[Q] P970 4.4. and Instagram - LG Optimus Black

I.
My p970 came back from warranty, and they flashed 4.0.4 official.
Now my problem is that I already made a factory reset, installed, and reinstalled Instagram, and in the part to edit a picture before share it, no picture appears in the frame. Now taken by camera, or choosen by gallery.
Someone with Intagram installed, have this issue? What's the problem? But taking the photo, it works, and all my phone is working well with any app.
Note: In Title where is 4.4. should be 4.0.4

camera not going back to apps that called it forth?

I seem to have this problem with most apps that prompt the camera to be used. For example, the program "A World of Photo" (you send a random photo from your location to someone else in the world, and they send one to someone, etc) will automatically prompt my camera to come up so I can take the said picture, but after the pic is taken, it just goes back ready to take another pic as if I had opened the camera app. It doesn't go back to A World of Photo as I am assuming it should.
I am on CM 5.0.5.3 (wasn't feeling 5.6) and using the desire camera. Is the desire camera the problem, and how might I fix?
thx

Try reverting to stock camera and see if the problem persists.
Is that as easy as pushing the stock htccamera apk back in the system app folder or do i need to do something with the existing desire app? Sorry, still getting used to android.
edit: and why do I keep getting read-only filesystem errors when trying to do so?
edit2: ok just needed a remount - got it copied over. Now I have two camera apps lol.
edit3: yup it was the desire camera apps fault... well I have dual option now I guess so it does "work" with the stock camera app. Work in progress!
thx

[Q] camera doesn't work

Hi,
I have black screen with two icons on the right side (i can't click them) when I try to turn on camera.
Vignette stuck on starts with an "initializing camera".
I flashed firmware with Sony Ericsson Update Services - no effect.
I had rooted phone month ago and camera works fine, but I'm not sure about uninstall some files (facebook, rollercoaster, etc.), maybe I something removed more by accident... It's possible that I haven't some apk ?
I had the exact same problem. I had to send it for repair. They installed a new camera.
ahhh

[Q] Messaging Issue

I searched all around but cannot find any threads about this issue. I just updated to the official kitkat 4.4.2 NC2 build and I am having an issue with the stock messaging app. When I'm in the conversations list and go into one of the conversations, it lags for a few seconds, the page loads fine but it takes about 5 seconds for the text messaging bubbles to load and contact pictures and all that stuff to load up. I don't think it lagged like this before, but I don't have anything to reference it to, I don't know anyone else with a Note 3, let alone one on the 4.3 build. I went from the official 4.3 build completely unrooted and stock and took the OTA upgrade. This is really the only place I can find any laagyness in my phone after the upgrade. Is everyone else's phone doing the same thing, or is it just mine?
I'm not looking for a fix or anything, I know not being rooted means about all I can do is clear cache through stock recovery or clear app data through settings. I just want to know if everyone's does this or if it's just me before I try a factory reset.

Just checked and no problem, the stock camera app opens and is ready in less than a second. The current rom I have on my (originally) at&t model is the korean open 409N also.
Maybe check the lg sites for a newer (or even older) version of the camera app? If it's not the app, and everything is pretty much stock, it may unfortunately be a hardware issue...
Hello, any reference where and what exactly firmware I needed? I mean I am fine on downgrading to pie but didn't know the process of doing it. Btw here's the image of my version of my V40

I think you've misunderstood. I'm not suggesting you change the firmware (I have the exact same firmware you do (well I have 30d and u have 30e - a security update), and no problem with camera app).
I was suggesting you try a different version of the CAMERA APP. LG makes changes to the camera app and makes the *.apk available to download, you'll have to search for LG camera app to find it.
It does seem very unusual you'd be experiencing such a lag when opening the camera app though. You'd almost have to bet that something else you've installed (not stock) that is causing the delay.

Well, in the interest of helping you narrow it down, I can tell you I just used lgup to install the latest korean open kdz (the one you're on, 30e). My camera app opens as it always has with other roms, in less than a second.
so, anyway, I think you can rule out it being anything to do with the specific rom...

thank you currently downgraded to pie but seems the problem exist. It's a camera hardware fault.
I had a verizon V40 and the camera went to crap with the A10 upgrade. Viewfinder was laggy, very similar to what you describe. Also, I think it was telephoto that would show parallel lines across any bright \ white objects. This was a stock rom, stock cam app, and the problem continued after multiple factory resets. Found it hard to believe it was a hardware issue, as it happened immediately after the A10 upgrade. I second year promised the phone...while I did get a brand new phone, it was the US unlocked version. So, as you know, that means no advanced calling (video) within the verizon dialer app and no vvmail.
Found that this GCam mod works. Install the app, then copy the XML (you have to remove the ".txt" at the end, xda wont let me upload it otherwise) to "/internal storage/GCam/Configs/" (make the folders) and then open the app, double-tap the black space to the right of the shutter button, then choose "restore". The app should then work perfectly, with all the cameras available, and no lag in the viewfinder.
hello the problem is solved by replacing the camera. its a hardware fault
