Look, if u have a warranty fr ur country, HTC will do it for free. If ur seller is willing to provide u with a proof of purchase, then u can get it replaced fr free. If he doesnt have a proof of purchase, they will charge u.

This link here is for a tilt on ebay. (sorry for the bad link before, should work now)http://cgi.ebay.com/UNLOCKED-TILT-8925-PDA-CELL-PHONE-HTC-WIFI-POCKETPC-GSM_W0QQitemZ140239057232QQihZ004QQcategoryZ3312QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem obviously used but the guy says it's in great condition though. Here's what I'm curious about. If you look about half way down the page he says that he can offer a two year warranty. Is that real? Is it trustworthy? I really need some advice here. Thanks. SPACE
Oh, and does anyone know if the brand new tilts come with a warranty in the box?
Ebay = warranty expires when the item was posted to you. remember it's a garage sale. Unless you like to take a chance, I'd avoid.

I dont see a link?
I think after u leave a positive feedback, he will forget about u immediately.
I bought my kaiser from ebay used - it had a few knocks on the housing so I just bought a replacement housing and keyboard and fitted it. Now my kaiser is as good as new!
I wouldn't bother with looking for warranty on ebay - I guess there is some risk but as long as you check out the seller reviews, things should go fine...
If you want to pay less, get one that's got a few scratches and is locked to a service provider - you can sort these things out yourself.
I've bought my last couple of phones on ebay and sold them there too.
If you are talking about the warrantee you pay for that is offered as a paypaa additional service, then it's fine. BUT, check their terms & conditions. Usually you can automatically check to see if an item is elligible. I have used it before, but I bought a brand new BlueRay, had a manufacturing defect, & was sent a check from Paypal.
ok, well I don't really trust their warranty and the pay pal thing I know nothing about. The used phones go for about 350 or so in general but I can get a new one in the box for 400. Do the new phones have a warranty of any kind in the box when you get them?
The warranty is provided through SquareTrade.com IF you decide to pay for said warranty.
Hey Guys,
Have an HD7 that had an accident and I sent it in for an estimate and the guy wants $213 + tax to replace the LCD. Anyone have any suggestions on where to go and an approximate price? I only paid $225 for it refurbed so $213 is not worth the effort. Even though its less than a month old, I suppose I could sell it as is since I've already replaced it with another one.
What do you think? Let me know.
Cheers.
why don't you call hts and ask for the price.
Buy one from someone on Craigslist.

Hey Ttblondey,
I never thought about calling HTC because the phone was bought as a refurb on ebay but I called this Saturday and guess what? The phone has the manufacturers warranty until February so all I have to do is send it in to them.
Thanks for pointing this out to me. Much appreciated.

No problem just helping out.
So i had an HTC One phone from T-Mobile stolen from me in my city's mall and when i called it on an AT&T store display iPhone some dude said he had it! I told him to meet me in front of the mall and he never did :/
anyways we got the phone number deactivated now because of it being off, and T-Mobile told me to go to Phoneclaim.com, so i did and filled out a form with Asurion, and all i need to do is enter the Credit card details but what i am wondering is if the phone i receive will be new or refurbished?'
Here is what it says on the Insurance Details
Device Details:
HTC
ONE
Standard
$175.00 ( Which was the original price when i payed for the upgrade to this phone)
I hope Standard doesn't mean refurbished
More than likely it will be a refurbished phone that is what happened to me with gs3 so I just took insurance off it it's good at times but when they give you a refurbished phone is kinda of a draw back

You will get a refurbished unit. If they are out of refurb you will wait a while, if its too long they may spring for a new one or provide you with a phone of equal value.
They are not required to give you a new phone. The phone you lost was used and thats pretty much what they replace it with.
Careful they send out junk sometimes

Hi guys! Couple of days ago I had a very bad day. Recently I received my order containing M8 (delivery from USA to Russia) and for less than 1 week I managed to damage this device. It just fell down out of my chest pocket when I stooped to feed a cat living in the factory shop where I work. It bumped against concrete with left top corner. It was not in case unfortunately cause the case is still in delivery. As result I have now cracked screen. But! As far as I understand only superficial layer is cracked - Gorilla Glas. The screen itself seems to be ok. The device is fully functioning. Hence it`s only visual shortcoming. Nevetherless it is very unpleasant. I inquired in the nearest oficial service center about the possibility to repair it, but they even don`t have spare parts, which are expected only in June. And the price for screen replacement will make about 10000 Rubles - it`s about 280 dollars - too much only for screen replacement for me. I haven`t found spare parts on ebay as well. Could you maybe help me some way...
Does anybody happen to know, if and where I can buy spare screen for M8 now? How do you think will it appear later on ebay?
Or is it possible to insert a screen with same dimensions but from another smartphone?
And the last one question, how do you think, would it be possible to separate by myself superficial gorilla glas layer from the main screen without damaging it?
Thanks a lot guys and have a nice day. And I hope my English is understandable for you.
I don't know how they enforce the HTC Advantage Program in Russia, but HTC offers a free screen replacement if it happens within the first 6 months. Have you checked on that?

I never heard about this Advantage programm to be honest. But in the official service center they indicated price about 280 dollars. I guess it means that the programm is not available in Russia. However I bought it in USA. Now I`m going to get in touch with the seller from ebay, where I bought it. Maybe he would help me...

HTC Advantage Program
As the seller is in the US he/she should be able to use the advantage program.
best of luck!

thanks! I asked in HTC USA online chat support and got the answer, that ebay is not an authorized HTC seller, so the phone is not covered by the Advantage Programm. Screen Replacement would cost for me about 220 dollars. Rather pricey...

Yes but the seller from Ebay must have bought from an authorised dealer - surely they can get it repaired for you for a small fee?

I know that is probably a stretch, but I would have to agree. If the seller is willing and able, you could probably ship to them. Have them get it fixed and then give them a fee for having the free replacement done for you. However, you would have to trust them enough to do this for you. Also, the cost of shipping back and forth and the fee of the seller would have to be less than the $220 or it may not be worth it. Good luck and sorry this happened.
I also need new speaker grills. Can't find any at the moment.

try to check on ebay. At least screen replacement is already available.
Send it to HTC repair center, it will be cheaper than you think. I had my screen including lcd assembly, back cover and speaker grills repaired for £103 or $170..
Have you tried sparesworldmobile.com, they are europe based and ship to russia for what i saw. I think they also have tech support if you ask then for the costs perhaps it fits your needs.

Hi folks,
I've had issue after issue with my HTC One Developer edition for the last six months which have been a pain in the butt and wasted a ton of my time... First the camera started to malfunction, so I had that repaired locally (with another defective camera), the local guy who finally repaired the camera messed up the screen which had to be replaced, then the top speaker blew... I was seriously considering throwing the damn thing under a freight truck and get another phone.
I decided to give it one last chance, and send it to HTC for repair. They estimated the repair between $90 and $200 as my warranty was void (I was upfront and told them the phone was rooted, s-off, opened for repairs, etc.).
Exactly 1 week after I mailed my device to the US repair centre (from Canada), A guy from FedEx handed me a package with this:
They were supposed to call me with a quote for the repairs. I had two weeks remaining under warranty and they repaired it free of charge!:good:
Sounds is so awesome with two speakers working! Love this thing!
Thanks HTC.
where do you live?
