Hello,
I'm using CyanogenMod 11.0 by MaclawStudio and ADW Launcher EX. ADW Launcher is converted to a system app. ADW is the default launcher and other launchers are freezed. All is working.
But If I'm installing a (daily) ROM update the phone doesn't boot. To prevent this I have to:
- convert ADW Launcher to user app
- install ROM update
- convert ADW Launcher to system app
Why does this happen?

Download it from the market. Then press the "Home" key. It will ask you what launcher you want to use. Make it default.

I actually thought the same regarding themed versions.
The problem, I assume, is that LP isn't also, and its a "lite" version with the option to upgrade - $

Like has been said, download from the market and install. Once you install, and tell your phone to use it, you can remove ADW with Titanium Backup if you want...But make sure you are USING LauncherPro first. Probably mess something up if you dont...Nandroid first to be safe. I like LauncherPro much better myself

If your clear default button is grayed out..go to the market and download Default Home and install it.Follow the directions and use it to allow you to switch to LP. No need to really un-install it until you know for sure you don't want to use it. I used it for a good while and then started using ADW for my default launcher. I really like how it works now and plan on using it mostly,but have the option to go back whenever I want..

i'm currently using GDX V25(stock kernel) and i'm just wondering how to make cm7 themes fully work where the icons on the dock are also included as well. is there a launcher that i need to use instead of the stock launcher that it's using?

Use theme chooser and after that reboot ur phone for changes. U can use any launcher.

If your a theme enthusiast please download themes only with MDPI support other than that you will have prob If you wan launcher with themes theres a lot a recommend launcher 360 or qq launcher
hey guyz
i flashed doc's rom today on my gti9000 and have apex launcher and xperia home in it by default and now i want apex launcher pro and i also got apk for it..
so when i tapped on install it asked me to overwirte and i tapped yes but the installation failed...
so how do i remove the apex launcher and get apex launcher pro.

how do I delete a launcher?
I want touchwiz as default but adw keeps coming up -.-
Delete the ADW launcher in /system/app OR set your preferred launcher as default after pressing home button. You could also freeze ADW launcher using Titanium Backup.

It has nothing to do with Chris's theme...just use this instructions:
Go to
Settings/applications/manage apps/system app/adw launcher/clear defaults
Now press home key and select the preffered launcher

Open nova launcher.
Go to settings.
Check for updates. When it shows the status"current version latest" just press menu button and select beta. Update it. It will download an apk file. Install it and you will have the grid option under drawer tab now...
