[Q] software update is not supported for this model while updating

when i tried to update LG Optimus 2x , it is showing error "software update is not supported for this model" . what to do now ???

Please help me..

Actually... Android 4.0.3 is the latest right now .

Hey can anyone help me find stock roms for my LG optimux 2x P990H phone? i've learnt that not just any stock rom can work on my phone. i bought mines from Amozon.com

Use LG updater. Unlock, update with LG with your carrier rom by imei. Then bb is normal without secuirity stuff and flash normal p990 BB. Then as always root/cwm.

the official one hasn't released yet but you can use other roms which are presented in development section

LG hasn't release the official ICS upgrade. if you want get ICS ROM go to development thread, there are many costum ICS ROM and Jelly Bean. i think the stable for daily use is korean repack. The korean pack comes from LG Official ICS for KU5900 that known as LG Optimus Black Korean version. there are little different about the memory storage size and has been successfully port to LG Optimus Black P970. The ROM use ICS Kernel and allmost everything work except SD Card and USSD CMIIW, i think it can be use for daily. If you run with costum ROM there is no free Bug, every ROM has a bug so choose the suitable for you

Which Custom Rom should I try?

Hello guys, I am currently on the official ICS for the SU660 and I updated with the tutorial mentioned in this section. I want to try some other CUSTOM ROM (ICS preffered) I dont know which one is the most stable and has no bugs (stable as the official ics?) Also, tell me the ROMS of the standard optimus 2x (not korean) which can be used on the SU660 and how?

wait in some days and you will have fully functional Cm10 rom which is jellybeans (even higher than ICS). it's nightly now and still has some bugs. if you still want to try the nightly, it's at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1964240.

in short, no. There are small differences in the code and all themes and roms have to be ported.
