Hi,
I recently accidently damaged my htc one bottom speaker and its really quite annoying to listen to. I was wondering if there is anyway to disable one audio channel or using an equaliser change audio balance globally. All of the research I have done and all of the equalisers I have tried has yielded no results I am rooted, unlocked and s-off if it helps in anyway. Thanks
I think Viper4Android would be exactly what you're looking for.

all you need : MONO output sound
HTC one sounds basically with stereo outputs and speakers
so you need to convert/change the output from Stereo to Mono, you can look for any App to do this
or you can try Poweramp.apk , go to Tone/Vol and adjust the BALANCE to your correct side
hope this help you
Wouldn't mono still use both speakers? And I have heard of poweramp but wouldn't that only affect that app itself, not for example my OS, ringtone etc. I would just like to completely disable the bottom speaker if there is a way.
Thanks

when you change the Balancer to the (not-damaged) speaker, it will disable the damaged one
if you think you need to disable it without use Balancer app, forget it , you can do it if you can de-assembly your phone

Well there is an option to use one profile universally. So you could set up the Bluetooth profile to have one sided audio and then enable the option to use that profile as the only profile. And when you plugin your headphones you can turn it off.

I'm not really sure why it does this. I don't really want, or need everyone in the vicinity to hear the phone repeat out loud to me who I'm calling. I'd like to change it so it only repeats through the earpiece. And since I don't use a headset, that's not an option for me.
Anyone know if there is a registry setting or other fix to turn this off? I've searched but haven't found anything. Thanks in advance. This has driven me crazy since the 8525.
Nobody has any ideas? I really need to figure this one out...
I'm in TOTAL agreement. Don't need my phone screaming back to me what I just said to it.
btw..loved your last album jack.
Ditto this. Let me go 1 further. I get my voice mails attached as .wmv files to my outlook emails. When I click to play one, it opens in the windows player and the voicemail comes through the speaker phone. Like other said, I really don't want everyone hearing my voicemails this way. Is there a way to get windows player to also output sound to the headphone.
I guess what we're all looking for is some sort of global program that lets us select where the sound for ALL apps goes:
1) handset
2) speakerphone
3) bluetooth
Thoughts? Suggestions?
thx
Robert

Never heard that one before. Hahaha.
Yea, I've seen many threads in different forums about this same issue, but no one seems to know a fix for it. I'm glad, at least, that I'm not alone on this.
Maybe if there was a way to programatically disable speakerphone, launch the app, and as soon as it is closed, re-enable speakerphone?
Anyone else have any ideas?
try searching for BTAudio, it redirects all audio out to BT headset, i used it on my S200 (Prophet) but i think it will work on the Kaiser

BTAudio is in the sticky thread for the Kaiser CAB Collection.
But will BTAudio direct all audio to the handsets speaker (not the speakerphone) if I want it to instead of the bluetooth headset?
Exactly. I use my bluetooth headset rarely. In those instances, I'd rather all audio going to the speakerphone INSTEAD go to the internal handset speaker.

BTAudio isn't working for me. Especially since I don't have a headset. Does anyone know how to turn off speakerphone using an EXE, shortcut, or registry setting?
C'mon guys, anyone??? This really drives me crazy. I need the voice dialer to confirm through the handset's speaker, not the speaker phone. Help!
Anyone here could confirm if SRS WOW HD work on X1 ?
it does work, however it screws up the volume control. Also, sound doesnt seem much better, its realle, really good as it is
That's sound great
Wow that's what I really want to hear thank for reply
Anybody get a version of SRS Wow to work on the xperia?
one version said it couldn't load the driver, and the other version worked but you couldn't change the volume settings (always set on a very loud setting).
How did you get it to work?
I installed on my X1, but no sound, and phone can't wake up after sleep(gotta remove and reput battery).
I realised my wave.dev is missing, can someone please upload it?
I tried the one from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=421589
It works, but sound is VERY loud and volume control doesn't work any more.
Anyone has been more successfull than me?

HTC Audio Booster ... !
Hey!
The attached HTC Audio Booster works great on the X1 !
BUT the graphics are made for QVGA so it looks a bit tiny.
I can live with that
Greets !
It will screw up the switching of the sound channel.
I did try the SRS Wow and found that it will screw up the switching between sound channel. e.g. A2DP -> Headset (phone call) -> turn off BT, and you will found there isn't any sound on yr speaker.
For HTC Audio booster, it only works for wired headset but you can use the files from blackstone for WVGA resolution.

I have also tried it. It works but it automatically switch to internal (Stereo) while i want to keep it in handphone....
it there any solution for this bug?!
I´ve tried it with the attached .cab. In my opinion it was a very bad experience. I´m using Grado SR80s which sounds very good with everything EQ turned off. With SRS Wow HD the sound was less detailed and lacked definition.
I think it can sound better with bad headphones (compensating with EQ) but I can´t recommend it if you are using good ones.

Ummm...I use it for making ringtone become louder, so sound quality is not my concern. The headphone mode of SRS WOW is really work. I really want to know how to slove the problem of switching to internal (stereo) automatically. Anyway, thanks for your opinion
A simple question: on which way is the sound better (when using headphones and SRS Wow 3D)?
Would be nice with a description.
For me the biggest problem was the lack of definition and details compared to totally flat setting with the Pocket Player. But - if SRS Wow HD has an own audio driver who has replaced the standard one - it sounds good when it´s used in "flat mode". But I´m not sure it has replaced the standard audio driver (i.e it´s always used instead).
Any X1 user successfully install and notice changes in the speaker after install this SRS WOW HD ??
Anyone mind to upload their Original WaveDev registry here?? My X1 totally lost its sound after install SRS WOW n their wavedev.reg zzzz
it works easily without any issues.
it digitally loudens the sound...if u amp too much..u get distortion..but otherwise u can use it for loudspeaker
am confused.. so bottomline which is the best free audio enhanceR?
working:

You have to have headphones plugged in before you can enable it. Not sure exactly about the results you get from it as i don't use it.

plug in headphones and turn it on. when you are on bluetooth it will likely still be to the "on" position but greyed out. Not sure if it actually does its thing via bluetooth though. Try it out with it turned on and off and see if it makes any difference in sound when connected to bluetooth.
As far as I know you can't actually transfer ultra high quality audio over bluetooth. I haven't seen any bluetooth headphone or speaker that supports over CD quality. (In terms of sample rate, bit depth etc.) but I might be wrong.

that makes sense.
I was wondering if there is anything similar we can use for our Huawei devices. Maybe anything on play store.
I want to stream media with Bluetooth device and use phone's internal speaker for calls/mic.
Ideally an option to select which audio device I use for every app.
I found app: SoundAbout on play store. Will test it later in the evening.
There is a bug I have when playing PUBG mobile with bluetooth headset. It detects it as a call output device not media therefore the sound quality is really bad and very low volume.
Not sure if this will fix the problem but will see.
When you hook up a portable speaker then you can adjust the settings in the bluetooth so that music will go to the speaker and when you get a call that it will go to the phone.

I've used the free app Bluetooth Auto Connect for several years. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect&hl=en_GB
Not sure it will let you have different options for each app, but I do actually use it for the exact opposite reason that you want... I direct calls to my car's inbuilt bluetooth but have my satnav app's instructions played through the phone speaker.
Also has Tasker integration...if you use it
Hey people
Just wondering as ime struggling to root my p30 Pro is there anyway to boost the headphone volume
I no there was a few mods for the Samsungs etc
Im using goodev´s, give it a try.
Just get a USB C DAC dongle. Both the HTC and Hidisz ones work well and increase both the volume and sound quality.

I had same problem - one easy fix (potentially) is to change audio codec to SBC codec.
Go to Settings -> Developer options -> Bluetooth Codecs and select SBC.
Now I cannot turn volume up to 100% as its too loud for me.
P.S. Headset needs to be turned on and connected to your phone before you can select a new codec.
