Yes I am aware of that. I can hear my phone get the notifications see thenotification light go off and nothing in the watch.
I got it kind of working on the phone but I see the notification on the gear but when I click view it just opens it on my phone.
Tried using any of the other atn versions?
Do you have notification access turned on in device settings?

After watching the latest ad on the samsung gear, the last ending segment is what sold me to finally pull the trigger.
Here's the problem, how do I set this up? I get forgetful sometimes and leave my phone on the desk. So how do I set it up so that if I leave without my phone, my watch will lock the phone and then notify me with vibrate that I forgot it? Any help is appreciated.
-thx
Same question. One dude in one video pudh button on gear and phone starts alert

when the watch disconnects due to the distance between you and your phone it vibrates telling you you walked away from your phone and that the watch has lost connection. Which also means hay you left your phone on the table. lol
No. I do not speak about it (btw this only shows me lost connection-no alert). I was speaking about pushing gear power button and mobile starts ringing. Cool feature

Mine just tells me the bluetooth disconnected (along with a buzz) which is enough. No real notification.

That is probably "Find my phone" which is a built in app.
1. The Gear vibrates when it gets out of BT range. As far as I know there is no setting for this, it default.
2. Find my device and find gear are 2 default apps in gear manager and in gear.

Find my device works but it is manual.
Be kind of nice to walk away and get more than a vibration when you exceed Bluetooth range.
3. If u lock your phone with a pattern gear will unlock the pattern. But not the whole lockscreen, u still have to swype over the screen. It has to be in a range of about 10cm

It's in the gear manager on your phone, Settings, 1st option: Autolock.
Hi guys, yes indeed the vibration is a standard setting for proximity alert. However me too u would like to change that to a spoken notification both for out of prxomity alert "connectiopn lost" and for reconnecting.
Any ideas?

Sup guys,
I don't actually own the phone so I'm posting this for my girl. She is having an issue with when she turns the Vibrate option off in the Gmail settings, her phone still vibrates when an email is received. Anyone else having this same issue??

Just tested mine and nah, it behaves normally -- vibrates when enabled, doesn't when disabled. You sure she's in the Gmail settings and not Samsung's email settings? If so, not sure what could be causing that issue.
Hi, just wanted to check whether is it normal for the Bluetooth to appear connecting to Pebble on notification bar even when your Pebble is not turned on or not with you?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
Weird, but happened to me the last days...
I got a response from Pebble that we need to force close it.. Although it solved it, I felt that the app should be intelligent enough to close itself if no Pebble is connected after a predetermined time, say after 30 seconds.
The fastest way to do a force close is using the Notification bar, press and hold on the Pebble app, click on App info, click on Force close. Now you're done.

Is it just my nexus (AT&T version ) or does anybody else experience this... When using the phone and a new notification comes in, it appears at the top of the screen however it cannot be clicked to enter the notifications. Its more annoying when your using the phone and an incoming call comes and the incoming notification at the top says 'dismiss' or 'answer' yet I cannot click either of them! Have to swipe the notification away the enter the phone app to answer the darn call and by that time I've missed the call !!

No I'm on the AT&T variant and the Heads up Notification have always worked to open up the sending app. I constantly use it when texting my girlfriend and playing a game and when someone calls I've been able to both reject and accept the calls? Have you rooted or unlocked boot loader or anything? Or is it still stock?

How new is it? Was it preordered? When you tap the notification and hold, does a grayish mark on the box, extend from your finger to the edges?

Mine just started doing this a few days ago. I had completely wiped and flashed all the new 5.0.1 update. All was fine though until a few days ago and I haven't been able to click on the notifications to open them. When a call comes in, I can hit the power button and turn the screen off, then push it again to turn it back on, and I am able to answer. I have been trying to find a fix so I won't have to completely wipe again.

I too have the exact same problem. Normal one though not AT&T

Since beginning i have my phone I'm facing this issue... most of time I'm don't hear even feel the vibration of some notifications. For example, I have the phone in my hands and put it into my pocket, 2 minutes later I take my phone again and there are notifications from gmail, whatsapp, etc, notifications that didn't beep or vibrate.
What can I do? Maybe I mess up some settings or something.
Thanks guys.

Check your Notification Settings to make sure the app(s) in question are turned on. If so, look at Advanced Notification Settings...my wife's were set to "Show silently" once and that was the fix. Good luck.

All my settings are ok.... is really frustrating because I loose whatsapp, gmail, etc.
Same issue
I have the same issue after the Oreo update ,, with two different phones (a S8+ and a Note 8),notifications sound/vibration stopped working. Tried factory reset and the problem persists
The solution is restart the phone and the notification sound/vibration back again...
It looks that also Pixels users have the same issue https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-xl/help/notification-sounds-stop-randomly-pixel-t3720585
