This method requires root privileges!
From root explorer or similar program delete these folders and file
/data/system/sensors
/data/misc/sensors
/persist/sensors/sns.reg
Restart phone
Enjoy

You made a lot of people VERY happy today! Thanks for this fix.
So just out of curiosity, I came from an HTC phone, and I'm just learning this one, but I can't seem to find any of those files on my phone, I go to my root folder, and my /data and /persist folders are both empty, and ideas as to why that would be?
Nevermine, I found the problem with locating them, unfortunetly the root explorer I used on my HTC isn't working with my nexus too well -_-

The problem is caused flashing ported rom, but it is already known from the 4.4.2 update. A large number of those who are updated from 4.4 to 4.4.2 lost sensors ... I'm glad that I helped a huge number of N5 users. :good:

Great... Just sent my N5 to repair a week/two ago because of Sensors lol after trying to port an Xperia Rom XD.
Awkwardly I used the sensor libs from stock Rom and modified stock kernel so I don't know how I came across it.
Even flashed stock factory image so I thought it was my hardware :/

This thread was originally started by GalaxyUser, GalaxyUser has also done the initial port of the ROM so give all credit to him.
I am just here to continue the great idea GalaxyUser had in mind and to establish a ROM of sense 5.0 that will actually boot for our device.
This is Sense 5.0 ported from HTC Butterfly and HTC One
BOTH OF THE ROMS DO NOT BOOT YET
The main problem in the port are the lib files, and also the fact that we are not sure which lib files actually have the problem. Also a new kernel must be compiled before the ROM could be considered "working". Therefore I am looking for a professional who would be willing to put some time and effort into this ROM.
HTC Butterfly port: Download Here
HTC One port: Download Here
This ROM should NOT brick your device, instead it will just boot back into recovery. This has been tested by many users
Yet neither me or GalaxyUser are responsible for any bricked Nexus 4s
Please provide me with logcats and use this thread to discuss possible problems of this port and solutions for these problems
Hope we get this to work. Maybe this year.
I am also willing to donate to the developers.
We are waiting for your great work. Go on !!
Seems interesting. Best of luck to anyone who wants to take this on!
I'll take a look later and help if possible. Thanks for the new thread.
Update: I've tried some stuff here, but it seems is beyond my capabilities.
If anyone is concerned, I managed to get a sense 4+ port to get to the bootanimation...No adb though. :/
Good luck guys. Sense 5 is awesome.

Always had a sift spot for the HTC ROMs especially after viper got ahold of the ruu.
You need to really work on the build.prop as well I was told . to call out certain sensors and location of the files . if you edit it wrong it won't boot and the ril port is the hardest .
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
You can upload to devhost.com I use it for most of my work, but for small files I just use Google drive

I think i clicked on the dl link for the droid dna port but it downloaded the htc one build. however i downloaded the file in 5minutes and i never thougt that mega has that good servers. I looked into the build.prop and it seems untouched
for example:
ro.build.project=M7_UL_JB_50_S
Click to collapse
And the build.prop also includes a code for HTC CID's which are not necceserely needed for this phone
EDIT: Yes the ROMs uploaded on mega are not different they're bot M7 ports. And the build.prop is not untouched a few changes have been made. The question is if those are enough.

I have a better idea. I'll ul the rom so you guys can work on it. be careful. When you flash this, you MUST flash the stock rom via bootloader to go back.
Link is uploading to mega.co.nz 4 min remaining.
This has got me totally demented. I need sky go to keep up with the footie when I'm away from home. I dunno what detection routines sky go uses but it sucks lol.
I've tried unrooting various ROMs using supersu to no avail.
So now I've installed multirom and slimkat 4.4, tried titanium complained about no root. Tried a few other apps with the same result, excellent.
Tried sky go, as usual it teases me, everything is looking good then the dreaded message "sky go is not supported on rooted android device"
So how the f**k can sky go detect it but nothing else can

Sorry for the double post. Tapatalk :-\
the only way to get it working is to have it completely stock, any kernel/rom thats not stock will cause the error so if you have the superuser app its still rooted

I suspect they're doing something crazy like checksumming the system partition. That would explain also why even minor OS updates render it unusable for weeks (4.4 support? Dream on..), and it only works on a limited subset of phones.
I reckon it's possible to make one that works on most stuff but any attempt at decompiling/recompiling the APK breaks it as it also internally checks itself to make sure it's not been modified, and I haven't dug far enough to remove that check.

This build is an Alpha and it is buggy.
MIUI is designed for phones so there is still some phone stuff in this ROM like the phone app and signal bars in the status bar.
Please don't flash this if you don't know what you are doing.

Always attach an md5 hash with your upload links in cases like thus so we can verify that the mirror/s we find can be authenticated to have the original file.
For those wanting to try here is the mirror.

Flashes and boots just fine. Problem is all the setup pages are in Chinese. And you have to enter tour phone number to receive an activation code...which you never receive.
I couldn't get it past the setup so I can't report on functionality.
OP, if I'm doing something wrong please let me know as I'd love to test this to help you with future releases.

Yes, when there are two Lockscreens (what happens after any Update) it will choose the default one, not the CM11S, I thought I solved this with a backupscript (named "01_lockscreen.sh" and located in "/system/addon.d/") where I implemented it shall delet the default Lockscree after a flash ... but it seems it's not working.. I will try again

Because it's a port from a LG G3 Phone and Ports from a Phone that are working on more devices (like on the whole CM System) should be postet in the Devicespezific part of the Forum, because otherwise you have to post it in every part of the forum of every device which it is working with
So I think you should search in the LG G3 forum for a Port of this function, because people which are here mostly have the OnePlus One and not the LG G3
I don't want to attack you, I just want to say that you maybe find more things in the LG G3 Forum.
Thanks!
