"Best" ROM threads are not allowed because there isn't really an answer. Please just try them and find the one you like.

Looks nice. I think it would be nice to have a clean ROM on the Note.
At this point I think any ROM developer would be welcomed. This forum is just starring so don't be shy bring you're work over and become famous like Blackstar in the development section =)

Thats because the note 2 will be out soon

I know im a but jealous also but I think as long as we have root,.good speed, and a bigger screen we made a good choice. I love the note I grabed my old phone yesterday and couldn't believe the size difference
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
Yeah we'll see about that. With the reaming Sammy just took from Apple, I doubt the note 2 drops anytime soon. Glad I got my note now before everything comes crashing down.

Since TMo pulled the Note from their site and Costco now has them as "closeout" prices I wonder how many units TMo sold. I am glad I got one when I could. 1 billion in fines, WOW!

So they were stable enough to use as daily drivers? Do you have a att note running on tmobile or a an native tmobile note?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
Native tmo note. I used them all last night for a few hours.
Only reason I don't use them as dailies is because wifi calling is a must for me with the crap signal I get from TMobile everywhere.
Aosp / aokp roms are the ones I worked with. I couldn't get an miui rom to work. I so want the customizaTion that miui offers. Maybe I'll check out the boot.imgs later and see if I can't get them to boot.

Trying to find best ROM and kernel combo, I've narrowed down to prime ROM and j18 and motley or faux kernels. I'm using interactive governor and trying to find best way to conserve the cores while not taking from performance. I'm noob but pretty well with knowledge in Android, so some suggestions would go a long way!!

faux kernels with smoothROM
Best threads usually aren't allowed but this thread may help you decide on the kernel.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1889571

Is it really that hard for people to read and put a tiny bit of effort into arriving at their own opinion?

We are not 'limiting free speech' however the 'best' kernel/ROM is something you have to decide for yourself, there really is no right and wrong answer just which ever you feel works best for you.
This is why we strongly discourage this kind of thread.
On 4.2.2. What's the best kernel for battery life?
Try em out

OK. Will do. I tried most of them. Was just getting a feel of what everyone is using. I hate pandas. Except for panda express

first of all, you posted this in the wrong section. & second of all, its all personal preference.
What fits you fits other better or worse, just try them all
First off development is for developers to post work
Questions go in Q&A
Second there is no absolute best most anything...it all depends on how you use your phone
What may be the best for someone else will not be for you
That is why these threads are closed
You have to put in the time and flash to see what is the best for you, your usage, your phone and your signal area.
