Did you flash the MLG AP, and BL?
You will also need to flash the CP for the modem.

You have to flash them I ODIN btw.
Sent from my SM-N9005 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

I followed the directions exactly made sure the odin window looked like the picture said it should look. I honestly think that i added the rom file in safe strap and was reading and working at the same time and i forgot to flash the actual rom i kept hitting back to get to download and didnt execute the flash but im not sure cause everthing else i know i did it corectly cause i checked it 3 times . Guess thats why it said go slow and take your time.

While that is possible, there are also other reasons for failure.
We're you trying to flash in stock slot or a different slot. Always flash in stock slot with KitKat ROMs

Basically.. If you forgot to flash the ROM... One of 2 things would happen, exactly what you are saying or it would boot the stock ROM.

Restore back to mj5 and try again, is what I would do.
Sent from my SM-N900A using Tapatalk

How do i restore it back ? I have the factory romm backup on my sd card . I dont know how and where to start.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app

There is a restore to MJ5 tutorial in the general section.
If you want to restore your backup, you will need to use Odin to flash the MJ5 AP and BL and then use SS to restore. After that you should be good to go and try again.

It is right on the first page of the general section. Even a google search puts it as the first entry in the search results.
You are not searching everywhere.

Worked for me to go to a different rom, also. Coming from Knoxraid 5.1 with SS. I took out my sd card, did a factory reset on stock rom slot. Flashed Alliance rom, it finished but failed due to E: unable to mount /systemorig'. Put my sd card back in, booted to download mode in SS, Flashed the MJ5 AP and BL in odin. Left auto reboot on and it passed and rebooted straight into my Alliance rom. Lost all my personal data but if your looking at bricked phone you don't care.

Adobe Flash running on JB?

Has anyone been successful in running Adobe Flash videos on their Captivate with JB rom?
And, if so, how did you?
Thank you in advance!
From what I read flash RIP after ICS. I've seen flash players on Google Play but haven't tried them.

Root I9305 on mac

I have a question!
Does anyone know how to root I9305 on Mac using heimdall?
Cheers!
Buy/build a windows or Linux PC. Don't support such a company.
However I will support using a Samsung device:
You can root it on the device using Mobile Odin
It costs a good $3
It's a bit hard to meaninglessly fork out $3 for no reason so here is a version to let you trial it - https://www.dropbox.com/s/4z1639ztv7vgu17/Mobile ODIN Pro 3.45.apk
Make sure to check 'Unknown sources' in the security settings before trying to install it
I DO NOT support piracy and do not have a single piece of pirated content on my device so if you like it BUY IT
Did not know that odin worked on the phone! Can you explain how to do it? Although I rather do it in heimdall

I wasn't aware that MobileOdin worked on non-rooted devices ?
To install Odin either get it off the Play Store or off the link provided above then just click it and follow the prompts
Then tick all (like in the photo) then just press 'Flash firmware'.

Second question, I read that you are suppose to back up your Imie number. Why and does a nandroid backup do the trick?
Your IMEI is your phone's radio's unique identifier and it is often used by your service provider
Unfortunately it cannot be backed up with a simple nandroid backup
Follow this guide to backup your IMEI (only has to be done the once)

I should probably say I've never tried to do a rom 1st. This might be dumb to say but I didn't think you could. But even if you could its a lot easier to do from a customer recover. Once you have the custom recover MAKE A BACKUP! Backups are your friend.

im running 4.4.2 leaked firmware right now the baseband N900AUCUCMLG for note 3 at&t. my question is how can i go back to stock 4.3 .. i tried downloading md5 tar file of 4.3 but when i tried to flash it via odin when i click start it just stopped (0 successful/1 failed) please help me

Questions go in QA.
Second look at the picture. It states that it contains bootloaders.
If you don't know what they are, you probably shouldn't flash it.
Basically, you screwed yourself. The bootloaders are locked. You cannot downgrade.

but you can def go back to MJ5 as the previous posts stated. so do that and you will off kitkat which seems to be what you going for anyway.

Time for everyone to relax a little. This site has rules about being respectful. How hard is it to offer your suggestions without having to call out other members? Life is too short for that.
Consider this your only warning in here, going to keep thread open for now. But if we drift ....infractions and closure.
Be nice or get out.

I just froze this. Hoping it keeps KK away...will report if it shows or something else happens.
Thank you.
Why are you keeping away from kk you can retain root
Sent from my LG-D950 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Wouldn't rooting in 4.2.2 stops the upgrading to 4.4? The phone will say something to do about rooting and you can't update the phone
Sent from my LG-D958 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Root stayed even after the update. But in the update process, it will download the Rom but not push it to the phone until you "make" it. So even if on WiFi, you have it download kk, it will not automatically start flashing it to the phone. But I was rooted, then updated and did not loose any root abilities
