Yes I tried it. When selecting to reboot to recovery or telling abd to reboot recovery, it goes to the bootloader and get stucks. Phone will boot into the stock rom just fine. And you can unlock the bootloader from HTC's site just fine. Just the recovery as built in the general M8 section does not work at all.
maybe this will help me enjoy the phone a bit once I get it in mail tomorrow.. hopefully
Moved thread to general... This is not development thus did not belong in there.

Coming from Nexus, I'm quite annoyed about how Sony phones work. I'm sick of booting to fastboot and flash a hell loads of stuff everytime I want to do something.
Has anyone made a flash zip that contains TWRP and stock kernel together that I missed? Or is there any other solution?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply, but I'm kind of confused. There is only one download link in the thread, without mentioning any recovery. Would flashing this overwrite the recovery the way same the stock kernel zip file does? Or is there already a recovery inside?
In any case, DoomKernel is kind of still in beta and not yet seems to be stable, so I would avoid it if I could. But I would give it a try.

You are joing right?
Its rock solid stable and has been working on may devices for a long time. I have been running it since its release with no problems.
Both twrp and cmw recovery are in the kernel so you get to choose which recovery you want to boot into. Press volume up on the purple LED and vibration to go into one recovery and volume down to get into the other recovery.
All you need to do is make sure your bootloader is unlocked and flash the zip in whichever recovery you currently have.

Thanks. Never knew that multiple recoveries can be installed simultaneously.
I've installed the CM 10.1 to my vivid, I flashed the boot.img using fastboot usb, and installed the rom via TWRP 2.4.4.0. before any install i used the all the wipe functions im suppose too.
When it finally boots it works for like maybe a 1 sec and then reboots. What did I do wrong?

Use wcx recovery in version 2.2 of hasoons toolkit. Wipe system, dalvik, cache, data, and do a factory reset all in wcx recovery then flash the rom then flash the correct gaps for cm10.1 or android 4.2.2 then go into the bootloader (advanced option) then flash the boot.img (fastboot flash boot boot.img)

Your device mobo is probably going bad and needs more power than usual to run it. Sorry. If i can get linux to boot I'll send a kernel your way to flash and see if it fixes the problem
Try overvolting the CPU, with an init.d script, that should stop it freezing up, init.d because you won't have a chance of doing it with an app
Sent from my One using xda app-developers app
In the bootloader boot a recovery if you are s-on
"fastboot boot recovery recovery.img"
Sultans thread (android12345*) his kernel thread has details on how to do it
If you are s-off just flash this. This has higher voltages. Maybe itll help ya

Please send a kernal. Also, how would I flash it without S-off. Could this also cause digitizer issues? i've been seeing like a 10% line in my phones that spams touch now.
Please do I need to download any kernel to flash my HTC with cyanogenmod 10?

It appears the ROM is not flashing properly... What version of TWRP
Sent from my Vivid 4G using Tapatalk
Try flashing with WCX because TWRP sometimes screws up when flashing to partitions.

So, as you can see, the title is bit weird and that is what happened, I've unlocked the bootloader because I wanted to install 4.4 custom rom. I did everything, rooted the phone, installed recovery and went into it, but when I chose the rom (first it was Cyanogenmod 11, then I tried Carbon) I got the message that my phone is not 'hayabusa' but it is 'mint'. I don't know what to do, it is clearly TX, it was TX (hayabusa).

Make sure the ROM you're trying to install is in fact for your phone. This will let you flash it:

That should do it, thanks. I have one more question, if you don't mind. I can't post in Carbon's thread as I don't have 10 posts yet, so I'd be grateful if you could help me with this problem too. When I'm installing Carbon, I have to flash kernel and then install the rom from recovery, but if I flash kernel I can't go into recovery anymore.

If the ROM comes with a kernel, there is no need to flash one separately. Carbon, as do most ROMs, comes with a kernel; you'd just have to open the zip file and you'd know.
If you can't get into recovery, then you're most likely flashing the wrong kernel, or a kernel without a recovery. If you already have a recovery, just flash the ROM through the recovery. Which kernel are you flashing?

Sorry for the late response.
I have sorted it out. Instructions say that I have to extract a kernel and flash it separately. Anyway, everything's working. Thanks.

Thanks for understanding and for helping to keep XDA neat and tidy!
The ROM doesn't have recovery! I had the same prob in build 35. I don't know if it's no recovery or the kernel has a bug, it gets stuck with a yellow LED light when i press volume up, or when i directly boot into recovery.

Sadly i don't know why it isn't booting with my device, this has happened in build 35,36, and now 37. It isn't the biggest problem, i'll just push a recovery using NUT's tool. But the thing is it worked fine for me in build 32. Once again, thanks for your ROM, it's an awesome one
P.S I did flash the kernel with fastboot, but still that didn't work out. Strange.
