Can't post a link, but there is a specific Kindle HD forum that should be able to help you. You will brick your device if you use the info found on this forum.

thanks i found out a way to flashboot my kindle fire hd 7 for different commands reboot, flash img etc. But i can't seem to find out a way to fix it! i was wondering if there is even any way to do it!

Sorry, but I only know enough to be dangerous. What I do know for certain, is that if you type "Amazon 7" Kindle Fire HD" in the "Type To Find Your Device" box above, you will be directed to the correct forum and more likely to find folks that will be able to help you. This is the first gen Kindle forum, and using any of the solutions found on this forum will probably brick your device.

[Q] Can I root my Kindle Fire running on 10.2.1?

Hey guys got my Kindle Fire (Second Edition) today and I'm desperately trying to root it. I followed several instructions on the forums, Youtube, etc. but it wont work. I'm using a mac and tried to use this guide on the forums but it also wont work.
So now I'm asking myself if its even possible to root the KF with software version 10.2.1 on it? Did anyone manage to do so, preferably using a mac?
[EDIT]
Sorry accidently posted in the wrong forum please delete or move to Kindle Fire 2

Yes you can

Yes you can
But remember the new fire, which you most likely have, is more similar - os wise - to the kindle HD than to the original kindle fire which the guide you refer to was written for ... look up the instructions for the HD fires and you'll likely have more success.

Un-Root Back to Stock

I am having a ridiculous amount of trouble with my kindle. I had rooted it and was swapping through roms quite frequently trying to find something I liked. Somewhere along the way something got messed up. I just want to wipe it completely and start fresh. No root. I have looked for several hours on the web and cant seem to find anything. I need a barney style breakdown step by step with all download links and everything. I get the basics but the terminology gets confusing. Thanks in advance.

Read this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1951254
You need to download the SDK package as well. Here is a video tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oaNM-lt_aHw
You will need a factory fastboot cord as well. You can get one off eBay or an adapter here http://shop.teamblackhat.info/Factory-Adapters-motadapt.htm

Thank you. I haven't got a chance to try it yet but I will eventually. I'm now thinking of going back with a root and rom. Do you have any known good ones?

So... I cant get it to go into fastboot. Using Kindle Fire Utility version 0.9.6 it shows online 4000. When i try to get it to go to fastboot it sits at Activating Fastboot <4002> and does nothing else. Any ideas?

Why are you using Kindle Fire utility? Do you wish to turn your Kindle into a paperweight? KFU is for first generation only. You need a fastboot cord. Hold the powerbutton down on the KIndle for 20 seconds until the Kindle powers off? Plug the fastboot cord into a USB port and then into the Kindle. The Kindle should power on and show fastboot on the screen. Is this what it does?
Edit: Or are you using a first generation Kindle and posting in a Kindle Fire HD 7 thread?

[Q] Bricked my Kindle Fire HD 2013 KFSOWI

Hi Folks!
I think i made a big mistake.
I used Kindle Fire First Aide on my device and now I'm stuck in Fastboot mode.
From what i read now, i used the wrong Version (Option "Completely Restore the KFHD 7 7.2.3") wich is for older Kindles.
I looked for the Stock Images for this Model, but couldn't find them....
Is there a way to fix it or do i have to contact Amazon?
Can Amazaon reconstruct my mistake and avoid the warranty?
Thank's l lot for guiding a prat....

That method should work. It flashes a small system image with some stuff removed i think, then it pushes a update onto the device that then updates it to a full os. Should work like it did on the other devices it was tested on, i'm assuming that utility should also flash the correct bootimg and recovery as well. Without the right bootimg it wouldn't probably bootup enough for the procedure to finish.

i tried kyle-berry's files but it didnt boot up after that.. had to use an old boot.img
I haven't downloaded his tool to checkout his script and see how it runs. Does it flash the old boot image we were using or does it not flash the boot partition at all?

Now I've done it - Bricked

Well, I couldn't leave well enough alone when I had a great running KF HD 7" using CM 11. Tried to install f2fs and royally screwed it up. What I now have is a Kindle that just continually flashes the orange Kindle Fire boot up screen with no access to bootloader or recovery. I think I know the answer to the question already but is there any hope for this device?
Thanks for any help.

Kindle Fire HD 7 4.5.1 RED SCREEN OF DEATH

I need some assistance with unbricking my kindle fire HD I had rooted it and tried to install a custom rom using FIRE FIRE and it bricked my device as it was the incorrect bootloader. I have a factory cable, but I do not know the commands to push the kindle fire stock OS to the device or how to unbrick it with root.
It can either boot to fastbootmode or has a Red Screen.
I have tired KFFIRSTAIDE, but can not get it to operational status.
Product ID says:
product: Tate-PVT-08
Any help is appreciated.

using your mobile browser or a pc go to the link ill provide below, it will take you to the kindle fire hd 7 section of XDA and find the search box or icon at the top of the xda page (not your browsers search box but the XDA searchbox) type
"how to unbrick kindle fire HD 7"
it will take you to several threads, you will have to pick your way through the threads to find the method for your particular KFHD7, there are different models and stock OS' s find your device and OS and follow the directions you find, you may have to piece together things from different threads to find everything you need but if you are diligent and do your reseach you will find all your info, instructions, links for needed files and answers and fixes for any issues you may encounter just read everything and piece it all together piece by piece according to what you find from start to finish and walk through the process step by step without actually doing it until you have what you need and understand what you are doing so you don't skip a step or forget anything when you actually do it, read pay attention and be careful, good luck, here is the link, start your search there:
