Many sites are reporting about Samsung android phone running touchwiz vulnerable to a bug which could remote wipe the device. The articles list galaxy s2, s3, but not note. Can any expert confirm whether our note is vulnerable or not. As Samsung says they have already patched s3 and a patch for s2 is in works.

Not mine, not according to: http://dylanreeve.posterous.com/remote-ussd-attack
There's a safe test linked from there and it failed to work on my Note. Stock, 4.04

The 4.0.4 update has already patched the exploit.. So of you are on 4.0.4 no worries.
Just wondering if in the not so distant future we will be geting a port from the N7100 to our loved GT-N7000? Is this wishfull thinking or is it in the works? Thank's for any hope rel hope at least.
There will be but one has to wait for months. Sammy dont want its new flagship phones sales to be ruined. I am still satisfies with my ics experience. Will keep my phone for quite a long time

i believe the latest android update to 4.1.2 will have all the features Note 2 has.. so may be there wont be the necessity for a port

Is there an ETA for that update?
as samsung has decided to skip the 4.1.1 and update directly to 4.1.2 for NOTE, very soon
the recently leaked JellyBean Rom XXLS7 will bring the note 2 features to the original note

I'm stuck in 4.3 [DBT-Germany] firmware with a broken USB. So, can not use Odin from PC to root my device. And on my device, my WiFi is not working, its not turning on!! I tried 'Framaroot' to root my phone, so that I can flash 4.1.2 by mobile Odin, but it is showing 'error#6' .
Please help . Is there any way to flash ROM or root my phone without using PC...

Wel.. This is actualy the first time I read about someone having a broken USB which really sucks when you want to root your device. With my basic knowledge, I don't see a solution atm.
If you have one, pleas tell us @JJEgan, instead of pointing to stickies every time. We're still here to help one another.

Thank you :good: . I'm still searching for a solution. I think, I have to wait for a newer version of 'Framaroot' app with support for JB 4.3.

cmon dude this is not a sure list...well hope for the best...feel lonely with jellybean
I don't get it
I've had 4.1.2 (official DBT version, international note, running straight talk) and it, without a doubt has been one of, if not the
most stable OS's I've ever used. I can go for weeks without a reboot.
What I don't understand, and I'm not trying to stir a debate, but what is it with the need, other than to take advantage of a new
app that won't run on something lower than 4.3, why bother updating to 4.4? Does it bring a new level of functionality or
features that isn't on the older version? Does your device not function now?
Other than a custom kernel to get around a potential EMMC brick problem, and rooted, this device I use is stock and flies!
I wish we her touch wiz KitKat ROM from Samsung

i am sorry for Noob question but i want to know that can we flash the Galaxy note 3 sm9005 rom on galaxy note 3 sm900 At&t???
I also have this same question. Further, is there any technical difference between the 9005 and the 900A? Or is the A just with AT&t's added bloatware?
