I like stock too. Google Play Music works fine, but stock htc looks better.

Download both files and copy to /sytem/apps (will ask for replace old music player, replace)and then set permissions to rw-r-r, then reboot

Playing music files according to folder location is one way to avoid playing sounds you don't want to hear. It will only play music files inside the selected folder/s.
I use MIUI player from one of the ROMS on our I9001 section. It filters them away by first start and use..
Could just replace your system tones ie.. sms and ringtones to .ogg files using Format factory application HERE
And put them in system/media and which ever folder you wish ringtones etc.. and reboot phone
thats what i did and now music player doesnt play my tones

Hi was wondering if there was a decent music player that plays flac files?
I have tried poweramp but i dont like the look of it

Have you tried xenoamp? The app has its own equalizer and a great one at that.

Poweramp in my experience is easily the best music player for android, and as the post above points out, there are plenty of skins available for it, so you can tailor it to your taste.

Yes the default player on mine plays Flac files too.
Hi!
I wonder which music player to use. I think about Apollo and Google Play Music. In my country (Poland) we don't have Google Play Music service but I love the Google Play Music look. What do you think?

It's the built-in player included in Samsung stock ROMs. As far as I can see from your sig, you are running stock, so check it out, it should be called "Music". Everyone's preferences are different, but for me personally, it's the best option overall (even after trying quite a bunch of more advanced players). The most important feature for me is the ability to work with folders, not just playlists/albums/artists (surprisingly lacking in many other players).
Frankly, I am not familiar with the 4.2.2 version of the Sammy music player, as it might be different from 4.1.x (I played around with 4.2.2, but didn't use it extensively).
Oh, i forgot to say you, that I have Cyanogenmod 10.1 installed. Is it legal to download the apk with stock player and install it?
PowerAMP, good design, lots of functions
PowerAMP or player pro..! Any of the two...! Best according to me...

With Mort music player you have a folder based navigation. That's important for me. So I like Mort music player the most.
Walkman. Cant be beat

I have All Access in Google Play Music, and use it on both my HTC One and my Nexus 7 2013. I noticed last night that I have gapless playback on my Nexus, regardless of whether the songs are downloaded or not. I also have gapless playback on my laptop, playing from the Web page. My One continues to have a slight gap between songs. Both services are running stock Android 4.4.2. I couldn't find any way to make changes in settings. Any idea how I can get this to work on my One?

are you using the stock app for your nexus 7? i know the stock music app from google does allow that but the stock HTC sense music app doesnt allow that. so thats where you might want to clarify
No, in all cases in using the built in player for Google Play Music.

In fact, I don't think the Nexus even has a music player other than Google Play Music.
