I was thinking of buying a new phone this week, I mean i love my x8, but you gotta move on
so which is the best phone to buy amongst Dual Core Phones?
I'm very satisfied with my Samsung Galaxy S II (link goes to the phone tech specs)
If you can get it at a discounted upgrade price it may be a bargain, buying the phone at its full price could turn out to be costly.

i know very well about the gs2,, have been researching quite a lot about it,, any other alternatives?
Look into wilbso's [POLL] for people who are looking for a good phone to buy thread? It's about the same topic as your question, and there have been some other recommendations.

Hi guys,
Yesterday, i asked your help to give me some ideas for my website project. I know that it was pretty confusing for all of you here. So i want to make it simple this time.
- Right now, i want to make a website.
- I want this website to help consumers get the best and lowest price of carrier deals for smartphones (flagship ones) such as from Amazon or directly from the carriers themselves.
- i want consumer who visit this site can get the best deals according their needs, such as: the best deals for internet data/phone call/SMS.
- I want this website to be like other websites that can give, say, the latest coupon codes of web hosting, iOS or Android apps, or maybe low cost travel/hotel deals. But, in this case, the coupon codes are the lowest and best deals for smartphones.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST
- I also want to offer the readers of that website a magazine as a FREE giveaway (PDF e-Book) if they subscribe to my email newsletter.
So what i want to ask to you is, from all the topics below (for that FREE giveaway magazine), which the one that you think will make readers want it so bad and attract them to subscribe to my website email newsletter?
1. 10 Best Deals for the latest smartphones.
2. 10 Best Deals for the latest smartphones in 2013.
3. 10 Best Deals for iPhone 5, Samsung GALAXY 4, HTC One and other popular smartphones.
4. 10 Tips to get the best and lowest smartphone deals.
5. 10 Places to get the best and lowest smartphone deals.
5. 10 Things to Avoid before Signing the smartphone contract.
6. 10 Best Deals for the latest smartphones on Amazon.
7. 10 Hidden Places to get the best Deals for the latest smartphones.
8. 10 Best Carriers with the Best services and Affordable Deals.
9. 10 Worst Carrier Deals you must avoid.
Which one that you think is more effective to attract people and make them want to sign up to my email newsletter?
If you have any other suggestion for other topic that is more interesting that mine above, please feel free to shot your opinion here.

Hi guys and girls here,
I really need all of your help. COuld you all please give me some ideas for my survey here. I'm planning to make a website and with this website, i want to help customers find the lowest cost carrier deals for smartphones and tablets", of course for the latest flagships/tablets around the market to date (like iPhone 5, SGS SIII/S4, Xperia Z, etc) and the most popular carriers in the world (like Verizon, AT&T, US Cellular, etc).
What i really need is, for example, if i make a website, what kind of tips or solutions do you always want to know every time you're planning to buy new smartphone or tablet? What type of information that you all usually search on the internet in order to get the best deals before buying the smartphone.
For examples are like,
"Which carriers have the lowest cost of internet data/phone service/text plans for iPhone 5",
"5 Tips to find the lowest cost carrier plans/deals" or
"the pros and cons of using cheaper carrier deals",
"the pros of cons for using internet data on verizon for iPhone 5"
or something like that.
So please could you all help give me some ideas for articles that i want to make about this topic. I really appreciate all of your help here. Thanks..

This may sound harsh, and i dont mean to be. . . But www.google.com springs to mind, research, and also theres lots of websites out there like that. . . just look and read.
This is off-topic and shouldn't be posted in the HTC One thread.
I think you're ten years too late, here in germany there a lot of websites to find favorable contracts with highend smartphones.
Guys I'm sure this Question would be raised much earlier, but not able to see this post. Read a lot many negative reviews about this phone, flipkart having issues with replacements, service centers not operational etc.. In a big dilemma weather to buy this or not..
Genuine advice please.

For the money you are paying , it is definitely worth. Even i saw many negative reviews but later most of the users got their replacement , moreover the bugs are software kinda issues you could official Xiaomi English forum to fix software kinda issues.
I bought my Mi3 from flipkart only i dont have any issues so far i bought 2nd flash sale on flipkart. The sim card tray will be lil hard to open just push it hard it will pop out So Definitely for 14k it is Worth it!
a phone with better specs than Nexus 5 for half the price, do you really have to ask that question?
i am paying considerably more for it because i have to import from china, and i'd say it is still worth every penny.
for that kind of money i would only get a low-midrange device in my country (except i would go for a subsidized one with provider lock)
as with all electronic devices, there are probably going to be duds, as even the best QC will not test every single device. happens to the best. should not be used to judge in my opinion, except there is a high number of failing devices.
you have local service centers, so even that would not be a problem.
i envy you people in India, and still there are some *peeep* complaining.
check your alternatives in that price range and then tell me if you found something better?
sorry for the ranty post... i certainly don't mean to offend anyone.
don't worry too much, just buy one and enjoy it.
Lol...I just ordered my third Mi3 yesterday for my son...
i'll buy it
for me mi3 is just unfair for smartphone competition, it will drag all the fancy phone come play to the ground. MI 3 still the best phone in its class compared to others. just minus couple of things like no sdcard, no lte, not a water proof and not a dust proof. Other than that, it is a great phone and the best in its class..

Hello there,
I am thinking of purchasing a new Nexus 6. I just want a phone with a bigger screen and great development support that can last for around the next 4 - 5 years..
Can anyone help me in knowing the battery life and the overall experience of using a Nexus 6..
Price is 278 USD.
Would be of great help..!
Thanks,
A fellow Android user.
PS - My main reason of considering a N6 is a great community support

I just bought a refurbished one used, for 200€ . As a play store refurbished unit it comes with 2 years warranty and it s like new. Here in Europe Google refurbish devices when you RMA it for some problem, and gives 2 years of warranty so now I have a brand new nexus 6. It a great it a like to have an unlimited warranty. I bought a nexus 6 from a nexus 5 only for the warranty and to have a battery that last all day. That said this phone is great in everything and I start to get addicted to the enormous screen. In hand it feels better than many other phones, it a fast , good battery, good camera, and awesome display. My only problem is the bug with 7.1.1 with loudspeaker calls, and auto volume reduction when is too high. So if you can live with an enormous screen , I can tell you buy it ,you will not regret

If it's a 64GB device and new, that's a better deal than relying on the very unreliable ebay.
Not worth, phone os is going to 64bit but this phone does not support 64bit os, also the price is high.

If you can find one for 250$ at most then go ahead, buy one. I bought the 32Gb version in 2015, black Friday on Amazon for just 200$ and I couldn't be more happier. You have lots of ROM's to choose from and the development community is awesome.
Could be a problem for the future though, since its internals may not cope well with the future versions of Android, being a 32-bit device and all.
Anyways, hope this helped.

I got mine in November for $250.00 Canadian with 2 Spigen cases. It is a great phone for the price.

I got mine for 156$ USD last summer. It was used 32gb in mint condition. Guess I got lucky with the prize. I'll have to say that I'm impressed with the community and this phone will definitely be supported by the community for a long time. Look at Nexus 4. It still has great support. Either way Nexus 6 is truly a legendary beast. The media experience is what got me. For the prize is hard to find a phone with as good community support and good for Nexus consumption. I'm sad that Google ditched dual front facing speakers on the Pixel. If I ever upgrade next year or at the end of this it would be to the 6P if the prize is right. If not I'll keep the 6 until it dies. They don't make phones like these, these days.

I can't deny it's a great phone and probably will get you through 4-5 years, but if I were making the purchase now I would just get a 6p. It is quite a bit more expensive, though. I would think it's worth it. But I can't say for certain because I don't have the device
I got mine a year ago at 250 brand new on amazon, so I would say hell no for 275. I got tired of the Nexus 6, great phone and all, but I started to feel like I bought a phone that never worked at 100% and had to tinker it all the time to be happy with it, and still there I wasn't totally happy with it.
Hell, I bought a huawei p9 last week and it's working better than my nexus 6 ever did (worse screen and speakers of course, but dont care), but it's a way better phone that just works, and it's fast, and shoots great pictures, and battery lasts.
If you NEED a developer phone, get a 6p... If you just want a good phone, check huawei and honor phones, great options for good prices!
Thank you everyone for your time..
If N6 is not an good choice now, Can anyone tell me a phone running PURE ANDROID and in the same budget i.e 278 USD ( INR - 20000) and having a great community support..

When it comes to smartphones, ebay is the worst choice. For all you know, the new device you supposedly bought was actually a repack with Factory Reset Protection triggered. On ebay there is no control and no protection from the unscrupulous. Swappa is much better, as each phone put up for sale must be approved by a member of Swappa, plus unless the phone is in the Swappa boneyard, the phone is guaranteed to work without hassle. Otherwise you send the phone back and get your money refunded.
Having used Swappa once to purchase my S4, I'll never use ebay to get a phone. If Amazon didn't have new 64GB devices at this time last year, I would have used Swappa again. Ebay never entered the discussion.

Thank for providing an insight into this. I did never thought about this happening.
Thought Ebay is a fair choice, but what about the "Ebay GUARANTEE", that it provides..!
Also, Swappa is not present in India, sadly.

Moto G4 was my initial choice.
But, seeing the cases Motorola is doing with their phones.. I feel that Moto has lost their sheen..
My dad recent wanted a phone, I choose Moto G3 Turbo, thinking that It would certainly get the Nougat update and regular security update. But, sadly, Motorola dropped the entire G3 series from the Nougat update program, even not fulfilling the 2yr update promise.
My choice for N6 was that even though both phones has will get nougat, N6 would have a nice development scene in the coming year.
Also, Moto G4 is plagued with heating issues.
Can you give me another recommendation..
It's a great phone but I'm sure you can get it for less, 278 is a ripoff even for 64gb.

So, I'm new here. Been wanting to get on a forum for months because of my Galaxy Note 9. I bought it brand new about five months ago. But it's been having issues. Okay, not the place to share those.
I'm happy to be here. I'm not an IT person, and anything having to do with tech and I'm blind as a deer with no eyes... Meaning I have no i-dea. Hopefully, not everyone here is hyper-tech and doesn't get the joke.
So, great thing I'm finally here. I really hope I can find all the answers for my Note 9 here because it's such a nice phone that I'd hate to have to sell or trade it in so soon after I got it. I try to keep each phone I get for at least two years. No idea.
@ValleyAnt
Welcome to the xda family.
Cheers.
