[Q] Dalvik Turbo ? - Galaxy S III Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Has someone tried to download Dalvik Turbo on their S3 Mini (4.1.2 ANA2 Jelly Bean) and if so, is it really 5 times faster than standart Dalvik?
http://www.imgtec.com/mips/developers/dalvik-turbo-registration.asp
{I should use the ICS version for 4.1.2, right?}

[Q] What android version are you using now?

I made this thread to know what version of android is most popular right now in galaxy s advance.
I'm using GB (stock), but I'm planing upgrade to JB just because some great apps just work in android version 4+
What about you?

most of us already change to JB, i'm still in custom rom GB
I just installed JB stock LQ4. My experience:
1) With stock LQ4, stock kernel, rooted:
- To now, not bugs that some people say to have, like camera fc.
- Touchscreen feels like not as smother as GB
- There is something like lag in some areas, like in settings, when you press some one like sound, it take like 1s to open that setting. Very anoying
2) With stock LQ4, custom kernel (SIRI), rooted:
- Don't feel any diference with 1) , with pegasusq // sio at least.
When I flashed JB I did wipe data/factory reset, cache and I flashed it twice just like I read in some thread (wipe, flash using odin, boot then wipe again, flash using odin again)

If one of our devs made a 4.3 ROM it would be rooted. Guaranteed

Guys, guys !
Let's wait for cyanogenmod Hope it won't be too long. Currently if someone was porting AOSP 4.3 for our LG he would still need to use CM 4.2.2 device files to build I think, however I might be wrong

indeed, no custom ROM without root
but, compiling it with root is as easy as it could be instead of "user" (OEM default), you compile as "userdebug" (like "user", but with root) or "eng" (engineering --> full rights (also insecured boot, ...))

well, i'm sure he can, but he has some problems ATM, AND please, no demands in here
if a dev wants do port, he will do it anyways
wouldn't it be a better idea to do a clean stock port from the nexus 7 (gen 1) has its the same soc ? for me i would pick stock rom just to see how good/bad it might be. i do find the stock rom 20a and a custom kernal to be the best mix so far
anyone know when will be the stable 4.3 releases

How's the battery life on current CM builds? I tried some July builds a month ago but they were giving bad battery life due to wakelocks and deep sleep problems.

What I'm about to ask will be a pretty stupid question, but don't you have to have installed a JB. 4.2.2 to flash CM 10.1 or is it possible to do it with 4.2.1 as well?

Oh! I get it. You have to perform an upgrade on an already installed CM ROM (e.g 10) and then install the CM 10.1
No. You can update from every ROM. You have to perform a factory reset if you are comming from 4.1.2 Stock.

Samsung Galaxy S Advance its will get the 4.2.2 update
