I think all except the All In One tweaks, adrenaline boost, performance boost and faster wifi driver make a difference.

Yep. I haven't tried out some of them, but they should be worthwhile judging by the thread comments.

Hi all I'm running mclaws cm9 rc1 and just downloaded order and chaos but I find it to be very laggy even the sound skips. I've seen videos on YouTube where the game runs OK.
The things I've tried are...
Gamebooster app set on ultra gaming.
Chainfire3d with nvidia plugin and downgraded textures.
I have a 512mb swap file
Ended all background tasks.
Turned off sound.
But the game still lags any other ways to boost gaming performance would be appreciated thanks

Ending background tasks is usually useless, except for some. Most of them just restart.
You could try overclocking your phone. I believe the highest stable value is 921Mhz.
If you still want more, get a new phone.
Use cm7. Much more speedy and stable!

Well. You can always overclock.
CM9 will have laggy games because there are too many background processes and too much of Ram used.
Go to Developer Options and down, select limit for background processes to 1.
Your game might still lag, that's because of ram usage.
Try Ram Booster, and even try adrenaline engine on a 921 mhz oc.
If it still lags, there's nothing you can do about it.
Just go to GB. Less processes, less Ram = Better Gaming.
In short GB = BG.
Gingerbread = Better Gaming.
You should either go for a Stock ROM with lot of tweaks and OC or use CM 7 with OC
That would be the only way...

Well you have to accept the fact that ace is not a gaming phone. It's ok for an android experience to users but if you're into gaming on android, you gotta buy an armv7 device.

Hi everyone is there any stock based rom with good gaming performance and also for music as good as CM7 that can handles the music and video well?
Roms are not specifically made for gaming n music. And if you want good quality of music and smooth lag free games then get PowerAmp player for music and GameBooster for games! you ll have no problems! plss hit thnx if helped.
I recommend you to do such things rom "CM 7.2 final apocalypse", then install the Scripts for a better sound quality and better performance ...
Press "Thanks" if I helped!
XWKTS is fast enough u can flash bald eagle 2

Stock roms can't handle the bass due to other reason, not loud enough even using audio patches. cm7 uses NOTHING to improve the sound but x2 louder and better than stock roms! You can try compare them either with poweramp or stock music player on stock and cm7. I tried this more than 6 times and I can't find solutions, stock's sound is crackling but cm7 doesn't. however, cm7 can't play game well!
Try this : raging thunder 2 on stock vs raging thunder 2 on cm7.
fps on stock : 29-33 fps (no lag) used adrenaline engine
fps on cm7 : 14-16 fps (laggs like hell) used adrenaline engine too!
But I need use the stock for better compatibility(stock supports more useful apps)!
But I need use cm7 for more settings and customization(it's too useful)!
It makes me very confused. but still thanks for the help! *hit the button* :good:
Power amp for music

Hey happy users of the LG Optimus 4X HD, just want to share you this emulator which runs perfectly on our device.
I only tried two games but they are heavy and run pretty smoothly on our device.
I tried : - Dragonball Z Shin Budokai (absolutely fluid)
- PES 2013 (lags sometimes)
There are also a lot of settings so that you can customise your controls.
You can also save and load state easily.
The app is still in beta stage but is being update frequently, the global performance are improved and the list of compatibility gets longer and longer.
Just a little tip : In the settings, Buffered Rendering is ticked by default however if you want get the real and great graphics, untick Buffered Rendering.
Here is the link to the app and its subject : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2338818
And here is a second link with a compatibility list : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1970933
Hope you'll find the app interesting

i'll give it a try one of these days, iodak for me has issues with stupid baseband wakelock overload also, it's not the lag as much as it's slowmo. it seems to be running at 70-80% of the speed it should run

You can try different settings or activate the buffered rendering which will decrease your graphics to improve the performance
