BUGS:
The headset/headphones are not detected at all! Tried the crappy Sony Headset, it would not detect a headphone being connected at all. Music plays through speaker only
The camera app can take pictures at maximum resolution of 5MP only!
The ROM is pretty heavy on the battery.
The carrier name in settings always crashed.

Oh, i will make sure to fix headset. Camera should be the same as CM one, is it a problem there as well?
Mine has OK battery, not the best but it gets me through the day.

The camera can capture at a maximum resolution of 5MP only, even in the camera settings the maximum resolution is 5MP, whereas in CM10.1, the maximum resolution is 13MP.
The battery life is now better after hours of burning in the new ROM. ROM's quite intrusive at first but one gets used to it, Overall it's very smooth.
Edit: I have posted a picture of the camera app settings where the max resolution is 5MP.

I forgot to replace the camera with the CM one. If you use Gallery2.apk from 10.1 13MP will be max resolution.
Will fix in next release.

I uninstalled both MiGallery.apk and Gallery2.apk and installed GalleryGoogle.apk and camera is working great now; 13 mp, photosphere, panaroma, HDR all working.

I get status error when installing with updater-script with the line assert prop, after i deleted that line and installed the rom ,it installed but after restarting the phone, it is blank, no display, i had to flash offical rom back to stock to mak it working. wat am i doing wrong
I have a c5502 xperia zr with 4.1.2 rom rooted and cwm , with locked bootloader

This ROM requires unlocked bootloader, because it uses CM-kernel.

thanks for your help, it is very good rom, except for the headset issue, hope there is a fix to it now. i dont want to remove the rom, its awsome

New build has been posted. No differences except updated MIUI base, i am still trying to fix the headset issue

Has anyone tried it yet and does it offer any performance improvement over official 4.2.2, any benchmarks?

Hello,
Just tried the latest build. Headphones are not detected but the camera can take pictures up to 12.8Mp.
I think I'm gonna go back to a stock rom until the headphones bug is solved.

I tried it and despite unlocked bootloader, flashed boot.img from archive (CWM works well, clean install, wiped everything several times) ... ended stuck during first boot on MIUI logo.

Great Work... ROM is butter smooth and works perfectly. I noticed one small issue... the Super User access is by default granted even if we turn off the permissions from security center. In short any application that requests super user access is granted with out any notification. Nevertheless not an issue exactly but considering the amount of viruses that Android has it could pose a threat some day.

Does anyone have a mirror on MEGA for this ROM? It's extremely slow to download off Dev Host.

Every time I restart the phone, i have to log into all the apps like Facebook and email. Any idea why this is happening?

bro.. the possible reason for this is.. ur recovery is nt updated to latest version... for this reason this error might happen.. i have suffered such kind of issue

Good one. needs more tweaking.
First of all, I salute the efforts of the person re-building this rom for Gionee M2.
I was fascinated by its great looks and interface. I could not remove it, but I had to.
Because, my magnetic sensor and digital compass sensors are not awake in this ROM. Somehow, I can not navigate without this functionality.
I loved the interface vary much but With all pain :crying: , I reverted back to my old, boring ROM.
If you tell me how to correct this, or if you can just pack the User interface and theme into a ne Upadate.zip I will be glad to remember your help. As the kitkat update is fast approaching for Gionee M2 (Sept 5th), I hope, I can use it (UI update zip) in that version as well.

I am not able to find "Install zip from sdcard" option when I reboot my Micromax Canvas Turbo A250 to recovery. Do I need to do anything extra to get that option?

CyanogenMod is an aftermarket firmware for a number of cell phones based on the open-source Android operating system. It offers features not found in the official Android based firmwares of vendors.

I think you are trying to install from stock recovery ! U should install a custom recovery. ( U need CWM/TWRP recovery). Get it from general thread and find procedure there

Could not be able to boot CM v0.17 after flashing the rom. Struck on micromax logo. Flashing the rom is successful but not booting. Don't know why. Have tried many time. Still strucks on micromax logo.

please fix first RIL (Calls) then Wi-Fi

houston!
I flashed in custom recovery (philz cwm). And it boots to the cyanogenmod screen with the circle swirling around. After it stays on that screen for about 2min at the most, it tells me that the encryption is unsuccessful. It says i need to perform a factory reset and has a button about halfway down the screen that says "reset phone." But i did the factory reset in recovery , yet i cannot get any further than what i just explained. There is a good chance that it is my own fault though, being that this is my first full ROM that ive installed. Ive done various tweaks and mods on different devices up until this point, but i figured i might need a pointer or two somewhere in this process. So, any ideas on where the noob may have screwed up? Thanks in advance guys.

I'm gonna take a shot in the dark here and say that the fact I flashed a cm rom without also installing gapps may have a lot to do with why I had no luck on this. Hey, I can admit it when I'm a dumbass.....but can I get a quick yes or no on that please? I don't mind teaching myself and I don't mind learning the hard way. I'd rather not be sheltered anyway. But a hint as to whether or not I'm learning the correct information sure as hell wouldnt hurt. Thanks to anyone that helps. And to those that are too good to help: this is just a hobby to me and I got plenty of time.
