no 3g on AOSP roms (ting) - Sprint HTC One (M7)

hello,
i've got an htc one running on ting (sprint mnvo). i've flashed an endless amount of apn zips but none of them seem to work. i've tried rebooting and turning on airplane mode but 3g refuses to work. LTE and 1x work, but 3g is a no go. i've even tried inserting the apn's into the rom before i flash it. nothing changes. i've tried cyanogenmod, liquid smooth, and am currently on beanstalk. 3g doesn't work for any of them
i've tried flashing this zip and following the instructions given here: https://help.ting.com/entries/42358068-LTE-MMS-APN-Fix-Android-4-4-Kit-Kat-
but that also doesn't work. i've also tried inserting and flashing this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2340437 i'm at my wits end, does anybody have a solution or a zip i can flash or a setting i can change? thanks!

Try the GE rom or sense roms, aosp roms have the 3g issue since android 4.2.

CyanogenMod 6.0 RC2 to Froyo stock rom??

Hi, I has rooted my N1 today and flashed wit CM 6.0 RC2, but now I wanna go back to my FROYO stock rom.
I'm rooted using superboot, and using clockwork recovery, I have the AT&T N1.
The reason I want to go back to stock rom, is after I flashed CM 6.0 RC2, I don't have 3G neither EDGE and no data.
I already checked the data enable, edited the APN and searched the network for 3G from wireless and networks, using the lastest radio 4.06.00.12.7 from CM, and cant get my 3G works.
So, please anyone that got this issue, or can help me solve my situation, i'll be appreciated, I love CM roms, but I'm useless without 3G.
Thanks
Wrong section for this...try doing a nandroid restore. I'm sure you made a backup somewhere before you got started since its plastered over all guides to do so.
the problem that i didn't made a backup with nandroid
are you sure CM has the right apn settings for your operator? in Turkey, we had similar issues before in some roms.. even my operator's web page didn't have the correct settings.. i'm not using CM right now but i tried it and apn list was missing for Turkey.. try Enomther's or Leo's roms, if they suit your needs, stock with them.. or at least try to get the correct settings
PS, you're in the wrong section

[Q] LTE Connectivity Issues with Sense-based ROMs

I have been playing with AOSP and Sense based ROMs on my HTC One and now hit a snag. I tried to flash Instantcoin 7.0.3 and got caught in a boot loop. I had flashed it using TWRP 2.5.0.0 and since it didn't work, I went back and reflashed 2.6.6.3 and restored my Anrdroid Revolution 40.3 (which had been working flawlessly before the Instatntcoin flash). The restore went off without a hitch but I noticed that I couldn't connect to AT&T LTE and had no network service. Tried Viper ROM, nada. I finally restored the original AT&T stock ROM that I had saved, and no dice. The only ROM I can get to work now is CM 10.2 and AOKP.
So since the issues seem to be with sense based ROMs, is it an issue with the radio? I am running .13 when I checked the bootloader.
Anyone else have this sort of issue? I have tried to research it and have not uncovered any info, so any ideas?

Need help getting my phone stable

I can only use Sense roms ATM, and it's killing me. I have no service if I boot anything other than a modified stock ROM.
Could someone point me to all the things I need to flash to have the latest and greatest with everything working? I have yet to find a really good source for this type of info, most important things are buried in various threads it seems.
I've got rumrunner hboot 1.55.5555
Radio is 1.00.20.1108 (I flashed the modified firmware from O.M.J.'s Bad Boyz thread.)
TWRP 2.6.3.4
I did a full wipe, including internal storage, and flashed the new ViperOne update.
Booted up, and no service. So I flashed the only other thing on my USB drive, the old 4.2 Nocturnal GE. Still no service.
Went to SuperOneK, no service. So I tried ##72786#, reset, and after a few minutes my service is back.
Now I have to use stock Sense based ROMS to get service. I really don't want to RUU, is there any other way to fix this mess?
I also have instability in TWRP that other's haven't reported. Settings like screen timeout don't stick when I reboot. OTG is patchy, but that could be my cable (I'll find that out on Friday).
I have the same issue on aosp roms. But when I go back to bb it is fine.

Try flashing ViperOne and go to Venom Tweaks > Misc > Phone Info and make sure "Set preferred network type:" is set to either CDMA auto (PRL) or CDMA + LTE/EvDo auto
If that doesn't work I would try redownloading and reflashing radios/firmware

No Signal Issue on Custom ROMs

I have an unlocked bootloader and rooted Nexus 6. I usually run custom ROMs but I have had some issues when I install them for about the past week or so. I use Straight Talk CDMA which uses the Verizon towers. If I flash an official firmware such as LMY47I (5.1) or LMY47Z (5.1.1) then I have no issues with LTE connecting from the very beginning of the setup screen. Everything works fine including voice, data, and texting. When I install a custom ROM the signal will not connect and there is an exclamation point (!) next to the signal icon. I did have to exchange my phone and Motorola sent me a new one but I was able to use custom ROMs without issues on this phone until sometime earlier this week.
I know that people have been having some issues recently with connection problems and there are various threads on them. I have tried several of these workarounds but it just seems odd that I never had these issues before.
Any help or suggestions would be great. Don't mind running stock firmware but would prefer to be able to use custom ROMs again.
Thanks in advance.

Try a different radio. I've read that the radio from the M test build is fixing some issues.
I've tried flashing a few of the newest radios but not the Android M version. Will give it a try.
Thanks for the reply.

You can even flash an older radio if need be.
So I tried installing two different custom ROMs and both times I got the same signal icon with an (!) next to it. There is no working connection. I tried flashing the radio from the Android M preview and also installed the radio from LMY47D (Verizon 5.1.0) since I am on Straight Talk CDMA. Neither one seemed to help. After flashing these radios I went back to restoring a TWRP backup based on just a stock firmware. From what I understand the radio is separate from any particular ROM you flash and thus independent of each other. I am able to get an LTE signal when I revert back to the backup.
So now I'm stumped. It doesn't seem to be based on the radio. None of the custom ROMs that I was able to use less than a week ago are able to find an LTE signal after a clean install. I can only seem to use official firmware versions.
Any other possible ideas? Could the phone be defective? It was an RMA replacement and I think it was new and not refurbished.
Thanks in advance.

Really sounds like an APN issue. I have flashed a few ROMs and have had that problem. Most recently Exodus ROM. I changed the APN and all is well.

Let me take a look at the APN settings on the stock firmware and then see how they compare when I use a custom ROM. In the past, I never had to set the APN settings as I thought they were set automatically on CDMA sim cards. I'll take a look.
Thanks.

Even if there's another APN with the same name as the one set by default, try switching to the other. That's what worked for me on Exodus.

Thanks for the advice. I was able to compare the APN settings on a stock firmware and enter these settings into the APN settings of a custom ROM and able to get it to work. Just strange that I have to enter these settings manually when I never had to do it before. Thanks for all your help. Much appreciation.
