1.how is the call quality ?
1.a.is there any echo?
1.b is the call clear to hear?
1.c is the speaker phone loud?
2.options and apps

thanks and i hope i can make the shift to the kaiser and be part of this forum
You will enjoy being a part of this forum if you search and read the existing threads on here. Most of your questions have been covered in this forum.
(It will save you being flamed by people)
The abovementioned holds true but I will answer your questions anyway.
1a. no, not at all
1b. yes, today's standard I would say
1c. seriously - one of the loudest I've ever heard
2a. I haven't tried it yet but I think it should be possible
2b. it has by default
2c. no idea
3a. it's like 15-20% difference. My TyTN II lasts one day on heavy usage, two days on average use.
3b. 1350 mAh - you really could have easily find this one
4. There aren't any (at least for me), seriously this is one astonishingly great PDA phone.
2a) Recording phone calls does not work well, and will generally only record your side very clearly, unless you use the speaker phone, in which case it will record both sides very well.
2c) There is a brilliant scripting language called Mortscript which is very powerful and widely used.

Surur
I did the same shift: P990i->TyTN II.
1.a No.
1.b Yes.
2.a No. Same problem with the P990i.
4. BT voice quality. I have also an issue with slow response to screen taps. This seems to be related to buggy audio drivers.
man ,,, thanks guys for wellcoming me on this fourm ,,, i'm happy to hear these comments + didn't get flamed .
i'll try to search more next time i promise,, i was just to eager to get the kaiser + i wanted to see if anyone on the forum shifted from p990.
i used the kaiser today in one of the stores ,, and i got the same feeling in the slow tap response,,, any work arounds / updates to solve this??
htc didn't release the arabic version yet (arabic printed keyboard) the store said that they will have it in 2 weeks time ,,,

I'm putting my hopes to the new ROM update from HTC. No word on when this will be available, although some sightings have already been made.
if you disable the tap sound ,,, does it make it any better???
i guess you tried this ,,, or the phone might have tap sound disabled by default.
since i'm used to SE bad support ,, i have to ask how is HTC support / updates?? do they fix problems or make you wait 1 year and then realse a new phone (p1i)

Disabling tap sound solves the problem to pretty much 100 percent. And tap sounds are disabled by default but I tried enabling this as this was my preference but not for long...
Regarding HTC software support: even though Microsoft releases their AKU updates fairly often, don't hold your breath to see more than one or two updates trickle down to your phone model. With the Kaiser being one of HTC's current flagship models (???) I hope and pray that they will release updates at least until major problems have been sorted out.
My opinion of SE on this was better. Even though they stopped providing updates to the P990i even before it was one year old, at least the updates were quite frequent. And with the last update, they solved all outstanding issues that I had at least been bothered by.
In you want to record phone calls, sign up for Google's GrandCentral. Once you use GC you will wonder how you ever lived without it.
all i have to do is wait 2 weeks ,,, this will give me more time to read + price might drop
if there are an others who shifted from p990 ,, plz post your views ,,,
thanks all

Xperia X Performance (F8132) Accelerometer failure & Screen Auto-rotate irresponsive
Hi All,
I got an issue bothering me since I bought Xperia X Perfomance (F8132) Mid June.
The auto rotate function failed after a while but everything goes fine after reboot.
When it fails, I use "Xperia Service Menu" -> "Service Tests" -> "Accelerometer",
then all X,Y,Z are zero and the ball just sticks and freezes at mid.
I bought from Taiwan and I can find 15 more people having the same symptom with me on 2 forums
( http://mobile01.com and http://gamer.com.tw ).
Hence I don't think it's only me and it's a common issue or common yield problem for Xperia X Perfomance.
I post here because I'd like to find more people with the same issue and raise the attention of SONY in order to find the root cause (i guess it's either over-heat causes this or accelerometer yield issue) and give a patch.
Now I'm using a APP "Rotation Control" to workaround this, but all photos cannot records correct orientation data and no auto-rotate is kinda inconvenient.
For a flag-ship and high-priced cellphone for SONY this year, it is very disappointing to me. :crying:
Version: 35.0.A.1.227 and 35.0.A.1.238 both occur

I also have that problem. No more auto-rotation after a while (1-2 days) . Only a reboot fixes that

Thank you for letting us know.
It shows it's not a regional FW issue but a global HW or FW one.
I wonder if SONY knowing this. If not, we need to address this and push SONY to work it around.
And if it is not workaroundable, SONY will have a big problem.
I have the same issue on my Xperia X (F5121) bought in Sweden. Haven't checked the accelerometer but the behaviour is the same and reboot is only fix.
I have not had any problems with auto rotation, my accelerometer works fine but my touch screen is messed up
Sent from my F8131 using XDA-Developers mobile app

Can you specify "messed up"? I've had issues with the touch screen also, mostly that it registers a tap while I'm scrolling resulting in involuntary tapping on links. Also it often takes a while to start scrolling, as if the screen has a hard time recognising the swipe.
I have the same problem. The accelerometer stop working 15 minutes after reboot.
Help me verify if is caused by a third party app or not.
Use your phone in safe mode for a while.
I'm from Hong Kong, the accelerometer and its auto-rotation of my x performance has the same problem that it won't work until i reboot my phone.
I dont think that is caused by a app crashing when the problems occuring in all around the world.
The issue didnt come to me when I was not yet update to 35.0.A.1.282. Please notice this problem SONY. It seriously affected the satisfaction from user of the phone from your brand.
There is a topic on the Sony support forum - see here: http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-X-Performance/Accelerometer-stops-working/m-p/1158490#U1158490
At least they are aware of the problem. As soon as it happens again on my phone, I will send them my logs. I will report any development...
It seems that I uninstall the AR effects in my phone and reboot, it works again
Rotation fails
Hello guys,
I have the same problem. Yesterday it worked fine, but today, the auto rotate don't work. Very disappointing. Only a reboot can help but not every time.
Sony has to do something with it.
Gyroscope/Auto-Rotation Issue
Hey everyone,
I'm also having this same issue, but only since the most recent update from late September. When trying to make a pic display as fullscreen by rotating the phone, nothing happens, unless I reboot the phone. Then within day or two, it starts happening again. When I go to camera it loads up and STAYS in landscape mode, no matter what I do, even closing it out and clearing out the cache & force stopping it then reactivating it. It seems like a software issue that Sony needs to address PRONTO!
It appears another thread here on XDA is dealing with the same issue. I tried shenlong85's idea and it seems to have fixed the issue, but I need another day or so to make sure. If you don't hear from me by Sunday (10/23), assume it's been fixed. Hopefully the Nougat update we're all about to get any day now will permanently fix it!
The memory uninstall updates only prolong the issues. Seems like the firmware issue earlier on.
Nougat... When are u coming?

Well, we'll see. I am giving my XP 'til Sunday........if no more auto-rotate issues by then, then I will consider your idea to be gold. lol Of course, once we get Nougat, I'm hoping it will ensure that the issue never comes back period. As of this time, the issue has NOT returned.
I bought my Xperia X Performance from Kogan who sells imports in Australia from Asia and I have the exact same issues with my orientation and touchscreen. However my jumpy touchscreen only seems to occur while charging.

I tried shenlong85's idea, but less than 24 hours after trying it, I switched my phone from Portrait to Landscape to view a 16:9 widescreen pic I had in my Album, and it WOULD not auto-rotate the pic. So unfortunately this "trick" doesn't work either.
Just have to hope Sony includes a fix with the Nougat update we're about to get any day now from them.
I'm noticing now too that once the Auto-Rotate function stops working, so does Smart Call Handling. Have to swipe screen once again to take calls. Hurry up Nougat!! lol
I'm having the same issue and the only help I'm getting from Sony support is to factory reset my device :\ I'm hoping Nougat makes it's way to our devices soon. I really like this phone and this is a pretty big issue to have.

I agree Spencer. And yes Sony Mobile told me the same thing. I'll do a repair (which yes, includes a factory reset) only IF Nougat doesn't fix it. They say we're getting it "in or close to October", so I'm guessing it's gotta be coming any day now. Hopefully they include a fix with Nougat though and I don't have to do that. Getting tired of this BS with Sony. My Z3 had an issue where if I turned on Stamina Mode, it would 1) mess with my MMS (group/pic/video) text messages.........you don't know how many times I had to ask ppl to resend those to me and how much that sucked lol 2) Cause a "random" battery drain. Only fix was a factory reset. I FINALLY got wise and realized it was SM and kept it off. Found a great app called 360 Hibernation Master that did what SM was supposed to do but better, MINUS the buggy BS. But OF COURSE it doesn't work on any X series phone (at least not my XP), so I'm stuck with SM now. At least Sony Mobile FINALLY fixed that bug with SM so that's not an issue anymore. lol
It is a big issue, and it makes me not want to keep buying their phones.
Hello,
because i bought a new phone i gave my "old" Nexus 6 to my wife. Since a updated to Marshmallow i had problems with the camera. It stuttered while making a video. But i dont often used the camera, so i ignored it. My wife is Snapchat addicted and she can't make good videos with the front camera of the N6....it's like a slide show....the record is not smooth. I searched at the internet and a lot of people have the same problem since Adnroid Marchmallow ....
I flashed her CM 14, because i thought it might be a problem with the stock rom , but the problem remained. So my question is. Because i know i had not the problem at Android Lollipop. Is there anybody who had the same problem and solved it with flashing another rom? Or is it worth to try another kernel? I looked at the "rom forum" and found the "sky dragon 5.0 with a "new" kernel and probably i will try this. So my question is....is it a problem with the rom? is it a problem with the kernel? is it a problem with the hardware? What you expert think its the best way to fix the problem (i tried tips in the internet like diasble geodata at the photos or disable the battery safer for the camera app).
I hope you are able to understand my english. Otherwise i will explain it in other words.
Thank you very much!
Flash a factory image (will wipe the phone 100% but take it back to bone stock). If the camera issue is present on stock rom, stock kernel, with no modifications, then it's a hardware issue.
i have had problems with stuttering camera app before but it was fixed by resetting the phone. not really sure why after installing a new ROM you still facing this issue.
have you tried other camera apps? download a free one from the store and see its the same deal.
My first Nexus 6 had no issues whatsoever. When I had to RMA that one for the massive battery bulge issue, my second Nexus 6 had the camera stuttering issue. It would happen whether I was taking still shots or video. Obviously it was more noticeable on video, but it still made taking stills difficult. I took a video at the time to post on here to see if other people where having the same problem, but actually never got around to posting it...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k23njriKiDk
Anyway, I RMAed that phone for the camera issue but then the third N6 had the same issue. I decided to live with it though since (a) Motorola has a really frustrating return policy/procedure, and (b) since two different devices had it I didn't think there was any guarantee that an RMA would fix the problem.
Fortunately, I've noticed that lately (running Nougat now), the stutter has mostly gone away. I'd say that for still pictures it has gone away entirely. For videos, I think it is gone as long as you use the stock camera app. I've noticed that if you use other apps, like Instagram for example, my video still has issues. In that case though, it's more of a constant refocusing issue than a stutter issue.
So moral of the story is... for me at least, it seems to be ok on Nougat as long as you stick to the stock camera app.
Hello guys
I have a Nokia 8(TA-1004) phone with some problems. I'm running Android 9 security patch 1 may 2019. I've disable since 5 months ago stock camera because i used multiple version of Google camera. When i enable now the stock camera it does not work.
I have to mention that with Google camera i have somethimes a huge lag before starting the app. I made 2 time hard reset but the problems are still there.
Another problem it's with bluetooth, when i activate the bluetooth the phone it's closing the display
Do you have any solution for my problems?
Regards
Alin
Hi there all, I'm a decently smart man and have tried just about everything I understand how to do to get my wife's camera back up and working correctly b the app is laggy AF when launching. Installed 3rd party camera and even the newest gcam port. No matter what one I use the app loads but the camera doesn't become usable for 20-30 seconds after. I've tried clearing the data and cache of app. I cleared cache partition. Factory reset and even tried using Google lens. Once the camera is up and running it's a decent photo taking device but truly when it was on Oreo everything was fine. Still soft and not perfect compared to iPhone and pixel but for what it is the v40 had shot decent photos. I don't know how to unlock bootloader and install a KDZ or TAR file if that's something I'll be needing to do.
I've searched reddit and XDA most say everything I've tried and most have worked for others sadly not my case. Thanks in advance for all help here.
I know LG bridge is a think just don't know if I can down grade the OS via that way. Long post sorry
You have to understand that an android operating system update by a manufacturer is **** and slows down performance or break the features. If your phone came in on android 8 then dont go to 9 as youll notice its slower, android 9 is smooth but the real test is when your using browsers and apps like games, facebook etc. Ive owned many types of android from BLU Studio, Samsung, LG, Acetel, and they are **** when going past the OS it came in on first day release.
In terms of downgrading the new LG UP is safe to try KDZ downgrade as if it detects a higher antirollback it will alert you and stop.
