Hey everyone.
I thought it kinda sucked that our phones didn't come with the Extreme Power Saving mode so I did some tinkering around with the smali and here you have it!
I flashed this on the completely stock odexed ROM using TWRP 2.7.0.0 and it worked perfectly.
Enjoy!
PS. I'm not liable if you blow up your phone. Make a nandroid!
Here's a link to google drive, XDA is being weird about uploading it.
Just hit File ---> Download

Lol i updated the OP. Patience young padawan!
Only caveat I've noticed so far is that it takes a little bit for apps that rely on background sync to reengage. For example, if you go into the play store it doesn't see that background sync is on unless I kill the app.

That's just stupid. Oh well. I've never run stock longer than it takes to get a recovery installed anyway. It's just dumb that carriers eliminate main features of a device. I thought that was one of it's bog selling points.

If this is the "new" HTC, I'm thoroughly impressed so far. The phone itself is top notch, the unlock actually allows us to flash every part of the phone (unlike on the EVO 4G LTE), and now their follow through with source code has been timely. I for one am very happy of their change of direction.

That was fast! Maybe a new kernel will convince me to root now. The phone is so sweet stock, compared to my OG Evo. I just need to squeeze more battery life out of this thing. A new custom kernel will definitely help that. Things should get exciting soon!

Can you be a little bit more specific. There is a solution for all but Sprint versions. Is there a Sprint specific kernel which supports the logo?
Seems as Nexus owners we're not the first to get the update this time. It could turn out to be an elaborate fake but probably genuine as Google are an experimenting company and have released two flagship devices with a vanilla Android option (although they're not "nexus"). From what I've read there doesn't appear to be any big changes (if any actually visible) and more fixes/optimisations.

Flashed it on my GS4 and working like a charm (and it's the international version of course). No root yet, so i'll switch back to 4.2.2 to get my apps lol (can't restore through TB Pro duh).
It's just a leak so don't worry about it. The Nexus devices will definitely get the 4.3 first.

Cool, I'm another few months away from a handset upgrade and so it definitely makes these phones an even better proposition, having access to stock android goodness. Was impressed seeing how quickly someone had put a vanilla 4.2.2 ROM together for the HTC One, then seen this and was very surprised.
Its good to see really as it shows that Google and the handset makers are finally getting why people like android so much and that is the option of choice and customisation. It may not be the exact reason for doing so but they must be conscious of it. As the last I/O conference showed, it was very developer orientated
