With the original Sammyrom it's possible to move apps to the SDcard within Settings>Apps
Which app can you endorse to use when I'm using a Unofficial ROM where this option I can't find?
I know when moving apps some widgets won't work but it will at least give me some more internal storage
Thanks for any clue on this

Using Root Explorer I am unable to find the proper folder for this hack.
I can find it no problem on Phiremod 5.1 installed to internal.
What ROM are you running, and is it internal or external?
Where do you struggle (can you see any of the folders)?

As my sig says I am running 0.6.8 NookieFroyo on SD. I don't want to write to the eMMC so I can boot stock or a custom ROM.
I can see the folders but there is no init.d folder in the etc folder. Do you think I can just add it?
Sorry man, I don't see your sig via Tapatalk...
Just adding an init.d folder won't help, unless your system has something looking for it. I'm not sure how the SD roms are built, so you may want to try and contact the dev...

Hey Galaxy Mini People
I have installed Creeds latest rom and i am having a few issues with the following apps:
Facebook
hotmail
whatsapp
go backup
Droidwall
How do i get them to move to the SD card? I have apps 2 SD PRO. But i still cannot move them?
also when i open a2sdgui (sd 2 apps) it says it could not start and then lists 3 reasons.
So any ideas how i can move absolutely everything to the SD card?
Thanks
Vizzy

download move to sd enabler and 90% of the apps will moveable to sdcard even launchers and widgets,
and about sd-ext
first partition your sdcard through cwm (everything will be wiped)
after partitioning download link2sd from play store and move apps to sd-ext with the help of that app

I'm practically out of internal storage space and I've only got a handful of apps installed. I'm confused about 'apps2sd' and 'apps2ext', I've tried searching around this forum and other web sites but this has partly added to that confusion.
Firstly, 'apps2sd' and 'apps2ext', are these actually generic phrases that can be used to refer to several different apps / features / methods as opposed to just one app or feature of Android?
Also, I understand that from Froyo onwards some apps2sd capabilities is built in to the OS but this is clearly not enough for probably most people with an S5830i. I've already got the maximum number of my current apps that the OS and apps will allow, stored on my SD card.
So I was thinking of creating an ext3 partition on my SD card for the purpose of moving my apps there. What I'd like to know is once I've done this how do I move all apps, including the data and Davlik cache portions of the apps, onto my SD's ext3 partition? None of the apps I can see on the Android market do this except S2E which requires the CM7/9 ROM.
So can I actually get any apps2ext functionality with the stock ROM at all or is this just not possible?
Can't I symlink the appropriate directories and just move the files? My phone is rooted by the way.
Link2sd works on dis fone.

Thanks I'll try giving that a go when I sort another issue out that I now have!
Link2SD app is the solution for low memory on this sgai. I have now more than 60 apps installed and still 40 MB internal memory. See also www.link2sd.info/faq

Does insufficient storage mean 'USB storage' not enough'? Any way to solve this without root?

Other alternatives would be to move your apps from Phone to SD card (external memory card), every downloaded apps you have (look for it in Settings>applications>all, see if you can move the apps from Phone to SD card

But my device memory still has 202mb. The memory is 1g, I think this 'device memory' just part of 16g storage, is that correct?

there is a guide for bloatwares

if you are on stock rom.. u can uninstall some apps and free some system memory..
OP has a legitimate issue that has nothing to do with actual lack of space.
I had the problem before.
I cleared dalvik for the problem app under data/dalvik-cache.
That worked for me.

Note: You need root access.
As you know, all big games are installed automatically in you internal SD (phone memory), I try a lot of apps (link2sd, etc) but it doesn't work, the solution: use this app developed by an XDA member:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1410262
It's very easy to use, the only trick it's that you have to maintain pressed the path field to browse your phone folders, I recommend that recreate the folder structure of your internal SD in your external SD, copy all the data files and create the binds.
I test this app in stock ICS. and stock JB 4.1.2.
This is too old and bugy
Use foldermount for better result

It work flawlessly to me and it's free, foldermount free version have the restriction of 3 binds.
