Try version 2.6.1, that's the one I am on and it works fine.

You have issues with root.
How did you root? Have you disabled RIC? Did you give xposed root rights with supersu app?
Try checking root with a root checker
Iam rooted and I checking it. I cannot remember the method that I have followed for rooting. That is the RIC?

Well, that message from xposed says you are not rooted.
Untill you can remember how you rooted or you can confirm you are rooted then we can not go any further.
Please root again or show a screenshot of your super user app giving root access to other apps, and show that you can create a file in the system partition or data/app folder of your phone to confirm you are rooted.
RIC is in sys/kernel/security/sony_ric/enable and should be set to 0. Unless you have killed it with an init.d script or a kernel mod it will always revert to 1 on a reboot and hence you will lose root.

Could you provide me detailed instructions?

Place the file I posted on your sd card
reboot to recovery and choose install zip from sdcard.
But first, have you installed a recovery? If not look in the cross device development section for dual recovery and install that

Hey, I have an Xperia Z C6603 with an Unlocked Bootloader running 4.3 build number 10.4.B.0.569 from the carrier Three in the UK. It's rooted and the root works since TiBackup works fine and a custom recovery is installed I think. Anyway, I downloaded Xposed installer recently and clicked Install/Update and rebooted. The "Framework" menu screen says active and bundled are the same but on the home of the app it says "The latest version of Xposed is currently not active. Did you install the framework and reboot?". Any help? It may be something stupid that I haven't done properly but I'm sure someone can figure it out.
Did you see this in the OP of the Xposed thread?

If you're already using that version, something is wrong and you should ask rovo for help in the Xposed thread.

Hey Everybody
Good news.
Easily root Xperia ZR on .101
I used http://towelroot.com
Fast and easy
Of course USB debugging should be enable.
Happy rooting
I ve seen this on the Xperia Z forums and what works there works everywhere !
So I say it works on the KitKat firmware
Dont think it would work on. 230 firmwares, kernel are patched in those.
But it should work on earlier ones.
Maybe i will try later.

Sounds great. Hope that it will stay with the new .233 kitkat that may be come in a view days.
Can we make OTA with this rooted version to next update that fix a view problems with google play services? Will root stay?
After this root you only had to install a recovery and it is perfect right?
I dont know yet, I wat surprised that it worked in the. 230 rom.
I flashed a clean tft, installed this app. After reboot i installeren Su then the recovery. As far as I see everything works, a small revolution......

Is installing recovery really necessary?
Thankyou wafeeq for sharing
I have a few (noobish)questions about this method of rooting, because the instructions are still a little sketchy for now.
I was wondering what the point of installing recovery is, is it to get the SuperSU to work on the phone? (forgive my noobish question).
After installing recovery do I have to set anything in recovery mode?
Is it necessary to unlock the bootloader?
Does this mean I can use backupTA after getting root? That would be awesome.

You are welcome.
1- Superuser is not recovery, imagine superuser as the policeman controlling root access.
2- just install recovery mentioned earlier.
3- You will not unlock your bootloader so nothing to fear regarding drm keys or ta partition.

Ok thanks, the rooting actually works I tested without installing recovery and rootchecker says it is rooted
As for recovery which BAT file should I run? SuperSU.BAT or SuperUser.BAT? I don't know how to check which one I have
There is post pointing to this ZR dual recovery method http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2471981
It has 2 batchfiles to choose from and the text file attached tells us to ensure we install the right BAT file by checking which one we have. Which one is the best option?

Yes works great, anyway to check if I SuperSU installed? I rooted the 4.2.2 Jelly bean last week and I remember having SuperSU installed, I can't seem to find it among the apps after the official 4.4.2 update.
No, this root comes without superuser or SuperSU, download it from play store

Can confirm working flawlessly on .230, tested using "Terminal Emulator" and gives a positive root result of #. Installed SuperSU and behaves as expected when trying to run root applications except when I try to run it manually, it prompts for an SU binary update saying "SU binary needs to be updated, Continue?". The normal update fails, think this is because i'm running stock firmware. Will need to flash the SUupdate after installing a custom recovery.
Ps: The Mcaffee antivirus detected the rooting apk as a virus, false positive prolly.....

Why don't you read instructions in NUT recovery thread?
Busybox is in package, same as supersu.
If you install another busybox version you'll lose recovery.

I've read the thread again, and you're right that there's something about busybox. But it's not very clear from there that it's included. Just like with supersu. It's mentioned somewhere in the changelog. Until now, i've been using prerooted/deodexed roms etc.

Well...you have a point.
Just don't never-ever install another busybox on dualrecovery and you'll be fine.
You can update supersu if there's no latest version in package but apk is there, that's for sure...

Yes I got it! What I did is flash the zip through recovery then install the apk and then flash the zip in recovery again... The only problem is that every time you install a new module you have to flash the zip again

With the cm12 recovery, if you go to "Apply Update" then you can also pick zip files. But since it's pretty useless otherwise, the FOTA Kernel is the best option.
I've flashed xPosed on Lollipop and after restart cannot install anything & that which was previously installed is no longer available!?!?!?
I used LP Stock-Pre rooted, i try to install Xposed but got boot loop sothat i cannot install GravityBox.
I read some threads and people said that Xposed only works for Deodex Rom?
Is that right?
and someone please make the close all button in recent apps
