[Q] Firmware Question

Hey guys,
So what is the difference between v10D and v10E on the LG Optimus 2x P990? Is there a changelog for it?

all i know difference between v10D and v10E (asian version): more stable (no reboot, fc etc.) baseband upgraded from 622 to 725, and *ouch* you can't force stop program from setting ->applications->manage applications anymore....

Ok great. Not worth upgrade to 10E then I presume.

[Q] Can i still rot my lg optimus black running on ics original rom ku5900 v30g

Hey! I wanted to update my lg optimus black to ics with the rom v30g the official update for lg optimus black, but the question is how can i root it if im in ics now?

If you have KU5900 and it is not rooted, flash the kdz of 30g(or bin, fls via smartflashtool)
if you are rooted and have cwm, flash the rom in development section...the KU5900 ICS rom. Its rooted.
If you have LG P970, you cannot flash kdz of KU5900 directly. You have to go to development section assuming you already have cwm, flash the KU5900 rom.
If you are talking about v30B france, you can flash it via smartflashtool or kdzupdater and root it with unlockroot.

[Q] LG black P970h Vivo

Hello i just bought LG p970h, it was using Android froyo 2.2, so i tried to Udapt the firmware with LG suite and thene i got 2.3.4 gingerbread, but after that i cant have ICS 4.0.4.... so i'm wondering if there are o way to have The stock ROM with LG suite for my LG or i need to do it manuelly. Thanks?

[NEED HELP] Looking for a guide to flash a GB ROM

Hi all!
A friend of mine has an Optimus 2X that she got from her university. She has to develop an unity app which works with 2.3 APIs so she needs a Ginger Bread ROM to use these APIs. Since she has a Nexus 4, she already has the newest JB version to test the app on newer devices. This is why she explicitly wants a Gingerbread ROM, and nothing newer. Could anyone give a guide on how to install a Gingerbread ROM and which of them is the best for this purpose?
Information about the current installed version:
Model number: LG-P990
Android version: 2.2.2
Baseband version: 1035.21_20110218
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9-dirty
Build number: FRG83G
LGE Version LGP990-V10b

EDIT:
Since the phone belongs to the university, she cannot unlock the bootloader. Also, the software update within Android itself says that there is no new version available. Is it still possible for her to upgrade to a GB ROM, maybe even a stock one?

Search for Homero2 thread and download on phone SD card his nvflash 20S rom.
Download on PC the All In One Tool 5.6 in Dev section and follow the guide of the operation requested before nvflashing the 20S rom.
Edit: you can update to GB stock LG without unlocking the phone.
Link to LG 2x support site, download and install drivers, connect 2x to pc, start the LG Update on PC and follow the instructions.

KitKat currently unavailable, and with Jellybean, 3D does not work. IMO, ICS is your best bet; there are other good ICS ROMs as well; check the P920 dev section (P920 and P925 are the same device).
