Is there a way to customize which apps appear in the quick window when the case is closed? I want to change the music app to use power amp instead of the default music player. Also is there a way to check texts via the quick window instead of owning the cover?

This happened to me too. Just clear data in settings > applications > manage applications.

Yeah it's weird but after you install the new Google Music you have to clear data then you can go into the app's setting and connect your Google account.
They still didn't add the abc thing when you scroll with the scroller thing. That makes it so much easier to find a song, especially when driving. I really wish they'd add that/fix it. Any other app that has lists has the abc thing. I still really like the new app though. Much faster and smoother.

It looks a hell of a lot better.. but I don't think I would use it. Player pro is perfect to me.

Album Art?
It doesn't appear to download album art. Anyone else having issues with the Album Art or is there a special way to install/download it? Thanks.
This app does not download art. It will display art already associated with the mp3. Try using the app iTag, it let's you edit any mp3 tag and add artwork to it as well. Hopes this helps.
I think developers should create like mods or apps to interact with the phone more while using the s-view cover. Like screen flashing with a sms icon when receiving a message. I am down to put money for any developer to start working on this.

Not what he was asking. To OP, I haven't. I don't think you can as it's a feature present on stock Android as well.
Thanks for the input guys. I'll keep my eyes peeled in case someone comes up with a mod for it.
Hey i'm getting the LG G2 the international, and thinking of getting one of thoes smart view covers and have been looking at this one, have any of you got one or know some reviews of them ?
This is the one i'm looking at

Personally I wouldn't recommend one, there's really no way to check notifications and the music widget only works with the lg music player
Only good thing about the case is when you open or close it unlocks/locks the display

This is exactly why i would recommend it. I love that it locks/unlocks the phone without the double tap or touching the buttons on back. I find i never have to touch the buttons on back now (Not that it was any trouble - just never need to). But - to each his own.
I love it. The window is perfect for the camera as well when its flapped to the back.
Only thing I don't like about the the case is that it doesn't show battery and constant notifications for all apps like the Samsung version does.
Wouldn't be a problem if the notification light worked with every app. Maybe in a future update?

The app is horrible especially with the stock keyboard. There is really no reason for this much screen to be taken up by the keyboard and text box. here is a screenshot of the stock app with Swype keyboard. you can see one message at most. http://i.imgur.com/ZhrM8rx.png
I've began just using the hangouts for mms with people. I'm not sure if this will work for everyone.
When I tried a couple other messaging apps that looked like stock 4.4 I started sending and receiving double messages. I really want to use another app because the stock version is horrible, but I'm resigned to using it right now until I can figure out how to fix this issue. It's probably my fault somehow, but it shouldn't be this difficult to figure out how to not send double messages constantly.
anyhow, the phone is awesome so far other than the messaging app.
does anyone know how to change the text size/messaging box in the stock messaging app? the settings were no help.
You could try hangout. That is what I am using now.

I just edited the OP to say just that lol. This is my solution for now.

I actually had an issue with that when I first got it as well. I kinda just ignored it, until I got EvolveSMS. It has a small text window so the keyboard only takes up half the screen instead of 75% of it. Give it a try.
I like it. Just press back to read the entire convo
Sent from my LG-D959 using Tapatalk
If you pinch or spread 2 fingers in the text box where you type it will enlarge or shrink the font size of the entire convo

hangouts FTW..
I just started using hangouts for my sms/mms also.. wondering though if there is a way to have the contacts app launch it for messages when I go into my contacts app? Or do I just have to start up hangouts all the time or maybe another contacts app that allows you to set what to launch into for messaging?
I'm using the EvolveSMS app.... It's a paid app tho...

Thanks for this. One of my gripes has been resolved.
I do love how it pops calls and texts on the screen in a bubble when you are in an app
