why waste money on bad quality FM transmitter instead of BT? Get a header that support bluetooth (e.g. JVC BT-1, some models from Sony and others). If you header has aux input and you want to do it in a cheaper way, get an Sony DS-205 and connect that to yr header.
jackleung is rigth.
I have the sp 700 and the FM is bad,but if you need a good portable carkit it's ok.
The sound of the internal speaker and the mic is good.
Still one minus, i had to install this http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-zoa2dp.html
to get it to pair rigth.
Only got the systeemsound over bt but after installing the cab everything works great.
No more bt trouble

I don't now about the fm and bt kwality, but as far as i know it suports multipairing and thats a big + if you have more than 1 device

Would there be a way for you to record a sample of the stream through FM transmitter? I'd REALLY appreciate that as i'm looking to buy the SP700 as well. The only thing that's holding me back is your comment.
I really want the FM option and this one was the only one that i could find that had a nice design and good features.

I try ,give me a day or 2 to do this.
soundfiles
First of all ,this is very subjective.
I don't have a kwality recording device. This is recorded with a mp3 player.
It's done in my car(no engine) and it's hard to hear the high tones and the static of the fm transmission.
So don't kill me if you do something and regret it later.
I have recorded speech and music. For reference i have 1 empty soundfile from the recording device so you can hear the static from it.
I stand to what i sayed before ,the sp700 is a great handfree device for calls and navigation, but the fm performances for music is on it's best tolerable but not good enough.
If you don't have 1 and you want it for the music...., i wouldn't buy it,for handfree , great!!!!!!!!!!!, even over fm

Kudos. I actually got mine last week and love them so far. I'm having a problem in that after the first pairing when it automatically connects, music will play through the device, not the SP700s, i have to sometimes repair to get it going or do some weird stuff. I've tried A2DP toggle with no success and it seems like a lot have this issue, find a remedy for this?

This cab solved all my BT problems.
Read about it hire:http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-zoa2dp.html
Just installed it (didn't find an icon so i'm guessing it runs in the background). I deleted my connection with the SP700 and i'll check how it works out tomorrow (after the first pair).
Is this only good for WM 5? Does this do anything for WM 6.1 phones which supports A2DP?
I've been using A2DP toggle with success, but if this works with the toggling it sounds great.
Update: loaded it on my Tilt. Works GREAT!! Switches between BT headset & SP700 with any toggling or pairing

@kareem9nba You use ATT. Have you experienced any problems with your Internet connection after installing zoA2dp? It seems that after I use BT and access the Internet, I get a 403 Forbidden error on my screen. I've tried enabling and disabling the hidden proxy, but I can only get access restored with a soft reset. Anyone else experience this problem?
Another minor glitch. I use Resco radio to stream music through the SP700, after a phone call, the radio has to be manually enabled again.
Don't have a data package so i wouldn't be able to try that. I don't use Resco Radio either. When you uninstall it, does your internet work again?

I can't seem to find what is causing the problem. If the problem gets worse, I'm sure a Hard Reset will fix it.
I will say that if I keep the power cord plugged in it works like a antenna and actually will get a better signal. I love how the SP700 works with calls, transmitting and music (when you get it to work). As of now when I want to play music over the SP700 I need to turn off the wireless stereo on the phone and then re-enable it for it to work. Or just re-pair the unit to my phone. A lot of people are say to use zoa2dp to fix this. While it does work and allows music to be played with no re-pairing necessary, the sound quality seems to be greatly reduce. Is anyone having the same issue? Is there a ROM for the Tilt that can fix this bug?

I have a Fuze and the same problem. It sucks. zoa2dp is automatic, but the sound quality is degraded a bit. To maintain the sound quality I have to manually turning off and then on the Wireless Stereo setting. Another option is you can install the a2dptoggle app. It seems to do the same thing but in 1 click.

Hello guys,
I'm very interessting in getting the galaxy gear but first I want to know if it is possible to connect a bluetooth headset to the the watch after installing the nova launcher, and also install a music player and store some music in the 4go storage. otherwaise the MOTOACTV is more interresting watch.
Thanks
It is possible to connect Bluetooth headset with Gg, was a topic right here. I don't think the launcher metters,Nova or touchwiz but maybe some of other feature will.not work without touchwiz. But why to copy music to watch.. I don't get it. Just buy a cheap 16 or 32 GB microsd and you have a lot of space for music...

I would like to connect my Bluetooth headphones for running and exercise. I can play mp3 (rooted Gg and sideloaded apks). How do I stream audio to my stereo Bluetooth headset? The gear doesn't have a scanning option to search for available Bluetooth pairing devices. It only has the option to make the gear discoverable and enable\disable Bluetooth. The GN3 only has 1 option under bluetooth profile settings, enable/disable call audio. If you uncheck, the gear disconnects from the GN3. No options available for media under bluetooth settings. Please assist. This was my primary reason for purchasing the watch.
Thanks in advance

1st of all, thanks for the reply. :good:
I would prefer to get this same functionality from the Gear if possible, without spending another $200-$250 for another gadget with a singular purpose.
Since this is a developers site, the watch is rooted, has confirmed mp3 player capability and has bluetooth, I was hoping someone could address it from a software aspect. It needs A2DP audio streaming to the bluetooth headset directly from the watch. Is this possible?

Yeah, I think Runtastic needs GPS to be truly beneficial. I read some where that the Gear 2 will have GPS, wifi and better battery life. It supposed to be in development now for a possible 1st quarter 2014 release.
I'm thinking instead of trying to get Google Now / voice-to-text running on the watch, why we can't use the watch as an a2dp device?
Relay the audio back and forth to the phone and let the phone do the processing and Internet.
I know it's possible because you can make a phone call from the watch, so why can't we tell Google Now or s-voice to send a text message?
Has one one given this a go? If so, is it as awesome as I imagine?? Also, how? I can't seem to get any audio other than call audio and on-watch audio out of the watch.
Also, this may be a stretch, but is there perchance a VNC-type app that can be run across bluetooth? View the phone's screen on your watch all willy-nilly and what's. Sounds crazy, I know, but it FEELS like it could be done.
----update
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=js.android.btmusic
This looks promising for talking to Google Now! I'm in class right now, but I'll give it a go here in about an hour.
----
Doesn't work. Just forwards media audio out the earpiece on the phone.
I'll do some fiddling with it later.
-----YET ANOTHER IDEA
I should just make a thread called "My perfect Gear in a perfect world", but what about fullscreen keyboard? You know how on your phone, you go to landscape mode and your keyboard takes up the whole screen with it's own textbox on top? Would there be a way to force that on the gear? Seems like every time I'm trying to type on the gear, the keyboard is covering what I'm typing.
using the phone's internet to do the actual processing of information is referred to as "TETHERING"... you are basically saying "let's use our galaxy gear as a microphone" ... this is what tethering would do. Initiate a request from the galaxy gear, process request using phone's internet, completing task at origin of initial request / location.
Now...... using the galaxy gear as a module to transmit system sound would be interesting idea... meaning we emulate our phones microphone via bluetooth connection (gear) but then you'd have to shut off the gear's sounds and all audio coming from the phone would somehow have to transmit through the gear... which i think would be very slow/ laggy... but also an interesting thought

I picked up a cheap bluetooth speaker to play music on, and I noticed it has an extra profile in the bluetooth settings on my phone that the Gear doesn't have. "Media Audio"
I can use the bluetooth speaker talk to Google Now, but not the Gear, so I"m thinking this is what's missing.
Is this a hardware thing? Can this be spoofed/modified to include the Media Audio for the Gear?
MEDIA AUDIO is a bluetooth profile that some device/receiver bluetooth DO have
for example i have a chinese bluetooth dialer that does have 2 bt profile.... os i can enable it for the phone audio.... AND for media audio. and wwhen i play a song on my phone.... also via youtube app, the audio is STREAMED TO THE BT RECEIVER ( the dialer) that does have a 3,5mm hole to use it with headphones. and i can HEAR youtube audio wireless using the BT dialer plus headphones...... thaks to media audio profile
It brings a tear to my eye that this was never implemented before the abandonment of the Null rom, A2DP is basically the only thing missing from it.
Hi all,
The same headphones which used to work perfectly with my Huawei Honor 8 stutter upon Bluetooth music playback to the point of unusuable. It's the kind of stuttering like there's a poor connection/bandwidth issue between the phone and the headphones. It's similar to what happened on my Huawei Honor 8 when I was washing my car and ducked my head under the car
Tried multiple apps:
Google Play Music
Youtube
Youtube Music
Amazon Music
EDIT: ONLY my Philips SHB4405 headphones suffer! Tried different bluetooth devices to eliminate the headphones, same stutter.
Tried setting the special access to the battery use: "Settings", search for "Special access". Select "Ignore battery optimisation". Make sure "All apps" are shown. Select the app you want and set it to "Allow (May drain your battery more quickly)"
Tried setting Battery settings of the app to manage manually then Auto launch, Secondary Launch and Run in background all toggled on.
Any ideas please?
It is likely their hyper-aggressive battery management software, which there seems to be no way to remove.
You may try to go to development mode menu and play around with the BT audio bit rates and codexs. Or, just take it back to the shop and exchange it for a new one.

funnily enough I did have an update apply yesterday but it didn't fix this behaviour. EMUI 8.1.0.159 (C782)
I have an update to my OP though. The bluetooth music streaming actually works perfectly on every bluetooth audio device I have (Radio, AV receiver, 2 x car stereos, bluetooth speaker, another set of bluetooth headphones) so I can only assume that the Huawei P20 Pro is incompatible with the Philips SHB4405 headphones! sounds bizarre to say it but that's my experience!
Bluetooth codec fix
I fixed this on my Honor 8x by changing the bluetooth codec used in the developer settings.
1. Enable developer settings
2. Change the "Bluetooth audio codec" setting value from "aptX" to "SBC"
Hi mate, check the supported codecs on your headsets. Enable developer options in Settings and force SBC codec.
Has the latest 9.0 solved your Bluetooth problem?

Hi Guys,
I have a P20 and I love it, but had the BT audio stuttering problem in my car for a while - the radio is fine, my gf's Samsung can stream to it no problem.
9.0 didn't help, the problem persisted until... I changed the display sleep time to 10 minutes and forgot about it.
So after some testing I can 100% confirm that the stuttering happends only when the screen is off.
When I drive with the screen on, the BT music streaming works great. When I turn off the display - within minutes the stuttering starts. Turn on screen again - no stuttering.
Test it.
Happens on my Mate 10 only when screen is off. I already removed PowerGenius and had set battery optimization off to my music app. This is so annoyingly frustrating. Any solution yet?
I think I have the same or a similar issue using Beoplay H9. Changing codec to manual SBC or AAC does not work, but SBC is noticably better.
Closing all open apps or restarting bluetooth often works, but restarting the phone completely alleviates the problem. After an hour or two the problem appears again.

Can you check if the headphones are paired to anything else in the vicinity? Like a tablet or other phone? May be the problem..
Also the codecs in use make a difference too, can be altered in Dev options.
I had problems with calls with a very expensive pair of plantronics on my phone, the v6200's £275 when they were released lol.
Base didn't make a difference either Oreo all the way up to 9.1, in fact it was better on Oreo.
Doesn't affect everyone in the same way.
Paired to stuff yes but I can take them out of the question by wandering away from any of the devices for a 1-2 mile walk
Still experiencing this same problem on EMUI 9.1, even after disabling battery optimization in all music apps.
This worked for me - turn off 'Always on Display'
I was getting brief but regular strutters with my bluetooth headphones (Marley Positive Vibrations 2) but only when the p20 pro was put in my jeans pocket, so walking the dog while listening to Spotify was a pretty glitchy affair. At first I assumed being inside the pocket was degrading the bluetooth signal strength but I recently noticed that whenever the phone sensed it was inside my pocket (or in a pitch black room) it was turning off 'Always on Display' to save battery, so wondered if this was affecting the bluetooth audio connection (especially as people already suggested it was related to either display settings or battery saving options).
I disabled 'Always on Display' and this stuttering problem has been completely resolved for me (EMUI 9.1).
@theToots
Where to find the option 'Always on Display'
edit:
Found
I have this same Issue using a P20 Pro and Sennheiser HD 4.50 btnc.
This annoying audio stuttering started happening only after a software update (EMUI 9.1.0.361).
A fix that works for me is to turn my location off.
I have a serious problem with Bluetooth audio.
I have really good headphones, but they are quite old and there's no support for ldac or aptx (just sbc). However I'm coming from Huawei P20 Pro and I never had any problem with audio quality on that phone.
And what exactly I mean? When I'm listening the music I can hear occasional drops of audio bitrate. It's extremely annoying. And no, I'm not using different Bluetooth devices (but I was able to do this with Huawei which had older Bluetooth version [!]), everything about multiple output is disabled, that option in developer's menu is set to 1.6. I'm out of ideas and pretty disappointed that premium device like Note 9 have problems with basic functions like this.
Ps. It's not a problem with my device. Same thing is happening on my friend's Note 9.
connect headphone via Bluetooth then go to
developer mode enable it/Bluetooth audio codec/(select the code you needed)
At what volume do you listen via bluetooth?
I have the same issue with my car receiver and noticed that if i play it at max volume i experience that and if i play it at a slighty lower volume, one or two steps from max, the issue is gone (or so i hope) for now it seems it is resolved by lowering the volume from max, or it is fixed in CSC1

I'm not listening on max volume, but sometimes it's close (older or more niche music recorded and mastered properly).
Btw just tried listening on my dad's S8+ and it's the same, so Samsung generally has something broken with sbc codec which is rather disappointing.
Btw, I'm using European Exynos model.
That's probably why Samsung still includes the headphone jack with their phones. I don't use bluetooth that often, except in the car and I don't recall experiencing any issues with it. Maybe I don't pay attention to it, but I will this time and see.
