When you see the Kindle Fire splash screen, hold the rocker volume up. Hold it for three seconds after you see the TWRP splash screen and release and wait.

Hello wonderful people at XDA I was wondering if you could help reset my kindle fire HD 7 back to its original 7.4.6 firmware. I have a custom ROM, root access and TWRP. Please help!

Download Kindle fire first aide and when in the menu use the option that says Kindle fire HD 7 And then click on restore KFHD7 to 7.2.3 and then it should update itself via OTA updates to 7.4.6

You can download it in the KFHD7" General Forum. It's something like "[Root] [HowTo] Backup & Recovery" or something to that effect. If you have TWRP, though, you can download a flashable version of 7.4.3 from the HD 7" Development section. It's pre-rooted and has OTA updates disabled. You can find it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2218475

You will want to boot into TWRP and flash your nandroid backup. If you don't have one then you will have to adb.sideload a ROM or factory image.
Edit: Make sure you always "swipe" for a factory reset before flashing. Wipe Dalvik and CACHE after.
It wont get to the twrp or blue kindle fire boot screen

Sounds like you need a fastboot cable.

You still need money for the breakout board, but $4ish is better than dropping $13 some.

You only start out with 12.6GB of usable storage in the first place. Once flashed you can remove CM zip. Use Clean Master to clean your tablet up. Sounds like you have the proper storage.

I'm running cm 11.
I get the cynoboot and cm boot animations but right before that I get a nook logo. The nook logo is there for 10 seconds then bugs out.
Is there anyway to remove the nook logo on boot?

I don't believe that is possible.
If I've learned anything from XDA it's that nothing is impossible.

But he is right. The Nook logo is part of the B&N locked bootloader and it is not possible to get rid of it. Only a loophole that allows a second bootloader makes it possible to boot something other than stock B&N.

Power off and then power on and see if the keyboard posted up. If you have a custom recovery you can try to ADB sideload a Gapps zip in TWRP and that should bring up a keyboard for you.

Oh it's stock. Well I would try a warranty from Amazon. Otherwise you'll need a fastboot cord and factory images.
