Can anyone help? I am using an AT&T unlocked HTC One with Straight Talk sim, and after Kit Kat upgrade I can't send or receive pics or connect to WiFi. Get no help from HTC, and have gone over my APN settings with Straight Talk. Don't know what my options are to fix problem. Appreciate any help I can get...

Have you tried a factory reset?

Thank you for responding. I was going to do that as a last resort. I was reading in forums that I need to root my phone. Something bout me having Straight Talk makes Kit Kat not work right. And that after root I need to put a couple apps from play store on my phone for changing APN. I have changed APN couple times, but they said the apps will allow me to access it differently. I am computer il-lit-rate, and don't have a clue. I figured I'd read all I can before going further. Thank you...

Flashed cm10.1 release candidate today. Everything seemed fine, then I discovered I wasn't receiving calls and wasn't able to make calls either. Anybody have any similar issues? Anyone have any suggestions as to what I may have done to cause this or if there are any settings I may need to change? Please help. Thanks in advance.
I literally just had this problem and spent the past 5 hours with useless tech support.
Don't call Sprint tech support, they just end up doing something on their end that makes you lose your texting and data, too. They ****ed me so hard I have to go into a repair center.
I can't even get another phone correctly activated in the meantime to use as a placeholder.
I'm just as lost as you are, too.
Try ##786# menu and reset. Make sure you are in a good signal area, this will do hands free activation and update prl.

The problem with trying that is the phone number and MSID fields are now blank, and going into the other dialer menu ##221542# and setting them that way doesn't stick past the reboot it forces when you try and apply those.
Maybe try following this thread

Tried that a couple different times with a couple different tech support reps, each time the phone number and MSID don't stick afterwards.
Sorry I tried, I don't have any other ideas. Hopefully someone else can help.

My older phone is finally activated (took well over an hour for calls and data to come back to it, by far the longest I've ever seen a phone take). So at least I have a phone again.
Good luck OP, I'm going to visit a Sprint store tomorrow to see what they say. Report back in on whatever it is you try and what you find does/doesn't work.
Did you try set ril.class to HTCCDMAQUALCOMMRIL in the build.prop

I couldn't seem to find that line but I'll look for it again after work. What line is it numerically and what exactly does the line say?

Yeah, I just read through the entire thing, that line is missing. I'll add it in and see what changes.
Posting again instead of editing for the sake of the bump.

It didn't do anything. I'm heading to a Sprint store right now.

Back from the Sprint store, the rep I had happens to be a flasher like one of us. I explained to him what had happened and he got right to ordering me a new phone after a $50 deductible.
So, OP, we were both SOL. The MSID had gotten corrupted (similar to how in the early days of the Galaxy S3, it had a chance to lose its ESN) and couldn't be re-written. Only thing to do is get a replacement.
I switched to AT&T and want to sell my Sprint HTC One. I noticed after hard resetting the phone, it still has my phone number and current username info under About>Phone Identity. Does anyone know how to remove this info?
You can't really unless u sell it to someone and they activate the phone under their account then once that is done they have to update the phone profile under settings- activate device- update profile

You should be able to do this. I was able to do it on my EVO, but obviously, this info MAY be out of date.
You will need your MSL though, and unless you're rooted, you'll need to call Sprint to get it anyways. As the mod in the linked thread points out, you might as well get their help with it since you'll have to call them anyways. My EVO was rooted so I've known my MSL all along.

That's the apn regardless. I work for AT&T and at&t owns aio. Our internal sites say that aio apns are the same as at&t.

Ok so two things.
1. At least once or twice a day my data quits after receiving a call on my moto x, and I have to turn airplane mode on and back off to fix it. Had that issue with 4.2 and 4.4. I never use WiFi as I have unlimited data but it seems similar to your situation
2. My wife has a HTC One GE on AIO and has mentioned a few times that her data takes about 5 minutes to activate after going out of range of WiFi. I just assumed it was her phone but maybe it is an issue with aio.
I spoke with Motorola a few weeks ago about my moto x and they told me to do a master reset, but I never did.

I never get it again after Wi-Fi without reboot. I live 20 min from work and go from there to home with no data most the time. I like aio but not having data is going to kill me. I don't get why it works perfectly fine on the 4.2.2 but not 4.4 even when I ran the leak before official it still didn't work
Hi there,
I've got a problem with TV app on my HTC One.
I'm running Viper Rom 3.1 RC2 (3.62.401.1) and since I've upgraded my HTC to newest firmware 4.06 the TV app won't connect to the server.
I'm not sure if the problem is because the ROM is different base than my firmware or I've done something wrong.

I'm not even rooted. I have s-off and unlocked, but that's it. I'm sure it was working a few days ago, so maybe it's something at HTC's end.
I am as stock as stock can be, and noticed this morning that the app is "unable to retrieve data from the server". I had assumed this had occurred since I received the 4.3 upgrade a few days ago (EE)... perhaps not?
That is exactly what happened to me. It was working fine till yeasterday and its says that it cannot rretrieve data from the server.
Let's hope it's only HTC bug and it will be fixed.

Response from HTC:
Thank you for contacting HTC regarding your HTC device My name is Michael and I am a Technical Support Agent for the HTC Written Team. I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing difficulties with your connection. I have noticed that you updated the phone recently, this could have created the problem, a lot of the time updates reconfigure the system completely, add some new features and erase some old ones. Maybe there was just a problem with the server (connection). Should you wish to continue your correspondence via email then please reply using the link below. Kind Regards,
Well that's not very helpful, is it?!
Typical.
Looks like any one can be a tech support in HTC.
I'll ask question in firmware thread, m

Is there anyone that else having issues beaming apps or webpages to other devices via NFC after updating to 4.4.2? I get a transfer error message that says unable to transfer URL via NFC. Sprint and HTC have both said they haven't heard of any known issues... Until I updated the store demo HTC one and showed the repair technician. I guess I'm trying to find out if these are isolated incidents or something that will be a known issue.

Having the same issue here, though I did not test NFC before the 4.4.2 update. I can receive URLs but I can't send them. Sending pictures and videos works though. Running stock Vodafone branded HTC One

It worked on 4.3. On the store demo phone, we had tested it to make sure it worked before the update and verified that it stopped working after. The Sprint tech said he had submitted a trouble ticket. I also reported it to HTC and they are "going to call" me back in 3-5 days. Just curious as to how long before they fix it.

I'll let you know when mine gets fixed as well. Also, do you have any problems with audio in Skype? Just noticed I can't hear anyone since the update, but they can hear me... weird
I tested Skype. Seems ok to me. Then again I had uninstalled it and reinstalled it for something else prior to you saying something about it. Another thing I noticed with this update is that the 4G icon will disappear while on a call. I can still use data while on the call. It's just that before it let me know data was available. Now it was making me think that doing both wasn't an option anymore.

Turns out the Skype thing was because of the other device. As far as I can see, this update brought us only bad things. NFC not fully working, battery life sucks compared to 4.3... Only improvements are easy change of SMS default app and some visual improvements. I want my battery life back!
I don't have a Sprint HTC One, but after the upgrade to kit kat, NFC isn't working for me.

Does it give you an error message or just doesn't work? I'm assuming you have the NFC toggle set to on, right? Can you provide any specific details? Like does it make the sound effect at all? Any indication that it is at least trying to work?

It gives me an error message, NFC is on, and it works because it shows the error message when I touch both phones. It's very laggy, look at my thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2660552
