Stock keyboard - AT&T Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I am selling my note 3 and had in the past replaced the stock ime with a themed one. I unrooted and did a factory reset with no problems. But I deleted my backed up odex and srock keyboard apk. I have a nrw note 3 and tried to copy and past the files from there with no luck even after fixing permission. I can replace the two files withthe themed keyboard and it woeks finr after reboot. I want to sell the phone as close to stockk as possible so I dont have issues. Im still in MJ5. Any suggestions to get the keyboard back or restore stock with ease?
I dont want the buyer to come back to me with remorse because they cant update to kitkat next year . Thanks guys

[Q] How do I get the stock android keyboard?

I recently flashed the cognition v2.3b4 rom and restored everything, but I cant restore the stock keyboard even though I backed it up. This happened to the live wallpapers too but my main concern is the keyboard.

U might be able to pull the apk off an older rom that contains samsung keyboard and use adb to install it.

[WANTED] Flashable Stock 4.0.4 Launcher Zip

Could anyone kindly make stock 4.0.4 (preferably, if not 4.0.3 is fine) launcher ZIP file for Nexus S 3G that would replace third party launcher on custom ROM?
Thank you!!!
Could anyone help me out? I'm stuck in FC problem because of a custom ROM and I already re-flashed multiple times in the past few days so I would really hate to do that again...

Extract the launcher from a 4.0.4 Rom. Replace the one in your system with root explorer. Remember to set permissions correctly.

Well as of now, I can't proceed beyond lock screen... so I can't copy any files using Root Explorer. It force closes several different apps constantly like Launcher, Wallet, Book, etc... I have to pull the battery.
So I was looking for a flashable zip that would replace (get rid of) the custom launcher.
That's what I did though.
I was using nuhetri-reloadedv 3.0.1 ROM. It asked me to choose between APEX and Trebuchet launcher... it worked fine for couple reboots.
Then it just force closes everytime. So I reflashed it and did what you asked, but it still force closes........ So I'm back in backed up stock ROM for now...
I have an earlier version of Nova if you want. It's a flashable zip.

Put a new from on your SD card via PC. Then give it a clean install. And you're done.

[Q] Removing Google Now

Like most people, I jumped at the chance to have Google Now w/ voice on my HTC Vivid running ICS. Worked well until the newer version came out which was JB only. I got tired of the 'newer version is available' nag so I removed Google Now using StockGoogleSearch.zip but apparently it left behind voicesearch.apk version 3.0.1 which would force close. I downloaded version 2.1.4, replaced it in the system/app folder and changed the permissions to be the same (rw user, r system) and it works well until I reboot. When I reboot it re-installs version 3.0.1 and I have to install 2.1.4 and it works again. I know I'm missing something obviously but I don't know what. Any ideas?
Just reflash your ROM without wiping should remove whatever Google now added

Just running the stock rooted ICS Rom. Would this still work?

correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you have to run an RUU
You know you could have just swiped away the card notifying you of the new version, and it wouldn't have nagged you anymore. As far as removing it, you should have made a backup before flashing it, as is advised multiple times in the OP of the Google Now for ICS thread... just flashing whatever ROM you're running should get you back, but you may end up having to full wipe/reflash

Doing a factory reset and keeping root

I have a rooted Note 3 and was wondering is it possible to do a factory reset and keep root? I am considering selling my note so I want the phone to be completely wiped of my personal information but have it retain root as I think that will help the resale. I have not flashed roms I am still using stock but am using things like xsposed installer. Thanks.

MJ5 stock keyboard - grey/white text...

Recently flashed Firenote but I dont really like the white keyboard it comes with. Does anyone have the apk for the stock keyboard that is on MJ5. It is grey with white text like the Note 2 keyboard.
I pulled the apk and odex files from MJ5 and attempted to deodex them but could not get the resulting apk to work 100% correctly....
Thanks!
