Hi! This morning I noticed a new tile that appears half second later I open the tile menu.
It's chromecast mirroring!!!!
I thought it was because of an Xposed module but when I try to mirror the screen an error Toast Notification appears, and thanks to an Xposed module I can see that the notification is sent by Google Play Services.
So I assume that it is a built in function.
Am I correct?
In the screenshots attached you the browser is open, but the tile is always there..
Unfortunately I didn't managed to letting it working..

Can't see your screenshots for some reason, and would help to know what device and Android OS version you're using.
EDIT: Now I see your screenshots.
What's your chromecast build?
What's your chromecast build? I'm in CM11 and I see Wireless Screen as an option in tile settings, but it doesn't appear to me. My CC has team eureka rom build 15520.

Mirroring support is limited to the later versions of KitKat (Android 4.2 or above).
They are the only devices that support Mirroring for Mirrorcast/CCast and I'm not sure but only the very latest version of KitKat on Google Experience (aka Nexus) devices has it baked into their OS for CCast support.
Manufacturers are probably a version behind anything Google is doing and not even aware that they can enable that feature for their units.
[EDIT] Just to clarify in your case not sure what CM is doing as far as Mirror support. It largely will depend on who is maintaining your Device on CM.
KitKat is 4.4.x ok.

Miracast support began with 4.2.

Android 4.2 is jellybean, but yes does support miracast (different than Chromecast mirroring). Many people have reported seeing the cast screen option since KitKat's release on various roms and devices but it hasn't worked for anyone. Koush got it to work with the mirror app but only for Nexus 5.
I believe this is coming sooner than later officially from Google.

Thanks for clearing up my mess...
I was trying to say 4.2 was Miracast only and the latest versions of KitKat may (or may not depending on the Rom Source) do mirroring to CCast with Root.

Hello
I'm running Galaxy S i9000 with CM10.2. I have installed the stable version of the Google Chrome from Play Store.
The problem is that the tabs are not how they are normally found in other Android phones. They are bunch of rows. How to make the tabs appear normally?
With this tab layout I can't use the gestures to switch tabs.
The only extra feature I see is that there is an "undo" option whenever you close the tab.
I have attached the screenshot for reference. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

Looks like the next day AP in their blog post showed that they could make the tab layout as above with help for chrome://flags. The feature is called "Accessibility Tab Switcher". But this is only for Chrome Beta.
I'm forced into the accessibility tab switcher mode in the stable version of chrome too. And I cannot find any option of disable in flags.
Also I installed the Chrome Beta. But here too it looks like I'll be forced with accessibility tab switcher whether or not it's enabled in the flags.
Anyone here can please tell me if your device is also having the tab layout like mine in chrome?

I have the same problem on my Optimus 2X. Happened during the end-of-August update. My guess is that Google implemented this stupid restriction on phones with 512MB RAM since Chrome is a huge resource hog. Which is dumb, because this tab layout with lists doesn't have any performance improvements over the cards layout.

Well I got a Samsung Young Duos which is with 512MB RAM and it's got proper tab layout. Don't know what's going in here.

I don't know if you guys care anymore, but the newest version of Chrome Beta brought back the cards tab layout for me.
chrome 31 was released. doesnt matter if you have the flag enabled or disabled, it forces me into the accessibility tab switcher. any ideas? are you guys still having trouble on your sgs1? i wonder where i could get into contact with someone from google about it.

Google Search - Latest Update
v3.1.8
Changes:
It officially brings Search version 3 (3.1.8 to be exact) that shipped in KitKat to all devices running 4.1+. This includes an updated UI, new refresh animation, among other things.
Because Search houses the Google Experience Launcher (GEL) inside, this update also brings GEL to all devices running Android 4.1+. All you need to do after installing Search 3.1.8 is install the launcher app from here, and voila - GEL for all, not just KitKat devices. I have it running on 4.1, 4.3, and 4.4 on both phones and tablets, and it finally looks perfect.
As I mentioned above, 3.1.8 completely fixes the wonky GEL layout on tablets. As you may have seen yesterday, several things on the Nexus 7, for example, were out of whack - the keyboard was popping when you tapped Home, the icons were old, and the Search box was off-center. All fixed.
Remember: GEL does support transparency in the navigation and status bars, but you need KitKat for that to work. And Google disabled it system-wide on the Nexus 10.
New cards:
Website update card
News topic card
What to watch card
Traffic incidents using Waze on maps.
Recurring reminders.
Real-time scores for rugby teams
See when your packages are ready for in-store pickup.
You can now bring back dismissed cards by pressing Undo.
Download
The APK is signed by Google and upgrades your existing app. The cryptographic signature guarantees that the file is safe to install and was not tampered with in any way. Rather than wait for Google to push this download to your devices, which can take days, download and install it just like any other APK.

Ace! I'd just installed the launcher and search from the other thread and was a bit annoyed by the keyboard popping up on my tablet z, this has fixed it. Nice one OP!
On tablet z the app drawer is much tidier now, with 6x5 icons, the previous version had all the app icons squashed up together, there must've been about 80 icons on 1 screen!
Working on both Z and tablet z

It wasn't working on 4.4.4 either. Google need to approve each device for Chromecast mirroring. I guess they didn't approve the moto x yet.
toastido has it working on the Nexus 7 here:

I've tried it and it works, only issue is that it doesn't survive a reboot... Any ideas?

I am having the same issue. Any word on when this will get approved\fixed?
There's an app that used to work on 4.4.4. Mirror Enabler (requires root), however I can't get it to work on lollipop. Probably have to wait.
Edit: seems like it works as long as you don't reboot. After reboot you have to disable and reenable the app. Here's a link to the thread.

Yeah, for some reason Google will approve all the Samsung phones under the sun, but none from a company they used to own....

Thats an update to the chromecast app, which we shouldnt need. Its still not working from the notification toggle. My nexus 7 discovers my chromecast, but my moto x does not. Very annoying.

As screen casting to Chromecast is still in beta for non-Nexus devices, it is unlikely that Chromecasts will show up in Cast Screen settings. My guess is that only Miracast devices will appear there until Chromecast screen casting is out of beta.

Why did they put it in the pull down menu on this device then? Just a little annoying, especially as the software is near stock. Doesn't make sense why the moto x can't recognize it there, but can screen cast from the app...

I tried screen cast from the Chromecast app a few times over the weekend, and it was extremely buggy. When in portrait, only the left third of the phone screen showed up on my TV. In landscape, just the upper left quadrant of the phone screen showed up. The software is too buggy to bake it into the native settings. I haven't tried Miracast yet, but I've heard that it's a lot more stable.

Hmmm well it worked great in the Chromecast app for me. And it works flawlessly on my nexus 7. But that's neither here nor there. They shouldn't have put it in the settings menu if the moto x isn't supported. It's unfinished to have an option like that come up, but not be avail.
I am running CM 12 nightlies on my XT-1052. I want to enable the feature "Ok Google Everywhere" but it seems to he hidden. I tried typing and speaking ok google everywhere in the google search app like the CNET guide but couldn't get it to work. Since Cyanogen has beautifully incorporated the Contenxtual computing core with Shake to wake camera and Pulse notifications on pick up, i was wondering why waste the Natural language processing core and set the detection. But i am not able to find the option to do so. Any sort of help would be appreciated. Also i am using PA gapps 5.0.1 full.
You need to go into Google Now settings, select Voice and enable the "from any screen" option. But... On my xt1060 I try to enable it and only get the spinning circle... So there may be an issue with it.

I dont have that option. Seems to be hidden (screenshots attached). But i am not using google now which could be the reason?
I would say that's probably why you don't have the option. Install the GN launcher and see if it shows up. But apparently it's not working on CM12 anyways.
I did try it with Google Now enabled but same thing. I am using the Google Now Launcher; it came with the gapps package.
Same problem here, it seems that the mic is not working when I try to set the OK google detection

Cool. Does it work even when the phone is asleep? I can't find the option to do the same anywhere.
Edit: I had disabled store voice data in the account settings. The option is now available.

It works when the screen is on and unlocked. According to the voice training, it is supposed to work "with the screen on or when plugged in", but I just tried with it plugged in and the screen off, and again with it plugged in and the lock screen up... neither worked.

Yeah its not working for me either but the guys at Cyanogen will figure it. They are doing a great job with the device. Recent nightlies have been super stable and i know we'll get CM 12.1 (5.1) before Motorola release 5.0.2 smh.

I think you mean the quick settings background. All of the Xposed modules that I used to used for this on previous versions of Android don't seem to work anymore. You can just download an app from the Play Store though called Material Notification Shade and set your own custom background image under the "Others" category. I also recommend, under "Themes" setting the panel theme to "Oreo" and the notification theme to "Colored". It also looks pretty sharp if you check the box by "Use Google Sans Font". Some of the other tweaks are fun to play around with too. Then, when you're done, just switch it on at the top of the app to see the changes you've made.
Hope this helps!

The reason for the compatibility and Parsing is because that app is only compatible for (and I quote from this apps Play Store details)..
"For all Android 5.0+ devices"
I'm not sure what's available for you that's the same as this app since I don't use it.
There's plenty of CyanogenMod 11 Themes on the Play Store that should be able to do this as well but, I haven't used CM11 in a long time.
Good Luck!
