Okay so let's cut to the chase... XD... I was extremely stupid and I inserted the microsim directly into the slot without the case thing you have to put in first?
And now it's stuck there. Any ideas how to get it out? I can see it, maybe I can try tweezers, I don't know. Any help appreciated. <.<... I just got the phone, so...

I'm new here. Ive been searching forums but i haven't been able to find what i'm looking for. My G1 got wet and I dried it out. After about a week of it not turning on, It finally came on today. I inserted my Sim card but the phone would not recognize it. I saw some corrosion on the Sim card contacts and cleaned it. But it still wont recognize it. Any possible solutions ? I really want to get into G1 modification software wise but i cant access the phone to try any of the guides. And if i cant get it to recognize the Sim card. Is there a way to remove the Sim card message on the phone ?

I messed up my xperia. I was trying a micro-sim card on to transfer some contacts and it got stuck. I kind of pulled the sim hard and i guess some of the pins that read the sim card bend. I know big mistake but i needed to transfer contacts that moment and i was away from a computer.
Now when i put a sim card it doesnt detected. It says no sim.
I called Sony Ericsson and they want to charge me 187 plus shipping both ways for any repair needed. I think thats too expensive and i was wondering if anybody here knows a reputable place where i could send it to get it fix.

Hello. I'm just using GoLauncher as 'theme', and sometimes just my simcard 'restarts'
Anyway, don't think it's the phone that dies. Can somebody help me? Say something that can work. I've read something about a little piece of paper but, it was to large, and couldn't insert my simcard.
And when I speak to people, it could happend, just dies. WHY? Are my phone corrupted? ;p
And, is there somebody, maybe swedish, don't give a rats-ass, but, need some help with root, and get another 'theme' etc, that would be helpfull.

Have you tried cleaning the SIM card connections? And custom cut the paper to be slightly smaller than sim card and insert it at the some time as you do the sim card.
I don't get your point about the Swedish...

Umm.. Maybe you could try re-flashing your ROM after initiating a full wipe
Hey,
I had to cut my SIM Card so it fits into a Micro SIM Slot and while I used another phone I put my SIM Adapter in my SGS so I won't lose it.
Well when I wanted to put the card back in the Adapter I had to (obviously) pull out the Adapter first: But it stucked in there. So I had to add some pressure and I finally got it.
But now my phone won't recognize and SIM Card anymore. I've no Idea what exactly could be/is damaged.
Does anyone had the same problem and solved it?
Oh and if there's a nice dude with a good camera: Could someone make a picture of the SIM Card Slot so I can see how it should look? :/
Disassemble Videos showed me that I can't really get under the "holder"?

U could try a normal sim to see if it's read correctly, u should get a sense of what's wrong.

Soo... I put the sim card holder wrong into the phone, and a pin came loose and fell out. How can I fix this? I dont think i have warranty for the phone anymore.
Do i need to replace something or is there a hill-billy fix for this?

You need to change your SIM reader because it's broken. If you have a lot experience with precise soldering you can change it by yourself. Here's ebay link:
