on my device then locked it.
Now my device is stuck in a boot loop. It gets to the boot screen of a clean instal of google edition then restart..
My device is now unlocked, S-ON, Tempered. Clockworkmod that i can boot in to..
And cant S-OFF.. i used rumrunner the first time..
How can i get out of the boot loop.. I meen i know that the boot loop is caused by the phone beeing S-ON.. But.. how can i fix that ?
Sorry for the bad english !!

Yes, i can boot in bootloader mode.

Then just flash , as suggested, TWRP recovery
fastboot erase cache
fastboot flash recovery name-of-your-recovery.img
fastboot erase cache
After that sideload a Kitkat Sense ROM

Neither one will boot? When entering it just sits at "Entering Recovery"

I had that problem too, because i forgot to erase the cache. After you flash the recovery, go to the "Commands" section of the All-In-One Toolkit if that's what you're using, and choose "Erase Cache". After this booting into recovery should work.
Hope that helps

I know you tried flashing the recovery already, but I suggest you do it again, and first download it again; could be your download was corrupt.

Try flashing a new boot.img. Someone else was having a similar issue and it helped them.
Flash this universal recovery and enjoy http://android.cmphys.com/download/1250/?version=2-8-6-5

I wouldn't listen to this guy, let alone flash a file he provided. The website he linked to even asks to not do just that.
Here is the link to the official TWRP page:
https://twrp.me/Devices/
You should be able to find every version for the m7 here.

I understand your concern but FYI these recoveries linked by the other guy are safe. Unofficial TWRP by MDmower are well known and sometime more reliable than the official twrp versions (depending which version) .

I changed my screen, volume board, charge port and battery so i will try this.
Had the same problem after screen replacement... Stuck in bootloop and it wouldn't boot to recovery. What i did, i was going to try universal TWRP but had to unlock bootloader. so after i pushed unlock_code.bin via fastboot and phone asked if i want to unlock bootloader, i said yes, phone rebooted to recovery mode with bunch of errors. just did factory reset and wiped data/cache in recovery, did reboot in recovery and after phone started to boot up normally. give it a go.

As a last resort you can try flashing a stock rom via fastboot. Only if you don't mind losing all your data but atleast you will have a working phone again. Just a heads up make sure to backup all the contents of your phone to the cloud or a computer in case something like this happens again.

[CLOSED]HTC One not entering recovery

Recently I tried to root my One. I unlocked bootloader using HTCDev.com and flashed TWRP using my PC. When I try to enter recovery from fastboot it just enters a bootloop and doesn't enter recovery. I tried flashing CWM and tried all versions from 2.5.0.0 to 2.8.0.2 of TWRP. Also I cannot root due to no recovery. Pls help. Any help will be appreciated.
*bump*
Did u use fastboot to clear cache? Might Google a bit on the command I forget, fastboot erase cache.. maybe format cache. If you did not clear cache you can get a boot loop for sure.
Still not able to enter recovery.
I am assuming when you flash recovery your getting a confirmation that it goes smoothly? Also, just a thought, hboot 2.49.0000 is Sprint HTC one max.? Did u get the recovery from that thread?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2559891 says for that device you need s-off and its flashed in hboot.. which opens a while other can of worms. Not sure of a work around at this point....

Thank you very much. Didn't find that anywhere.
Can you still boot regularly? If so follow the steps there to achieve s-off and you'll be golden. Also mentioned its compatibility with other roms. Unless your just going for stock root. Good luck!
Yes, I can boot normally. And thanx once again.

[Q] reboot loop

Hi guys,
Flashed my phone with a custom rom now it just keeps rebooting. I have a ***LOCKED*** flag with S-Off can someone explain what do to next ? I can boot into Twrp recovery though.
