Okay you can manually flash 4.3 ftf and check whether this issue is rectified if not then it may be an hardware issue
If its sorted then manually flash 4.4.2 ftf after 4.3
use flash tool to flash firmware
Your speaker is OK
Don't panic
Check if there is anything inside the headset jack because the phone thinks that you have plugged in a headset and disables the speaker
So Check the Headset jack maybe for water damage or anything lodged in there
Good Luck!

Hey guys, did you try factory reset after update? Its known that after update from older version there can be some conflict and system could not work as it should.

Okay. What i would do if i had some problem is that i would factory reset again, than immediately after that flash B317 full zip update again to make sure the update delete all system files from old version and replace them with new ones. There is nothing more to suggest, me personally did it this way from begining because i was aware of some complications, and im pretty happy with it. Battery drain is much lower than Lollipop had, UI is lag free now even i think its not final version of marshmallow because there are still some noticeable bugs with email notifications, sometimes unstable etc.

updated from 20o to 20p sunday night using LG Bridge on a mac. Everything went fine. Answer a call and the person cant hear me at all unless i turn on the speaker or use bluetooth or headset. Google voice search no, voice recorder forget about it.
I have tried doing:
update error recovery in LG Bridge
LGUP kdz method
Flashed two different stock roms wiping this and that
Nothing seems to work, any ideas would be appreciated.
Is it possible to downgrade back to 20o?
Your issue sounds more lika a hardware problem to me, you can safely go back to h811-20o since 20o &20p are both anti-rollback version 3
flash as refurbish with lgup - 20o kdz is here if needed: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24572369242688205

No go still bad.
The phone has two mics. While using speaker phone, voice input switches to top mic that is used for noise suppression.
Good news: tmobile is swapping under warranty.
Bad news: wont get the phone for 3 weeks. Back order.

So when you flash stock no mic issues but when you use a custom rom you're having mic issues. If so I'd definitely catch some logs while the mic issue is happening and forward them to whoever the dev is who compiles whatever rom you are having the issue on. I had my receiver speaker stop working once on a Xiaomi mix2 and I installed the stock rom and formatted data with fastboot -w and my speaker worked again. I never did figure out exactly what caused it but installing stock OEM rom and formatting data fixed it for me. Someone commented that what may have happened in my situation and possibly in yours too is something caused these issues in the process of me flashing things to my device.. If while on stock the issue isn't present then I would think whatever it is could be figured out...
How exactly are you installing roms? With what recovery and version recovery? What is your exact detailed installation method? Just curious... Hope you get it solved and fixed.

Yes when I'm using MIUI everything works perfectly but on custom roms it's really bad. Currently I'm using cherish os latest version. And the mic is not the same as in MIUI. When installing a rom first I flash MIUI again reboot. Then booting into fastboot. Flash latest pixel experience recovery then format data and then the ROM. Can you explain me the exact steps for installing stock kernel on custom ROM

I can recommend lineage os 19.1
For me there're none big issues about mic.
I'm using it around 3 weeks and didn't recognized mic problems...
