I'm having issues with Google Search "What's this song?" command on my XT1052 (stock unrooted).
It identifies the songs, but doesn't add them to the sound search history playlist (you can check it from sound search widget or here).
Everything works fine if I start sound search from the widget, song identified and added to history. And that doesn't happen on all my other devices, Google Now saves songs to history everytime.
Is it just me or is it a common problem? Any advice?
Thanks!
No one?
Could somebody try and let me know?
Please!
Bump! I'm also having this problem. Have you tried a factory reset or removing/adding your Google account to the device?

I'm trying to use voice actions since Google added spanish support. It works fine in the sense that it recognizes commands easy enough. But when I tell it to "Call whatever" sometimes it will look up a contact in my contacts but some times, to my infinite annoyance, it will show some random person I'm assuming it found on the internet or google or god knows what.
Any idea how this is happening??
Thanks
Hi,
I have Google Voice search installed at my Gear - and it works great!
But I have on problem:
When I say " Call John Smith" - then the message occurs : "contact not found" (with the symbol "contact" - when I press this, i can navigate to my contact list.
I synchronize the gear with my gmail account and there are all my contacts.
I will see my contacts on the gear also.
Anyone an idea ?
thx

I'm having exactly the same problem. But only with voice search. If I go through S-Voice it's ok.
I've stuck auto voice on the gear, so I'm about to ask a lot of questions about that - maybe that might work better?
I think it has to do with the gear not actually being a phone. Well that and the Google services not being optimized for the gear. I know as of now on null rom in the play store it says there is an update to play service aka Google now but it's not compatible.
It's still pretty early so I say give it a little time and let the awesome devs work their magic.

Sometime yesterday my ok google detection stopped working. I can side swipe to the left to get the google search page and manually start a search by pressing the mic key. I have gone through all my settings cleared cache, removed all data on the google app, text to speach (google) google play services, google play, with no success. When i reset the google assistant app and say ok google the app starts its setup proceedure asking questions for voice match etc after all done it asks for my pin to allow changes then closes. After this i can say ok google forever with no responce, again still being able to manually tap the mic to start a manual search that is spoken by me. access with voice match is greyed out as well as unlock with voice match. are others having this problem? Anyone have a solution? Thanks
Got the same problem. I have realised that when i've been driving a car today and tried to make a call. OK Google is not working anymore ;-(
Tried a few things, found that when I clear the cache, delete data on the Google app then uninstalled updates (reverting to previous version of the Google app) resolved the issue. I also disabled auto update for the Google app from the play store to stop it from re occurring. Huawei and Google can figure out the fix but this works for now
Used to be able to search contacts through the search bar. It also provided smart results by showing people that I actually call if I had multiple contacts with same first name. Looks like google turned off the feature with android 11 update. I was able to keep the functionality previously by uninstalling the updates on the "google" app. But it doesn't look like it works anymore. It's so annoying not be able to do it.
Does anyone know how to get the feature back?
Hello,
I use Android Auto for a couple of weeks now.
If someone sends me a link to an adress through Whatsapp or Signal, I get the notification in my car which is read out.
Unfortunately, Android Auto does not recognize the link to the place and does not ask me to get navigated to that point.
Is this behaviour normal?
I expected that the Assistant recognizes Google Maps links in messages and asks if I want to be guided to that adress. Unfortunately, this does not happen. Can someone explain why?
Does someone else face the same topic?
Thank you.
EDIT:
I did it with Tasker. Link:
How to click a link in a notification?
Hello, I use Tasker mainly for tasks concerning my bluetooth devices (e.g. headphones and car to start the music player). Recently, I started using Android Auto in my car. In a lot of situations, I drive and my partner searches for an address...
