I think you can just flash the GE boot loader.

I have a dev edition converted to google edtion using full RUU

That's the ENG bootloader as version is 1.39.2000. Just Google for it, it's around somewhere.

There is no HTC File Manager on 4.2.2, it appears only on Maximus10 rom with android 4.3

In that case download one from the market "x-plore" is quite good.

I guess it's ro.product.model in /system/build.prop.

I uploaded my build.prop

Can I flash the M8 firmware on the M7?

I would like to flash Android Revolution HD 60.0 and it is based on the M8's 1.54.401.5 firmware, is it safe to grab the 1.54.401.5 firmware and flash it on my M7 so it matches with the ROM?

That's an HTC M8 software that has been ported to the One... You can't flash it... You need to wait for the HTC M7 base

flashing firmware from a different device would be a very bad thing to do.

But please experiment for us!
