Hi Everyone, Ive been going at this for days and been round and round on so many pages i'm just lost..
I have HTC one unlocked brought in AUS. Decided to play around with it and didn't do any sort of backup of the original system, unlocked the boot loader, installed CRW and tried a few roms for fun. So today I went and played around again trying to get the stock rom put back on so I can have OTA updates (stupid idea!!!) and now there is no OS installed on the phone...!
So far I have tried to push a zip to the phone with adb but apparently it can only be done when the OS is loaded. Used Hasson tool with no luck.
Essentially I can't load any ROM to the phone and it is just stuck between fastboot and the recovery mod (tried TWRP and CRW).
Ive looked at the RUU files on the website but theres no clear explanation on which one to choose. The htc website has no RUU update either.
Can someone please help with steps to get me back on track. If you need any info to help then please let me know ..

P.S. i will let you know if I have previously tried what you suggest..
So can you get into recovery?

Hi there, i can currently boot into TWRP (which is the most recent version I downloaded today)
1) Flash TWRP custom recovery
2) In recovery go to adb sideload
3) On PC type adb sideload yourrom.zip

Try to adb sideload a rom. after flashing a custom recovery, download hasoon2000's toolkit from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2183942
place it on your desktop and then place your custom rom inside the folder. run the toolkit and use the function "adb sideload" to sideload the rom on your device. also choose "adb sideload" in your custom recovery while doing this.
it should work
If you get into recovery then as everyone is saying sideload a ROM onto your device. There are loads of guides of how to do that.

You know what, i need a kick in the head..
Have previously opened TWRP, went to sideload and wondering why it has done nothing - this time I see the "slide to sideload" option.
Its currently sending right now. If this upload works do I now just have to select the install option and choose the ZIP?

In recovery apply "slide to sideload" , recovery will be to wait command from PC.
On PC type "adb sideload rom.zip" , your rom.zip must be in the same folder with adb.exe.
Pushing the thanks button for everyone who replied, such a simple thing as sliding the abd sideload button to the right to detect it...
Thank you all so much

i posted this in the att section but maybe ill get some help here as well. ill delete my other one.
I just bought a rooted/bootloader unlocked/s-off HTC one from someone. I went to flash TWRP via goo manager and the touch screen does not work in TWRP. i installed CWM and that worked...until the rom i was flashing went to the aroma installer. Then the touch function in recovery stopped working again. Any ideas and help please?

Thanks,,,and luck me i dont have SDK tools/ADB installed on this laptop yet. This is going to be a long night...
thanks again. got it fixed
Hello everyone! I bought some months ago a HTC One m7 and up till yesterday I had no problem with it. It is rooted mainly for backup and utility reasons so as you can understand it still runs on it's factory ROM 4.4.3 with HTC sense 6.09.401.10.
Yesterday I got a notification for Sense update to version 6.09.401.11 saying that it fixes some bugs and enhances the in-call experience so I downloaded it. After 3 min that the download was done, I tried to install it. Phone began the reboot process and it restarted into recovery. Then this showed up in the log:
Code:
Updating partition details...
Processing AOSP recovery commands...
E:Storage partition '/external_sd/TWRP/BACKUPS/
Unable to locate zip file '/external_sd/=CxDyCw
E:Error installing zip file '/external_sd/=CxDy
Done processing script file
And nothing happens. The phone just stays in TWRP until I manually reboot from the menu to the system. I can't find the update file anywhere to install it via the "Install" button so I don't know how to do it manually. I have TWRP version 2.6.3.0 and I've been trying all morning to access the "teamw.in" website in order to download a latter one but there seems to be some kind of problem that gives me a timeout.
Please if anyone has any idea on what I should do I would appreciate any kind of feedback. Thanks in advance.

Hello!!!
Custom recovery is only for flashing custom ROMS...........
FYI if you want to install update then change the recovery to stock and follow the update procedure......
research before asking these kind of silly questions and don't create threads unnecessarily.

It reboots to recovery on its own. It's not like I get to chose. All the previous Sense updates were installed normally after I was pressing the "Install now" button but this one goes into recovery and stops there. There are no posts regarding version 6.09.401.11 since it came out yesterday and that's why I posted.

Hello. If you've installed TWRP, your stock recovery is overwritten by it. Hence to install OTA updates, you must reflash your stock recovery. Twrp CANNOT install OTA updates.
Thread closed. This has been covered hundreds of times. IF you want to use the OTA updates you have to be stock.
Hi guys, I'm experiencing a message "error updating binary zip" thing while trying to flash a liquid smooth rom on my nexus 6. Please help me. Thanks
You might need to update TWRP; what version do you have installed? It should be listed at the top in recovery.

Download this App from PlayStore and you'll be able to find the latest TWRP here It'll automatically flash the recovery and give a try to flash the ROM again
Tried it now and I still have the error while flashing. My version is 2.8.5

Might be they use an old update binary in the zip. Ask in the ROM thread.,
