Does anybody know how to disable the extremely annoying slide menu? When I got to highlight something from left to right, it pops up and it's extremely annoying.
Also, can the "create new signature" option be disabled? Sometimes when I press the back button from annotating, it will pop up and when I get rid of it, it erases all of my annotations.
Sorry mis read

Everytime I go to view a text message, it takes me to the very bottom of the message, and I have to scroll up to view it. Anyway to fix that?
disable d-pad scroll in kaiser tweak!
or something like that(memory rusty)
Oh my God, you guys are awesome, that was annoying the crap out of me.
Hi, on my 8525 I was able to type in an email address or a phone number for a txt message and press tab to get to the body to begin typing my message. Now i must touch my screen in the boddy to get my cursor there. Anyone know a tweak for this?
Also, when i open my txt messages or emails it opens in the body one level down... so that the first line i see to read is the 3rd line of the body. every time i get a txt message (SMS) or email i must press page up.
Any help is appreciated !
are you using any tweaks currently?
Can't you just press the down arrow to swap from the addressee input to the body of the message? Oh, and about the message opening scrolled down, try disabling the PIE d-pad navigation through kaisertweak. I know that fixes a similar issue where messages open at the bottom.
I am seeing the same thing and no, the down button just scrolls. The only tweaks i am using are from the "KaiserTweak" app.

KaiserTweak>PocketIE>D-Pad Scroll Navigation>Disabled(Default)
I had the same problem once
that resolved both issues. THANKS !!!!
Now this is driving me mental...pressing on the up, down or left sides of the scroll wheel does exactly what it says on the tin...moves the cursor/page etc up, down or left. But when it comes to moving right, the area to press seems to be so tiny that only the most precise press will actually move the cursor, anything else will close whatever app is open (red phone key or backspace). it is infuriating when trying to select a suggested word to the right only to find that you close the message!
Not sure if there is a way to configure this but has anyone got this problem or found a solution?
For me it's the "red button" wich "disapear"... just like that... when I push on it, it make the right direction (just what you want lol)
A soft reset and it become normal...

Same problem here, when I first seen it I thought it was a hardware fault
Quick soft reset fixes it for me, bloody annoying bug but handy if you need the right key at that particular time
my buttons ae fine, they arent so comfortable but work..
Sometimes when I am trying to text I can only see one line and my phone doesn't allow me to scroll down. If I hit enter I can still only see the one line. Anyone else have this problem?

That will happen occassionally. I think the only way to fix it is by closing and then reopening the messaging app.
I have seen this happen often if you hit a button to launch the messaging app, and then slide the keyboard open (causing screen rotation) while the app is loading. It gets confused and makes the text entry area fall under the bottom button bar.
The answer is to completely close and re-open the messaging app, and always wait until it is fully loaded before sliding the keyboard out.
Another trick is to load the SIP. Touch the keyboard icon on the bottom of the screen and it will push the text input window out.
"Do Not Cover The Top Of The Screen" - "Touch Disable Mode" - Cant Use In Armband.
Hi guys,
When I try to use my P20 Pro in my running armband it comes up with the error-screen "Do Not Cover The Top Of The Screen". I can replicate this by covering the front cameras and trying to unlock the phone using a pattern.
A few weeks ago I installed the "Settings Database Editor" app from Google play, which allowed me to modify the setting "Touch Disable Mode" to "0".
This worked great, no more error-screen.
However, my phone updated last week to 8.1.0.130, and I get the error-screen again. The "Touch Disable Mode" option in "Settings Database Editor" has disappeared too.
Any ideas how to get around this?
It is really annoying having to set my music playing, set the Strava running app going, insert phone into armband, put armband on, then start running.
When it warns you, it also tells you touch to inactivate. Which means doing that should disable the alert, secondly it says something about press volume to adjust alert zone or something.

When it warns, it does say you can override this by pressing power and volume up simultaneously, however this is only to override it that once - it's not a permanent override. If the phone is in an armband, it's not possible to press power and volume up without taking it out of the armband.
There's no "Touch to Inactivate" option.
For me it tells me touch to inactivate, secondly it says to change alert zone press volume buttons or something alike it. It could be a bad translation they did idk

I think it may be a bad translation on your one... You can test it by waking up with side power button (not fingerprint) then cover the top sensors of the phone before unlocking it with a patter / pin.
