I downloaded CWR's easy touch app for camera and after rebooting the screen no longer responds to any touch. I did a factory reset and flashed various stock versions with Odin with no luck. Sounds like the CWR touch app wrote some code to the screen firmware and disabled the screen's touch function.
IF ANYONE has any suggestions, it would be appreciated. The issue was that I didn't realize that it was an international version and Samsung doesn't warranty it.

On ultimate captivate rom with jk4 modem and gb's 11811 kernel. All of the sudden the phone froze. Did a 3 button hard reset to boot back up. Everything was fine except for a big problem. The auto rotation doesn't work anymore. Disabled/re enabled in settings. Rebooted. Help please!?

Sounds like a bad flash to me. If it were my device, I would flash stock, master clear, and install the ROM fresh and clean. If the problem recurs, I would re-download the ROM zip. And flash clean again as above.
I had to do all of that on my last flash due to a partially unhappy zip.
When you say that Auto-Rotation isn't working you talking about in any app/location? Or just the home screen?
On some of the Rom's the Home Screen doesn't rotate into landscape mode.
Just an FYI

It doesn't work in any app. Unchecking the box in settings and re checking it doesn't help either. Nothing workS. Maps, browser, youtube etc. It was working on this rom for a month and now it all of the sudden isn't. I'm going to flash to stock to see if its hardware related

Just a heads up: I had to flash over again due to a bad kernel flash. My home screen would not rotate. Through my own trial and error I found that when using Launcher Pro as my default launcher, my home screen rotates. I have been using Launcher Pro for so long I just assumed that it rotated with the stock launcher. This my be your case.
Do you use Screeble?
I've had the rotate problem on multiple roms. I have been using Screeble, and have become suspicious of it.
I am currently on Serindipity 3.5.2 ever since it cfame out. AT that time I stopped using Screeble. It has been good ever since.
I just installed Screeble. If it is Screeble causing my issues, I suspect it will return within a week.
The only way I've been able to fix it is with a fresh flash. That has fixed it every time.
I'll post back if I find it comes back. I'll watch here...interested if you use Screeble or not.

Well...tell you the truth...i have no clue what that is...so id have to say ....no...
Not sure what to tell you then.
I have already taken Screeble off my phone. It was acting up, and I didn't want to chance it making me need to reflash.
Of course, I'm not even sure that app is causing any problem with auto rotate.
If your continues to act up, it'll be interesting to see if it starts working after a fresh re-flash.
Sorry I don't have anything else to offer.
Screen capture using "swipe palm over screen" does not work for me. I am on stock 4.0.4 ICS.
Hi! Has it worked before and suddenly stopped working? If thats the case I don't know how to fix it. But I remember when I first got my Note I thought it wasn't working, but for me it did turn out that it was me not doing the swipe correctly and I had to practice some times before I got the hang of it lol. =)

I have the sam problem with my back and menu keys on my n900t... they work with my s pen but not with my fingers... i posted about it still no solution... do you know a solution maybe
In the settings menu under the device accessibility, do you have interaction control on or off?
Never had this issue however maybe provide additional details like custom rom? Rooted? I used to have a similar issue with I717 AT&T note 1 however after testing I concluded the rom was causing this issue

Mine stopped working last night. Menu key works fine. Both menu and back key work with S-Pen. Both work normally in recovery, so I presume it's not a hardware issue. I tried reflashing bootloader, ROM, factory reset. Nothing.
I'm wondering if a certain gesture turned it off (like a hard off)? My finger slid on the Back key maybe also Menu key, S Finder opened up for some reason, and it stopped working. Any hidden combination of gestures, touches, button presses that do this? Any help would be appreciated.
TIA

Has anyone found a solution for this? If I downgrade to 4.4 the back button works. If I upgrade to 5.0 the back button only works with the stylus. Thanks.
Would you press *#2663# and tell me what you show under TSP FW? see if the phones touch key FW version is same as Parts touch key FW, try to update all of them if its work great if not let me know so we can upgrade your keys. I just fixed mine with upgrading my keys.
When I click the power button to turn on the screen, only in the immediate moment following does the screen recognize my touch. Sometimes, this means I can unlock the device, pull open settings, or open an app (that has a lock-screen widget). Once there, I can do nothing, until the screen turns off (if plugged in, nothing). If I hold the first click (like going in circles on the lock-screen without letting go or unlocking), I can prolong the sensitivity for the duration of contact. All physical buttons are confirmed working. AT&T Torch working. Software is up-to-date and restored via ODIN to 4.3, then OTA to 4.4.2, so practically stock. It's the AT&T model.
Thoughts or comments?
(note, I plan to go to at&t or best buy (Samsung Rep) asap, but am not sure when I will be able to. I tried searching for something both in this forum and google for similar issues, so I apologize if this is a repeat thread- I really tried to avoid it, if so).

Thanks for the link, After having a live chat where the at&t support agent was unable to fix the problem, she informed me I was still under warranty and sent out for a replacement device.

Hey guys
Is anyone else experiencing a camera glitch since using to Oreo?
On a number of occasions now when I've went to take a photo the screen goes black for a few seconds and the phone had to be unlocked again.
I've actually just had the phone reboot a few minutes ago doing the same thing.
Anyone else had this issue?
I'm running a BRI N950F/DS on the latest O2U firmware.
No one?
It mainly happens for me after using double press of the power button to open the camera then switching to 2x zoom. Screen goes black and phone locks.
Does this about 3 times then either works or the phone reboots.
Running the initial O2UK Oreo release on a BRI N950F/DS
If you didn't already, factory reset. A good practice after a major software update !
