I updated to Kitkat and now when i have low battery the sound that warns me about low battery sounds distorted/crackling.
Like when a speaker is blown/broken. But its only every other time.
I tried putting the charger in and out. And its distorted every other time.
And also my phone is getting really hot under pressure from games.
About 50% hotter than firmware 4.3 :S
I have tried a clean wipe restore but it didnt help with anything.

i see that it eats up a decent amount of my battery, what is it? I let my battery charge overnight, and i listen to music for about a 1 hour and 30 minutes with the headset, and even if the phone is in standby all day without any calls or anything the battery is very low around 7. i have cynanogen 4.2.7.1, i never had the original charge so i used a sharp charger and always had good battery but recently its going down. anyone know the problem?

Media server is the phone's sound. It will kill battery faster if you use sound, and since your listening to music that is the problem. Try putting your phone on vibrate and turning off audible selections, that may help
Hi,
I've charged my phone this night to 100%. I've gone on the bus and played Defense of Lushington Springs (tower defense) for about 30 minutes.
It burned about 50% which is a lot but I've seen these kind of burns before on some games. Phone was warm but not hot.
Then i opened Trial X3 (bike game) and played a level or two. The screen started flickering and Note's screen turned black. I've taken
the battery out and restarted it. It showed 1%. I've turned it off and waited for a while, turned it on again and it was on 50% again.
Later it also started flickering and crashed, this time it went back to 9% but then to 1% again.
Now this kind of behaviour clearly isn't normal, I'd just like to know if this is likely to be caused by the ROM, TrialX (lushngton springs did burn trough the battery but it was at least stable) or hardware (battery?). Note that i've tried TrialX before, like 20 levels at a time and it worked.
Battery levels: http://bayimg.com/HAJMIAaeE
My setup:
Note (of course)
ROM: AngrY by RevengeDevTeam V3 - 4.1.2
KERNEL: Philz touch 3.95
If it's ROM related (or perhaps even if it's not) I'd appreciate some info on which ROM would burn less battery and still be functional.
Thanks in advance
*bump*
I've tried Alliance ROM now and it seems to work a bit better. Battery drain is still big and it seems to flicker when stressed.
Also it recharges a bit quickly, so is it a faulty battery? Also battery levels go up when it's idle.
Sorry for double posting but this is hindering my phone quite severely.
Any help apreciated.

Is any one else facing this issue? Sound either on games or songs goes up and down when on low battery particularly below 30% of battery, and even though the volume adjustment level is all the way up, the sound is very low, I'm on latest benzo rom and I do have viper4android on my phone
So its been 6-7 months since I encountered this problem for the first time.
Earlier I thought that maybe my battery's (orignal) fault, but last month I changed my battery (new, chinese) and I am still facing this problem.
Things I have already tried:
Deleting battery stats (through multiple apps)
Draining phone, recharging 3 times
Flashing rom again (from stock to cm11 to cm12 to current cm13)
Everytime I am about to reach to 26%, the phone dies. When it restarts (after charging a bit) it starts from 5%. It keeps charging at a normal pace until it reaches 73-75% when the charging speed increases drastically (74 to 100 in less than 5mins)
It maybe possible that the new battery I bought has the same defects as the previous one did but chances are slim.
Is there anyway to fix this? Is it possible to measure the real battery capacity? Also, can I change the system files in such a way that I get relative battery percentage (change system default 2300mAh to 1800mAh)?
Thanks!
I am also facing the same issue. I have lg d850 when reaches 30% phone restarts and finally shut down.
Sent from my LG-D850 using XDA-Developers mobile app
Your batteries are bad and don't withstand the required max current - thus the shutdowns. Chinese batteries are bad even when they're new. Original batteries can and do become bad with time - they degrade. Especially if they get hot a lot and/or are brought down to 0% often. Sometimes when battery goes bad, it's blown and you can see it having a "belly". Sometimes not.

I agree. I got a new battery and my phone would die at around 50%. Tried all sorts of things but no change.
It's definitely the battery. Luckily I could return mine and get a refund
Mine Dies anytime at 15% 20% or even below 25%, So always i connects when i know its below 25%
I have been experiencing this problem for 2-3 months. I charge my phone to 100% and when i reboot my phone (for some other purpose) battery level drops to 40 or 60% and this is extremely annoying. Usually when this happens i shut down my phone pull the battery out and put it back. After powering on the battery level is back to the correct value. But now it is not working. The battery level stays there and decreases. Well it only happens sometimes but still when i need my device it is low on battery.
I searched on the internet but most people using galaxy s2 were facing this and they recommend doing a battery calibration which i didnt find useful.
Any solution?
I have uploaded the battery usage in case it is needed.
