[Q] develop app above API 14 (ICS 4.0) - Galaxy Ace S5830 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys, I have a question here. I need to develop an android app on my Ace using API 10 which is Android 4.0, but we know that there's no official 4.0. So my question is, can I use some custom ROM where they say that their custom rom is 4.0, 4.1, etc like the one based on cyanogenmod? or maclaw's AOSP (ICS and JB), can I build an app with API level 10 or more using that rom?

Yes, u can. And android 4.0 api is 14 not 10. Api 10 id gingerbread.

development is going on the cyanogenmod for our device if it gets ported successfully there will be great chances for future upgrades too like cm for android 5.0 etc. so wait for the same :fingers-crossed: ....beyond that there is no straightforward work going on porting the stock android 4.2
Sources for the novathor are unavailable. So no.

android-support-v4.jar

I have a question about android-support-v4.jar Is if the source application of 10.1 cm will add this library to the app will work on Android 2.3

For what ? This isn't a important thing. It won't work on Android 2.3.x, it's clearly written in the filename : android-support-v4.jar, v4 means Android Version 4.x

Miui v5 Ok jb 4.2.2

Hi guys. I have a question about miui. I really like miui v5 but the miui ROMs available for our devices is based on android 4.1.2. Can miui v5 be build over android 4.2.2? The reason why I ask this question is because I need ad-hoc support on my device and android 4.1 doesn't support ad-hoc networks.

There is a MIUI 4.2.2 for Google Nexus Devices , maybe someone will port it.
The MIUI V5 based on 4.1.2 you can find are from official MIUI Porting Team.

[Q] Simple question: which rom for daily use for my new GT-8910N

Hi all, i'm searching for a stable ROM for my new GT-8910N, possibly with NFC support.
I've read about Maclaw's ROM, but i don't know what to choose, i need your help.
I'm coming from Nexus HD2 by tytung CM 10.2, and now the stock ROM 4.1.2 is a back step.
I want to upgrade to a stable ROM for a daily use, also for my wife's phone.
My phone details:
GT-8910N
ANDROID 4.1.2
BASE BAND I8910NXXALL6
KERNEL 3.0.31-742346
BUILD JZO54K.I8910NXXALL6
Thanks in advance from Italy.
Hi bud, look if you want a ROM receiving the NFC support you better stick to stock rom or a custom one based in stock 'cause Maclaw's roms don't support NFC feature yet, well, that being said I've been since the beginning only with AOSP based roms so I don't really know which customs roms are out there that support the NFC feature but I think Dmod, Benz and Virginity roms support it you can check them out in the Android Development section, greetings man.
