Stock ANA2 Kernel Please :) - Galaxy S III Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, could someone please upload the stock ANA2 Kernel as I mistakenly deleted my nandroid backup and am currently stuck on Virginity Kernel v4 I want the stock one, because it showed far better performance on my phone. And I can't flash the stock fw through odin, because I have some tweaks on my ROM. Thanks in advance

Can you be more specific why is AMJ3 kernel better than ANA2 kernel?

try it and see the difference in performance

I find both ana2 and amj3 kernels work almost the same, but I ended up going back to the ANA2 one. I think it's a little more faster than amj3 but best way to tell is by trying both of them yourself.

Tested on whole ROMs, ANA2 is faster, better AnTuTu benchmark result.

well, i just gotta tell you one thing - don't trust benchmarks that much, because sometimes it can show a low benchmark, but your phone might perform even better than when it showed a higher score

Stock based roms like sgs2 v10.1, the myth 2 - go green, etc & you can use battery extender kernel 1.5.1 OC... You can get all the clocking as in cyanogenmod but not interface customisations. But better battery life... Hit thanks if I helped !
I never had a head ache & some one recommended me rooting !!!

I see I don't have a choise as to use stock..
The myth,sgs2v10.1 etc are not exactly stock.
However if you want ICS or JB then yeah, battery is a pain.

What is modded are just the framework & system ui.apk to give it the look it has. Some bloatwares in the stock are taken off & some tweaks are added. This doesn't affect the baseband in anyway. So it is still the stock based...
I used to have beautiful life before. Now I'm in engineering...!

[Q] Safest-best- kernel+rom for note gt-n7000?

Hello. i want to sure not to mess with my father's not rooted galaxy note gt-n7000 so my questoin maybe lame but i had a bad experience rooting gs2 and without
i need to know what is the best and the safest kernel for the note. and best custom rom 4.1.2 based on touchwiz
i alredy downloaded Kernel_CM10.1_20130320_n7000_CWM.zip from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1789397 this will work fine ?
Thank you
If you flash that kernel you will have boot loop for sure that is a cm10.1 ROM kernel not touchwiz. And you have to be rooted to flash. I don't mess with toichwiz to much I use a cm10.1 ROM I build my self and theme my self but in the terms of kernels for touchwiz look into philz kernels they are safe and I do believe they can be flashed from stock recovery and will root the phone. As for ROMs they are all safe. JUST DONT FLASH ANY ROMS FROM STOCK ICS KERNELS. and also if you look into the how to root part of the ROM forum you will find a lot of info. Then just research the different ROMs to see which one is right for your use.

thanks for the info.. :good: ill do more reading .. i dont wanna mess things up..
hope PhilZ Touch will do the work
for TW JB there are only 2 kernels .. .Philz and Speedmod JB
Go for Philz, Best one (My experience) You will get good benchmark results, better battery life. Good rooted phone.

Yeah, for TW JB the best option is Philz kernel and Speedmod kernel. I myself prefer Philz Kernel. Suit yourself with one of both of them..

[Q] What Custom ROM choose ?

Hello guys !
A few days ago I install a JellyBean ROM for my country through Odin. And now I want to get new Custom ROM. I found Chucky-bean master rom and it's nice. Maybe you can recommend some nice ROMs ? I want this ROM be fast and have low battery consumption.
Read here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2222016

Yeah, thanks for link but I want to get your own opinion about some ROMs.

You can see my signature for that. This is the best setup for currently. But it depends on you. You have to try then you'll know.
Hope this helps.
Hmm... I've just install JellyMod 4.0 and it's really nice But I have CoCore E-6.2 and you have 5.6.2. Do I need to change ? And can you explain me what is CRT ?

CRT.
You don't have to. Many people said v6.2 is the best now. I'm just too lazy to flash Crt off is the animation when you turn your screen off.
Ok, so now I have good setup for my ROM But I found nice rom too. It's PureVanilla what do you think about it ? I can test it.

[Q] about my build number

Hi guys. just gonna ask,
I've seen and learned about the build number, and the builds that i come across reading the forums isn't like mine.
Mine is JZO54K.I8190NZSAMC1 so i don't know if it is compatible when it comes to flashing ROM and kernels and other tinkering the OS stuffs to my build. Thanks to your answers in advance.
As long as the rom is for your device, lets say you got the 8190L then you can only flash 8190L roms

It depends does the rom include your model? if it does give it a go
i think it does include my model but to be sure since it's my first time flashing custom roms. i flashed enox revenge and it's going smoothly no noticeable bugs yet. thank you for confirming. now i have peace of mind when it comes to flashing stuffs.

Glad it worked out in the end for you! I tried enox revenge, but i wanted more of a s4 feel so i went with dmod. Both are excellent roms very stable to stuttering or anything.
i've read the thread about dmod. doesn't it drain your battery fast? i think that's one issue of the dmod right? and to fix that you have to flash something (which i've forgotten).
btw thank you again!

You probably should test and see what version best suits you. And you know that you do not need to use Overclock to use newest kernel.

I am raising this discussion because my experience of CoCore E9.8 with Harsh Jelly 5.1 could be far better. I have gone back to version 8 for my own observation and planning for going as much back as to 6.8 and observe.

I think 6.8 and 8.6 versions are the best if you don't need overclock.
9.8 defaults to 1000 mhz, you don't have to OC if you don't want to/can't.
Of course you can try versions that didn't include OC capabilities.

That's not the point.
Run your device on 9.8 for 2 days and then on 6.8 or 8.2 or 8.6 for two days.
Then share your experiences.
Your point being...? Just curious since I don't remember, was 8.6 the last release without OC capabilities? Because if so I think I know what you mean with all this.
Then, 9.8 is old (march-april). Cocafe is on exams and not developing... go check TC's github, the CM kernel part. It's had tens, maybe a hundred or so commits that cocore doesn't have from that point, and that kernel is probably more advanced/tuned than how 9.8 is, right now. We'll have to wait a little more.
9.8 if you dont want to oc. But I will suggest that try other versions also and see which 1 suits u best
