[KERNEL] CM Specific Basic Kernel - BroadcomCM[TASSVE][v4.0 - 07/3/2014] - Samsung Galaxy Mini

CyanogenMod 7.2 Specific BASIC Kernel - Tassve
We are planning to release a kernel that con work on both devices, a BCM21553-common kernel, but that is hard work, as we must compare all the files from kernel, and test everychange.
FEATURES:
Due to the kernel is pretty advanced, we are not talking of a TO-DO list, we are talking about a FEATURES list, so the FEATURES are:
Kernel just compatible with CM7
Specific Basic - Samsung official not-modded sources
EXT4 support
CWM Inclluded on kernel with EXT4 support too
Images of CWM patched to show good colors
Bluetooth and Wifi configs added to work with CM7
Common ramdisk used based on kissingmylove and PsychoGame
Ramdisk optimized for CM7 and EXT4
Compressed through LZMA
IMEI working on CM7
Offline charging working on EXT4 CM7
Added our new temp. CWM as default
SOURCES:
KERNEL SOURCE (GPL) is the official samsung kernel, as it is a specific BASIC kernel:
Sources of kernel: http://opensource.samsung.com/
I needed to modify the configs to get a BT, Wifi, and EXT4 working, this is not included on Samsung stock kernel, so I leave here the config source:
Source of defconfigs: https://github.com/broadcomCM/android_kernel_bcm21553-common_configs
Ramdisk has been also modd to create a bcm21553-common ramdisk that all users could use. SOurces to ramdisk can be found extracting from my kernel (LZMA) or also on github.
Sources of Ramdisk: https://github.com/broadcomCM/android_device_samsung_bcm21553-common_ramdisk
If other kernel developers want to contribute on this, shot me a PM, and I'll talk with you.
Thanks, Biel.

I am not a kernel expert, so I just wanted to made the basic (stock kernel) compatible with ext4, lzma, and CM/AOSp roms. There are kernels better? Yes, but not with this compatibility
EDIT: wiping data working on my kernel amd CM7 (on ace-i, verified)

Internal SD isn't mounted at all.
I lost my internal Sd...

Yes always
found a solution, its ramdisk, it is setting up PHONE_STORAGE as emmc on init, but in my kernel it should be SECONDARY_STORAGE as emmc.
^Will you integrate your kernel with your rom and also put PDroid in it?
Sorry for having so many request.
Flashed the kernel, no problems encountered so far. Good job and I like the fact that there are just 2 files that get flashed. The boot.img and wireless.ko, easy to revert without leaving back files. please keep it simple and clean. Create extra zip for all tweaks if you want them instead of bundling in kernel. Thank you.
after an hour of testing in have to say it works well, ill try a full day with it

is it connecting to hidden wlan networks?
had problems with other 3.x kernels.
edit: it works!

[SCRIPT][KERNEL PATCHER] PSN MEMORY-MOD-v2 + Swapall-v3.0

PSN>> MEMORY-MOD-v2 SwapAll-v3.0 KERNEL MODDER
USE THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK
INFO:
MEMORY-MOD
SD-EXT partition (/dev/block/mmcblk0p2) on phone's memory card is mounted as /data instead of original internal data partition(stl13)
SWAPALL v3.0
Original Internal Storage (/dev/stl13 on stock GB & /dev/block/stl13 on AOSP) is formatted to be used as swap partition entirely so as to fully take advantage of fast internal data partition and relieving read/write load on memory card.
The third swap partition on memory card created using CWM or MiniTool or Gparted (/dev/block/mmcblk0p3) IF FOUND is used as swap space, with lower priority . So it will be used for swapping only when above mentioned swap partiton on internal data storage is full.
Swappiness set at 30.
Q.) WHATS NEW WITH MEMORY-MOD v2 IN THIS "KERNEL PATCHER" ???
A.) It simply patches an existing flashed kernel on phone
It extracts an existing flashed kernel from the phone
Then it extracts ramdisk from the kernel
Then it patches the required files on ramdisk
Then it builds back ramdisk and compiles back boot.img
Then it flashes the modded boot.img on phone to the phone
REFERENCE Threads: (my ACE threads)

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2184189 SIMILAR KERNEL PATCHER for ACE
PREREQUISITES:
1: Custom kernel to be flashed before installing this script (STOCK based/AOSP/AOKP with ext4 support and init.d support but not Mem-Modded)
2: SD-EXT partition on sdcard formatted to ext4 (u can use this tool PSN_EXT4_Recovery_based_SD-EXT_ONLY_Format_Tool-signed.zip)
3: SWAP support implemented in kernel
4: Atleast 2.1 MB of free space available in /system
5: An SDCARD of CLASS 6 or more (class 4 users please dont report of phone crawling slow!)
NOTE:
1: for fresh install only; user data on original /data will not be moved on /sd-ext; after flashing this script you will have to setup ur phone again.
1: after flashing this you wont be able to directly do a nandroid backup in cwm; so wipe(format) "/data" in recovery before attempting nandroid backup.
2: do not use any int.d script to expand memory using /sd-ext like S2E or a2sd or cronmod or a2sdx etc with this mod else your phone will not boot
3: your phone will boot always as first boot with this script if no memory-card inserted or memory-card inserted without a sd-ext partition
4: Memory-Mod v2 will delete the init.d scrips of adrenaline engine which when unmodified is not compatible with Memory-Mods
5: if your rom has Adrenaline Engine 4.3 or 4.4 which has not been modified by for compatibility with Memory-Mod then you can reflash a compatible Adrenaline Engine 4.4 by flashing this(STOCK version / CM version) AFTER flashing the MEMORY-MOD script.
6: to reflash newer fixed versions of this mod you have to reflash ur non-patched kernel or rom and then flash this kernel patcher in recovery.
Some info:
PSN_STOCK-GB_MEM-MOD-v2_SWAPALLv3.0 : coming soon (provide me with stock-based custom kernel link or boot.img)
PSN_CM7.2-GB-official_MEM-MOD-v2_SWAPALLv3.0 : will work on kernels on official cm7.2 roms
PSN_CM10.1-JB_MEM-MOD-v2_SWAPALLv3.0 : will work on unofficial cm10.1 kernels in roms like Rohans CM10.1 builds
ICS users can try JB version... its almost same .. should work... report if it doesnt work for u
UNINSTALL METHOD: (to get back to old-school 150MB internal data)
1: flash your original non-modded kernel or custom rom
2: flash PSN_factory_reset_EXT4_Recovery_based_Format_Tool-signed.zip
3: you need to setup your phone all over again for old-school 150MB internal data.
CHANGELOGS

Yes well I'll push changes to kernel asap as I make
Other idea:
Okey guys I got it after lot of searching and thinking + confirmed by psyke83 (developer from Galaxy 5) the reason why not booting is the kernel. ANd it's weird because Hell-lock kernel was fine till now
http://pastebin.com/zYFQf8Z0
Error could seem a ROM error, but init.rc script must to be modifyied to locate dalvik. Probaly dalvik and cahce in EXT4. So we need the port from the other kernel to work new CM7. That will be long without the device, really long...
Thanks, Biel

New - ramdisk, it contains: phone startup script (file system, settings for work Wi-Fi, BT, Camera on CM 7), recovery..
v1.0:
I wanted fix BT on Cyanus 1.9 replacement of ramdisk, but problem in zImage (kissingmylove done something wrong in source, I tried today compile zImage from kissingmylove source, but I got an error when compiling, something connected with modules..).
In general has turned Cyanus 1.9 for CM 7 RC4 by Biel and based on their and with new CWM.
v2.0
Just GearKernel v0.4 for CM 7 RC4 by Biel and based on their and with new CWM (File system - ext4).
Incidentally kernel became stable and disappeared a couple of bugs..
In theory (!) v1.0 - economical (battery) and not work BT. v2.0 - uneconomical, but all works..
I himself can compile zImage, but I do not know how to add frequency, governar and etc..
I advise you to esteem in Google about Ramdisk and zImage (In Broadcom devices recovery(cwm) is located in Ramdisk..).
Hi all! Next month, I'll buy a new phone(may Sony Xperia SP, as at Biel) ), so keep updated:
Mini Kernel v1.0 updated to Mini Kernel v1.1, changelog:
1. Fix bug with "visual" mount /system in CWM(like CM Specific Basic Kernel or angpysha_kernel)
2. Added dualboot support
Mini Kernel v2.0 updated to Mini Kernel v2.1, but no work, deleted(
I compiled kernel from GT-S5570I_GB_Opensource.zip - no need for latter stock! Also in Mini Kernel v3.0 I use Ramdisk modified by me:
1. Fix bug with "visual" mount /system in CWM(like CM Specific Basic Kernel or angpysha_kernel)
2. Added dualboot support
Mini Kernel v3.0 - Best stock kernel for CM without bugs, better than CM Specific Basic Kernel!
S5570IXXKL2 - old Russia stock
Waiting for it

[KERNELS][KLTEXX] UKP - CM13/AOSP M Unofficial Kernels

UKP - Unofficial Kernel Patches
NOTE: All of the kernels on this thread are unofficially supported, therefore, the original developers do not give support for these releases.
Why are the unofficial builds created?
Most of the custom roms have different bootclasspaths or other differences in their roms, therefore, the custom kernels do not boot, or are extremely unstable.
Kernels Information
Boeffla E - These are the experimental boeffla kernel builds.
Boeffla S - These are the stable/stock boeffla kernel builds.
Fusion - This is the Fusion Kernel
Stock - These are the stock kernels, in case of emergency (for restoring)
NOTE: Fusion Kernel is not longer maintained, but it is the most feature-rich and stable kernel in my opinion (based on my usage and experience). The only bug that it has is the camera looking weird/having colour issues. In order to fix the camera bug you have to enable/disable the HDR in the camera app (this will fix the problem until the app is reopened).
Supported Roms:
Broken Rom
Mokee Rom
ResurrectionRemix
Slim Rom
VRToxin Rom
Supported Devices:
klte
kltedv
klteusc
kltespr
kltevzw

Increased Default IO Read/Write for SD
Included Build Prop Tweaks for Smoothness/Performance/Internet-Speed/Battery
Updated adbd sbin of 28/05
Updated healthd sbin of 28/05
Replaced Rom-Specific Kernel changes
Boeffla S:
Compatibilty with multiple variants of the S5
Compatibilty with multiple roms (that are not officially working on)
Added Boeffla Control App
Patched Ramdisk with the Rom-specific changes
Enabled Fandrom
Enabled Full BusyBox Kernel-Support
Some other changes Rom-Specific changes
Fusion:
Compatibilty with multiple variants of the S5
Compatibilty with multiple roms (that are not officially working on)

I'm still doing tests but all the roms/devices mentioned in the first post should be supported.
I'm now patching the last kernels.
Thank you for your work...
Will wait for all roms ready to start testing... [emoji6]

Please note that i haven't tested all the kernels...
/EDIT: Most of the Experimental and Fusion Kernels do not work...
@komarov27 would you have plans to make your own kernel someday as in my honest opinion I would love to see a mix of fusion and boeffla, fusion for the higher OC of CPU & GPU also fusion has faux sound capability where boeffla doesn't also I noticed kernel auditor shows weird CPU scaling of set Mhz/GHz like if you set 300mhz as min it doesn't stick it scales up and down.
These are just a few things I have noticed also I find Fusion to have faster charging.

I can confirm that boeffla27-experimental does not boot in kltespr. Flashes fine, once you reboot the phone hangs in the Samsung boot screen, then reboots into recovery.

I've been thinking of compiling a custom kernel that has the features of both boeffla and fusion but i just don't have the time to download the sources, compile, test, regularly upload and update....
