Share Gear Camera to any device:good: - Samsung Galaxy Gear

First, Install IP Webcam on the Gear Watch and:
get your IP information
add a username and password
start the camera server.
Second, install IP Cam Viewer on the Note3 or any other android device and use the IP Webcam for Android as the Make and Model of Camera.
Input the ip address you got from the Gear Watch and viola!!!!
Hope it works for you....:good:

can u explain better?
does it work over the web?
..or it work only if the gear is using the bluetooth tethering option? i am quite noob... but... what is the REAL ip of a gear.... if tethered via bluetooth? i think the same of the smartphone.
so... how could work your ip cam software.... i don't understand.
is it like a SERVER ( gear) and a CLIENT ( the smartphone) and with a softtware to see ip cam on smartphone, you choose the same ip of your smartphone( that is replied on gear via BT)

The Gear needs to have a functioning Internet (whatever means works for you).
When you install the IP Webcam on the Gear, start the app and scroll to where it says Start Server.
When the camera starts, click on the Action button (upper right) and click on Share IP ...via Bluetooth, make sure your phone is visible for bluetooth and accept the bluetooth file transfer and open it You should be able to see what the IP Address is (write that done).
On your phone, open the IP Cam Viewer and add the camera (make and model is IP Webcam for android)...enter the IP address and thats its.
hope that helps....

WM6 remote desktop - set display resolution

Hi there,
i have installed Finster869's WM6_RemoteDesktop.cab, which is available somewhere in the forum here.
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to set some advanced options, which are normally shown in the regular remote desktop application for Windows Desktop OS's?
- Display: Remote Desktop Size
- Experience (Desktop background, Menu animation, themes)
Thanks
Chris
I'm curious how to set these too. 640x480 seems to get forced when I connect, making Outlook unusable.
Yeah, me too. There's a file default.rdp where you can amend the value of the resolution but somehow it doesnt take effect.
I end up using VNC Viewer though.
Hi, if there's just another Remote Desktop Client allowing to fit my needs - I'd use it.
What are the best Clients (also commercial)? Where can I get that VNC Viewer?

Got another question though - Is it possible to connect to a WM2003 server console through Finster869's RDP client?
Logmein
Another option is logmein free. They have a plugin for WM that works on the Kaiser I have from ATT. Allows me to set resloution, screen size, etc, and it's free.
im too looking for a way to get remote desktop mobile to set a custom resolution
because in small resolution on wm6 rdm it just hard for me to navigate stuff.
can someone find a hack for this please.. dear hackers out there thanks.
Need a little help here....i've 4 computers in the house and it's all running VNC Server Enterprise Edition 4.2.2. I've downloaded VNC Viewer from the link above and run it on my Kaiser but when try to connect, it says "Unable to connect to the specified server!". I'm not sure what to set as i'm just bad with these network stuff.
Assuming i want to connect to my computer A name "Desktop". I would assume i just input the name Desktop to "Server" in the program and put in the password right? Or am i just so lost
Hope somebody can kindly guide me on this. Appreciate it.
Anybody? Would love to get it working in my TyTN II & i have up to 4 computers to remote into
Are you trying to get into them from the Internet or are you on your WiFi network?
If you are on your WiFi you will need to know the IP address of the machine you are connecting to unless you have DNS setup internally. Not sure if WM6 by default will detect Windows names.
If you are coming from the Internet then you will need to port forward your to each of your machines.
Guys, as usual, Wiki is your best friend. Do search it before asking - I've answered almost all the questions asked in this thread in the Remote Desktop Access Bible at http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Access your desktop PC from your Pocket PC!
To make it short, in the Comparison Chart ( http://www.winmobiletech.com/122006PPCPCRemoteControl/PPC2PCRemoteRoundupTable.htm ), it's the "Resolution, zoom, color" group that you must check out; most importantly, the first ("Remote desktop resolution?") and the fifth ("Remote desktop resolution settable?") row. The latter even shows how you can actively change the resolution from the client.

Well....i would want to get connected via Home WiFi first. All the 4 computers are connected to the same router. I've tried putting in the computer IP address (ie: 192.168.1.101::5900) but it still says not able to connect. the ::5900 seem to be added in on it's own.

1, welcome to XDA-Devs
2, you mean is the address, your name / password saved? All of them, as is also explained in the chart of the Bible (did you check it out?????), in the "Login: l/p credentials definable, used (with RDP clients) and remembered? – an advantage particularly with RDP-based clients" and the "Server IP’s remembered?".
Please DO spend some time reading these Bibles / charts before asking questions!
no, sorry for the bad english. I mean, what about the security of the connection. Via PC i use a ipsec connection. When I use a normal connection it is possible to trace my login data and to get access to my server for other people.

RDP is a safe protocol - no cleartext passwords are communicated. BTW, you can also run RDP over a VPN connection to maximize safety.

help viewing ip camera on tytn II

hi im trying to view my ip camera on my tytn II but have ran into problems. i have connected the camera so i can connect to the internet anywhere in the world and access it as long as i have internet explorer and an ocx file installed. once you visit the site there is a link at the bottom of the page which downloads a ocx setup file (i beleve this is somesort of activex control). once installed you never need to run it again. the only problem is the file wont work on the tytn II. i just get loads of text on the screen. is there anyway around this? perhasp convertion so it works on my tytn II? or is there any other solution? any help would be very greatly appreciated thanks in advance
Mobile browsers don't support the usual plugins used for IP cameras.
There are however 3rd party programs designed to access IP cams on PocketPCs, I don't have a particular name though so you might want to ask Google what he thinks about it.
You can try skyfire...I don't know it it works
I've read (in another forum on xda) that some cams (like the linksys one) can be viewed via tcpmp.
Use search and you should find more on that.
--edit--
I'm bored so I searched.
http://www.google.com/cse?cx=000825...ip+webcam+tcpmp&cof=FORID:0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8
if the cam produces a mjpeg stream you can play this with coreplayer
thanks chaps i shall look into these avenues

Unfortunately you don't give much detail about the camera other than it's IP. The link L4z3r gave would probably be your best bet. It lets you download it for free and have one free camera so you can test it to make sure it works. Pretty much any IP camera with JPEG or MJPEG support should work the app.

needing a different APP for remote access

Hello guys, I have searched for some apps to get the Remote Control, by my fuze to PC, I found remote control, remote pc, remote desktop mobile, and others of them.
The problem is that my home's IP changes every time, so the best app I found was z2remote2PC, becaus this you choose your username and password, and it is all necessary to log in, do not need the system IP, the problem was that I didint achieve the registration for it, I would like to know an APP like this without registration or with the crack/serial, anybody know?
thanks

Now you have to forward port 3389 to the internal ip address of you computer (192.168.1.X or similar) within your router. This website should help you out www.portforward.com . Once that is done, go into system properties ---> remote ---> and enable remote desktop. Download and install no-ip DUC (dynamic update client) and let it startup with your PC (this allows your external ip to be constantly mapped to XXXXXX.no-ip.org)
To access your remote desktop. type in XXXXXX.no-ip.org within the remote desktop window.
If you need any help. Feel free to ask!
make your life easier, just use logmein. all you gotta do is install the client on your phone and desktop and log in from your phone and you can access your desktop anywhere in the world.

Since neither me nor anyone else knows about the network configuration of the network you want to connect to, I don't think we're able to tell you what you should put into the various fields.
The one to work out, or know, that stuff is YOU.
If You're using Windows - run cmd.exe and type there ipconfig/all. And this will answer Your question

I can help you. You need to connect your computer or laptop first with the wifi network. Then open the wifi adapter property from PC(pic 1). Click on Details button as in picture 1. The details window copy the details marked in yellow rectangle(pic 2).
Just follow all values exactly same except he IPv4 address. Use the IPv4 address in your phones IP address box but change the last digits after dot.
If you are getting confused please send me the screen shots of your windows as mine.

dipusen, you forgot to mention that this will most likely work without troubles in a home network but shouldn't be tried in a School (WiFi) network, or any other public WiFi, as chances are (by incrementing the last octet of the IP) that this could trigger a duplicate IP in the network if the $currentIP 1++ is already assigned to another device by DHCP.

Hi runkdown
I would like you to try a static ip address, most routers are running from 192.168.1.1 so go to settings and then network, wifi settings, press menu button, and then go to advanced, check static ip address, and then put 192.168.1.15 in your ip, 255.255.255.0 as your subnet mask, 192.168.1.1 as your default gateway, and 8.8.8.8 as your primary dns, 8.8.4.4 as your second dns, and try it out, if it works, great, if not go back to settings and uncheck static ip address.
my friend am running out of solutions, i hope someone have a cure for this problem.

not on the computer, this setting is for your galaxy tab. you told me that you have tried many routers, so the problem shouldn't be on the computer or the router, you should apply this setting on your tablet as i described, if it doesn't work, uncheck static ip address in your tab.
