i will appreciate any help.

I have a galaxy note with italian baseband. My question is can I flash it with another region's firmware (asian firmware)?
Yes you can!
Yes.You can always flash any region firmwares on your phone. But the firmware should belong to your phone model.i.e N-7000 firmwares on N-7000,and I-917 firmwares on I-917.Which means firmwares are devices specific and not region specific
If you cant understand any of the above, the exact answer for your question is yes you can
would this affect my warranty? & flash count? and another question could i directly flash with an older firmware, im currently on 2.3.6 i was wondering if i could flash 2.3.5?

1.It wont affect warrant as long as you are in stock firmware. But if you have a network locked device I'm not sure because I have no network locked device in my region. If you have international unlocked note, you are 100% covered by warranty as long as its stock
2.Stock roms dont increase counter.Only custom roms do
3.You can flash any GB rom when you are in GB(to make it simple IMO)
Does this also apply to other devices?
That it is possible to use different firmwares.
(in this particular case LG optimus black p970)
Yup

Yes you can. You can us Odin for PC to do it. Do some searching on the n7000 forums and you will find all the necessary files and flashing tools.
I recommend checking out this excellent thread by Dr. Ketan http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
It explains everything in detail so you should be good to go if you read through it properly.
Hope this helped and good luck!

Hi, the DBT version (for Germany) is 100% unbranded and works fine. Other is NEE (Finland). Those two are tested myself and no branding or bloatware present. No issues with OTA or Kies (well, if you're in Europe).

Yes, I have used this ROM on all my S3's and no issues at all. (Voda,Virgin,Orange).
Use Odin and do hard reset before and after flashing!
If you want a ROM which is pretty much close to stock, you could have a look at "The Galaxy Project": http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2125984
It's based on the official Samsung ROMs (not AOSP/CM etc), it looks like the stock ROM, and the only difference is some minor tweaking, completely unbranded, and bloat removal. It's completely international (Europe, Oceania etc) and uses the most current Firmware (4.1.2 XXBMR8).
By the way, here's another location for untouched Firmwares:
http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I9305
No login needed which is helpful.
Today I downloaded the latest German stock ROM (700 MB) just to get this little thing (8 MB). So I thought, maybe save somebody the trouble and share it. The V30A Germany Baseband (see attachment). Flash it with AIO-Toolkit (option 7).
It is recommended to use a baseband which was made for your country/phone. So Germans (with ICS/JB) should probably use this one.
Check with your IMEI which baseband (ROM) you would normally receive:
http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=IMEI (Replace IMEI at the end of the URL with your IMEI - it's under your battery.)

The firmware is not available from your link. But I downloaded your attachment and compared it to my V30A Germany and Vodafone V30B Spain.
V30A Germany is completely different to yours. Vodafone V30B Spain has exactly the same size of 8,351,116 bytes like yours, but has a different MD5 for me.

I was also always using basebands from Korea or such. There were always problems for me, but I can't allocate them. But I think if you flash the baseband that the manufacturer would flash on your phone, you're on the safe side.

Strange!?! ... Now I just check LINK's and everything is fine!
As for the firmware, it is possible that the Baseband's are identical in size, but the firmware is different in all ... I think the v30B Spain is higher than v30B Germany ... now I'm at work and can not see it .
I know I've posted something like that, I'll see if I find the post and inform.
How to flash baseband one another Country, I do not say that you're right there, on the contrary, what is certain is that I never had problems.

Again????!...OMG...WTF!!...
ENABLE 2nd core!!!!!...On KKernel setup.
LG O2x[P990]@TapaTalk4HD v4.1.3
Thanks for repeating this for me. My Google search didn't find me this info!
Let me reiterate this so it's easier for people to search for this info.
So if you get a BSOD (Black Screen of Death) or crash when plugging in your phone (LG Optimus 2x P990) to your PC computer USB port, and you have the Kowalski Kernel (KK) installed, the solution is to turn on or enable 2nd core auto hot plug in the Kowalski Manager.

My understanding is that if you search for your specific model (I1890 or I1890N or I1890L for instance) you will get a long list of firmwares you could use. Probably several of these will be for your country. Any one of these would be suitable for you to use.
I'm no expert though so perhaps someone could confirm this?
