Clearly this is not an HTC phone but you know
Unique Features
This is another Chinese firmware called 'Color OS' and generally ships on Oppo devices.
This is my first time getting to use it too on my phone.
Download
2-23-14: Color OS RC1
Working:
- Everything should be good beside tether

I'll bite and give it a shot. Thanks. Anything I should know or just flash with twrp?

AtrixHD will appear here at some point today, I have too many projects to do individual threads check here every 4-5 hours.
Edit: Also Lewa and Baidu will come at some point too; I just wanted to do ColorOS next because it's more fun and more unique than the other two

Do you have a build with the most recent ColorOS 4.3. I'm curious because I'll be looking to port out the framework and whatnot for the 50mpx camera app on the Find 7.

Is there a certain recovery you have to use cause it's failing for me. I'll try to write what the fail part is.

I hope to not touch 4.3 at all after this is done and move onto 4.4 firmwares right away; 4.1-4,3 is mostly the same, but 4.4 is very significant and is much better for a lot of reasons.
I'm pretty much at the point now where if I'm source-building 4.3 for this device I'm doing it for every device I maintain with these custom firmware ports; I can't justify 4.3 at all since MIUI is almost 4.4 for the 'general population'
Edit: On some devices it actually is, I won't do it until it's pushed to MiCode though

If you use Twrp 2.6.0 it works. If you are using 2.6.3.0 it errors out and names all the devices.

I'm actually on 2632 and it does that. Okay so you think that's why I can't flash bean stalk as well. I get a error regarding the binary. Okay so I'll flash back a recovery and try it

Im not sure about Beanstalk cause that's based on 4.4 so "should" work. This is based on 4.2 so it needs the older Twrp

You can edit the updscript to remove the device lines too but i didnt bother and kept it stock

can I instal it on OTA 9.30.1 locked bootloader

Hi it seems that the 926 topic is a bit more active , yea so I wanted to ask you guys, if it's possible to root the device, i tried with tons of methods of JB or SuperSU flashing and that stuff, the su binary gets deleted i think each time by the Color's OS kernel maybe
I'm using the CWM recovery, btw I tried also with the TWRP recovery
Edit 1: it works now, cause i found this, thanks

Hi there . I have some questions.1) is this rom prerooted?
2) is safestrap needed to install this ? or can you just install from external sd card.?
3)does anything NOT work?
4) would you consider it a daily driver? or alpha or beta?

The first 2 aren't even questions about his ROM... and daily driver status is up to the user not the developer. Do you know what alpha and beta tests mean exactly?

I have been trying to restore root via adb but have not been successful as of yet. without root i cant install ss3 I guess im used to the atrix 4g with the unlocked bootloader twrp cwm cm10 and all that good stuff.. I will keep looking for a way to restore root .hopefully i will find it . thanks again.

Well first off it is debloated, took away carrier symbol in the top left corner, runs 4.2 launcher, runs 4.1.2 gapps, zip aligns on boot, new boot animation, and more changes will come this is the BETA release. Still (in my opinion) good enough for a daily driver, but I WANT to make some more changes. Please people do not ask me how good my rom is, I made the thing, I'm probably a little bias.
thanks, but I guess I can't install it, 'cause of Safestrap needs a device with root access and I lost that access in the last update to JB

Nice job. Debloated version was working smoothly until my M decided to crap out today and now won't boot (it's not rom related). I was in a middle of a call and it just died, Thought it might of been a dead battery but even after charging for 7 hours it won't boot. Anyways I just wanted to say good job.:good:

I would like to try this - however, my lone drawback is that I would love to have the power menu mod (for the ability to reboot and reboot into recovery). Can it be unlocked via developer options (or is that a custom 4.2.2 feature)?
thanks!

Got this installed last night! I couldn't stand my car dock locking my phone up, so I went back to (almost) stock with this. I like so far! I had a strange issue with a call today (dialed out, but couldn't hear anything, rebooted and worked fine), otherwise everything is working 100%.

Love that someone is still working off the stock kernels. I hate the bugs on the 4.2.2-4.3 build right now. No fault of the devs of course, darn Moto making this thing hard to develop kernel for....
Links arent active or something.... its not letting me download, its not even doing anything when I put my mouse over the link.

Fantastic work.

Android 4.4 Source being released

Here we go again, gentlemen start your engines...
Android 4.4 Source
Source is now being pushed to the AOSP trees. Of course, when it is all there we will begin the process of figuring out what changed, needs work, and/or is no longer feasible or needed.
We are not in a rush to get 4.4 builds out . We are going to continue the process of working on CM 10.2 M1 - getting that out the door and onto your devices. Further, we will 'finish' the 10.2 code base, similar to what we did with 10.1.
As a friendly reminder, please don't flood us with requests for 4.4 - we all want new and shiny things, but we will not do so at the expense of abandoning the hard work our contributors have put into 10.2.
Final note, a lot of folks are reading into the "512mb" item on the release notes. No, this does not mean a sudden resurrection of older hardware, there are dependencies beyond the RAM (and CM has enforced that minimum since ICS).

The website says it is a feature of 4.4.. I am not sure if it would require dedicated hardware or leverage off the accelerometer. An accelerometer measures vertical acceleration, a pedometer simply counts these measurements (from my understanding)

I've compiled ROMs for my old 2011 samsung budget phone, not that hard to compile, and there's plenty of guides to go by, once you get it set up and a full build (first build takes an hour or two) you gotta debug and test which for me is hard as heck lol, hopefully well see ROMs by next week

i feel like 4.4 will have some initial issues....

internal memory such as picture and document will be lost?
if you dont want to loose everything you need to delete the data partition from the occam-krt16s.zip in the tar.gz file!

will check that
thanks for the info
Is it possible to build a little bit deeper N5 to N4 ROM? I mean the N5 theme is a little bit different than in N4, also ringtones are different. Can you check it?
ringtones should be possible, if you find something that is not like n5 you can tell me, i will fix it afterwards

Is it hard to integrate .sh file with ROM? I am still experiencing issues with WiFi connection at home. I have TP-Link TL-WDR4300 and since I got my Nexus 4, it always had some issues with connecting to WiFi. Some ROMs have the newer driver integrated but Google still uses old one. Here is the link to newer binary, but it is hard to integrate it. Even on rooted phone. :/

I just see problems. Some roms like Paranoid dont have such issues.
Nice work man!
As you reffer to the rom like a alternative factory image. Just some noob question:
I need to root to flash that rom? Or I can install it throw adb just like a normal google release?
Can relock my bootloader after the process is done?
Do you think I will get OTA updates from google after flashing that rom?
thanks man.

Very nice ROM. I encourage everyone to try it out. I can verify that SMS/MMS, GPS, WiFi, Camera/Camcorder, LTE + Phone/Data all works. Thanks to @sickkside13 for building this, I love playing with new things

I could be wrong here but I believe it's AOKP built with the razrqcom-dev device tree (same as CM11 uses I believe).

AOKP is built with 100% unicorn.

Love AOKP- have it on my N7.
I've been running this now for 2 days and runs quite nicely with good battery life. Much better then the 4.3 iteration from last year.
I can't find anything wrong except, as noted above the WiFi tether. I really hope development continues and the unified 8960s can get official status.

Yes, the same as all cm/aosp rom based.
When CM fix that bug, all others roms will too.

So, will this actually work on a XT926 or why is this posted here? I just checked the AOKP website and it does not show the XT925 or 926 as supported devices.

Tried to install this, but the installation failed and it aborted. "Error in sdcard/0/aokp_moto_msm8960_kitkat_unofficial_2014-04-14.zip" Status 7
I am restoring my ROM Manager backup of the "old" system right now and started a new download of the zip file. I did a factory reset/wipe + formatted the system following the instructions. Any ideas?

Downloaded this again, but the same thing happens. I see the AOKP logo and then it aborts with the error message shown above. I assume something is wrong with this build file.
I am on a rooted XT926 in case that matters.
What ill look into this and i am pretty sure is because of CM repos AOKP use as this past two weeks alot of changes CM did has given several devs compiling errors ...

I got it. Spent some time looking for the error message "Status 7" and it turns out to be a CWM issue. However, that was not obvious. Inside the ROM manager app it showed that I was on the latest version, but then when I went into recovery I noticed it showed 6.0.2.8 - which is outdated and does not know about the unified 8960 model number. Then I just had to figure out how to update CWM correctly. Once I had that figured out I tried again and the install worked.
Currently Google is reinstalling everything through the account backup feature. Google search blew up a few times and so did the play store, but I assume this will address itself once all apps are updated correctly.
I use philz recovery and its not the latest update. Everyone in the atrix HD forum has been able to flash with no issue. Now the RAZR HD has more up to date recoveries and to be honest @nsusa post what you did to flash this ROM .. Also I'll be doing a new build tonight so before I upload it I'll use test it in the latest unified Phil recovery first

Is the new build up? Did not see it. Overall my phone is doing good with the existing build. Have some situations where it locks up and nothing works (unresponsive) and then it takes about a minutes before things come back to live. Also, the camera makes very dark pictures. I downloaded the new Google camera app as well and same thing, so my guess it is from the ROM. In the old build (pacman) I did not have that problem. Small issues, hopefully they can be addressed.
