Hi, I'm relatively new to android and I'm already experiencing an annoying problem. It seems my Xperia SP have a fake adobe flash player redirection virus. Because of that I can't connect to the play store and can't update my apps. I already had this kind of problem on my PC before and I solved it pretty easily. But because this is an android phone, I can't do much about it. I already tried clearing caches and even installing kaspersky. But those two didn't work. I looked up in the net that I can solve this problem by factory resetting my phone. I want to avoid that as much as I can. Is there a way to get rid of this virus without resetting my phone? If so, please tell me. Thanks before.
NB : My phone is not rooted.

Hello,
I have recently begun to experience a major problem with my G1 running the latest builds of Cyanogenmod (currently 4.2.11 but I have had the problem with the last few versions). What happens is that for some reason some apps force close right when I attempt to start them (Google Voice, or any app that has a camera running when it opens) and other apps can not connect to the internet. When I open apps like Pandora or Wapedia it says "A network error occured" or "Could not connect to the servers."
The weirdest part is that not all apps are affected. I can still access the internet through the default browser, and the gmail app. Also the default camera and camcorder apps do not force close and work perfectly. In addition these problems do not arrise for some time after a reinstall.
I have wiped and reinstalled different versions and even started over flashing an HTC update and then returning to a cyanogenmod version. I have wiped all the partitions on my SD card for apps2SD and recreated them. However due to the nature of the problem I have guessed it is some problem with Apps2SD but I cant figure out what it is. I have run the fix_permissions script, and attempted to remove/rebuild the market/app cache.
If anyone knows anything about how to fix this or has experience this before themselves any help would be really awesome. If any more information is needed to help diagnose this problem I will gladly post it.
Thanks again and sorry for the wall of text.
Sorry for self-bumping my post but I would really like some help because I have done everything I know of to fix the problem and looked around the internet for help but I haven't found anything similar to my problem.
Thanks
Im having this problem too and i have no idea what to do about it lol
Good Morning.
Anyone has problems with WhatsApp? I can install and register the software, but im stuck in the creating favorites section and there's no way to cancel that, i've already try to reinstall the software but the problem remains.
Thanks in advance.
i have the same problem =(
i have the same problem, my phone is hd7 mango
Idem with LG-E900H
it did it automatically for me...i would suggest the old cliche method...uninstall, restart and then again download nd install...
Re:
Already did that process, but the problem remains, also in the review for the application on marketplace several people also complains about this issue.
Get WhatsApp to work
Hi everyone, maybe a good news for you :-D
I had the same problem, installed, reinstalled Whatsapp on my HD7 and nothing worked, still the same old "Creating favorites" ...
But now, after a HARD RESET (completly earasing the phone and back to factory default), I connected to my Live account and installed Whatsapp. Now it work, although it's only getting the Live contacts ... but better than nothing.
I think the issue was in my contact list, or from other apps I installed.
Hope it helps !
Best,
Reza
Hi, I am having a problem installing apps via the Google play store on my PC. When I try to do this, I get an error on the phone "Error while downloading "App Name". "App Name" could not be downloaded due to an error. (906).
If I click on the error, it takes me to the app on Google play on the phone where I can successfully download and install it directly from the phone. So I have a workaround, but the phone itself is second hand so I am worried it is faulty and causing this problem (and therefore who knows what other problems might be around the corner?).
As a bit of background info, the phone came rooted on 534 firmware and I updated to 257 via PC companion. I knew this would lose root but I don't want the phone rooted anyway (don't use any rooted apps etc). However SuperSU was installed and now I can't get rid of it (unless I downgrade, root again, then remove SuperSU and upgrade once more). I don't know if the fact it was rooted has caused the problem, or perhaps the upgrade while rooted and now having SuperSU stuck on my phone is causing the problem (I've never bothered with rooting and the like for years so while I know about it, I do not know the ins and outs of rooting and it's consequences).
My question is: Does anyone else have this problem or is it likely to be a fault with the phone?
Try to clear market data and or cache.
Is it for paid apps ? You have access in your country ?
Sometime I have market error with a yellow triangle in notif bar but it is always because of network connections/ wifi. Once reconnected it is ok.
Thanks for the reply.
I've tried clearing cache and data, I've even factory reset the phone but still no good. It is for all apps, paid and free. The network connection seems to be solid (or at least it would be an awful coincidence if every time for 100+ app installs when I try to install from the pc the network happens to be down, but when I then go straight to the phone and install from there the network is back up again).
Just a question, you want to install app via your comp on your phone when it's pluged to USB cable?
Personally i use google Chrome to Phone for sending immediatly links to my phone, that works also with google app link, that will automatically launch the google store on the app you selected before sending the link.
Also rooting your phone is really necessary? Many people root their phone for doing nothing really necessary...
Nope I don't want to do this while my phone is plugged in to the computer, the phone is in my pocket while I am trying to use the Google app store on my computer to install dozens of apps to the phone.
I know rooting the phone isn't necessary, but, as I explain, the phone was already rooted and I have no need of root. Whether the phone is or isn't rooted I don't mind either way, I was just mentioning the root info in case that is a clue as to why I am having this problem.
No offense intended (really!) but I'm not concerned with how you personally use Chrome to install apps to your phone. I am explaining a problem I have with my phone and wondering if it is a known issue that other people have or whether it is a fault with my phone. I have a workaround that I can use as I explained in the first post, but I am less concerned with what the problem is and more concerned with why the problem is there in the first place (as it may be mean I'm going to run into more problems in the future).
Anywho I can only assume it isn't a common problem, so I'll investigate further.
Cheers
Dear all,
I have a serious problem.
In my lap Top suddenly when using browser to go to www.google.com I get a fake message that I need to update my flash Player and I am not allowed to do anything unless I click ok.
This however seems to have affected also my HTC ONE who strangely enough seem to have the same problem.
The problem persistis even at the use of 3G.
Also this seems to be causing my ONE not to be able many times to connect to wifi.
I ll let IT friends to take care of this on my PC but for my HTC ONE I could really need your help and advice.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Wipe it fully. I'm not sure if it is really malware, but to be safe, just flash the RUU for your device.
This can also be caused by apps that you downloaded from your browser or blackmart for example
You can just reflash your rom when rooted and wipe
Other possibility is to make a factory reset
But you will lose your data
Hi everyone, has anyone encountered problems updating or downloading apps through the google play store? Mine doesn't download or update apps for some reason. It stuck on "downloading". My phone is tencent version flashed/fingerprint WW, software version 1907.33. I'm wondering updating to 1907.35 will solve this problem or is it just Google Play app?
I've tried clearing the cache and reinstall but doesn't solve the problem.
Asus ROG Phone 2
Yes unfortunately I have tried every suggestion know to man to resolve the Google Play Store Stopped Working issue and nothing worked. I factory reset the phone 3 times, had the bios and firmware flashed and nothing worked. I ended up returning the device for a full refund through Amazon. My best advice is run. Something in the software is corrupt.
Mine got stuck aswell. It would download half or less of the app and then hangs stuck. But I managed to fix my problem by running the mobile manager and ran both RAM cleaning and cache. After that Google play store worked again.
Is this only with the tenchen version or even on the global Strix version to?
So far, no problems found with Google Play and I have the tencent version too, the only difference I see between yours and mine is the fingerprint version which is CN
Not sure if it's the same issue, but since android 9 on thie and another phone, I've intermittently had the same problem.
It seems to be related to the play store wanting to update itself, and for some reason with my disabling of play books, docs etc, and with my withdrawing of certain permissions from some of the gapps it just wouldn't do it.
Try reenabling any stock gapps which have been disabled, and in the reset options in settings, select "reset app preferences". After that, reboot your phone.
That's worked for me in similar situations previously.
