[Q] Question about function in ROM - Galaxy Tab Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Helo,
I haven't posted much, so I'm not permitted to ask in rom topic.
My question is:
I would like to use this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2535646
Does anyone know if it has user acoounts enabled? So I could use it with my family members.
Thank You in advance for replies.

On Terenceng build, settings > device > users. You can have more than one user and specify between user- have own seperate apps and content and restricted profile-- restrict access to apps and content.
Hope rhis helps.

Thank You very much for answer.

This rom does not have 3g / data service, gps, video recording, and hdmi / tv outright now. You can fix the video by downloading any app from google play.
Just a heads up.

[Q] Youtube HD app

Does anyone has a youtube apk that switches to HD mode? sorry if this has been anwered somewhere, but bored of searching google for another half an hour.
Thanks a lot
edit0: I can't see this thread in the forum, i guess no one else does either. If found by a mod, please delete, i posted it in the QA section again (it belongs there anyway)
thanks!
edit1: and now it's there... what's going on..
I am unaware of any hacks to the youtube app to enable HD for the galaxy s but I would most certainly love to have one.
Was reading over in the SGS2 forum that you have to change the dpi to enable it. It appears as though it is only for high resolution devices. The thread was in their general forum.

AW: Has Anyone figured out how to use camera remote
You need Android 4.1.2 on GCam and Remote Viewfinder for GC out of the Play Store
Within your camera menu under share you have to enable remote viewfinder and then connect your android device to the cam via wlan and start the remote viewfinder.
And next time, please use the search function of the board.

Thank you for talking to me like a child re searching which I did however can I suggest you start to learn to reads people's threads properly before dishing out criticism
I am as stated not reffering to samsungs own app I know that inside out and have advised in various thread users on how to make it work
I am in fact referring to camera remote by busy www
I can not find the thread where it was mentioned despite searching from the mobile app but i do remember it only mentioned the app not how to use it hence my new thread
I don't think its compatible with the gc as it doesnt even connect on the website system

I got it to work a litte. I can't connect via Wi-Fi (but I think that's a NAT problem), I did get my Nexus 7 to connect via bluetooth and it sorta works for a while, but the app on the Camera dies as soon as I remotely take a picture.

As I mentioned in the other thread (I created yesterday), the unreleased beta of the app works much better with the GC.
He is adding video features to it right now and then will re-release it to the store I guess.
You install the same app on both devices and select camera or remote mode on the two devices. (or you use a web browser to control the camera device).
The thread was just a heads up that it has been fixed and will be re-released soon. It works quite well for me.
The author has not given me permission to post the beta here. Maybe send him an email and ask for the beta?
He was very friendly and helpful.

Which ROMs support WiFi-Direct natively?

Can someone please answer this? I am going crazy trying to figure this out, and there is so much ignorance in regards to tthis subject, that no one give the answer that I am looking for. The reason, many people have no idea what WiFi-Direct is! I am trying to build an app that will require WiFi-Direct native driver support on the device to work as I will use WiFi-Direct API to share data between devices...So please someone, give me this info. Again, I am not just looking for a third-party app for sharing files, I need the native driver support in the OS ROM so I can use the WiFi-Direct class/methods for android developers in my app code...Thanks in advance!
Xlq4 does I tried it with no problems cheers

(Q) Help with xda app url paste and SG Note lag

I hv got two questions, someone please help
1. how to paste/open a url in xda app - reason is xda app uses lesser data to show the same stuff as compared to any net browsing app, i dnt wanna waste my pracious data on reading same stuff in more net data usage, instead wanna use xda app by simply tapping on any xda forum url, link n getting the option of open with xda app / browser.
2. there is lag while opening contacts, call logs, dialer on my G Note. I am on Ultimate JB ROM 6, xxlt4 with speedmod kernel.
Thnx in advance.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
1. I don't think external links can be open in the xda app.
2. Touchwiz is the problem which causes delay in opening dialer /contacts. If you try a cm rom you will see the difference.

ok..but xda app has space to improve in this regard..
1) when we install xda app for the first time it should automatically detect the device n take us to 'my device forum' only (n providing facility to later change device etc), there is no point in digging in the long list of forums just to find my device specific forum. (presently once u search u can subscribe or add to favorite n all... its good)
2) when browsing in any internet browser we come across much needed help from xda forum but after clickin/ tapping on that link it doesnt recognise n ask whether to open xda forum link using xda app (which is faster, smoother, doesnt hv ads etc) or any browser, it simply continues to open in new tab or so, to further let the browser to use more data as compared to xda app. when i browse xda using its own app its faster, smoother, doesnt hv unecessary things to load/ show up..
Thnk u xda for making our android lives easier n happier.
