So im on an Even More Plus plan (no contract) and Im in a flexpay payment plan. I want to change to a post payment plan so that I can utilize google voice as a voice mail client and a few other things. I keep getting the run around when calling tmobile, some tell me that you cant have a post payment plan off contract and other say you can. I keep getting disconnect (by them not me) when i get someone who says I can mix a post payment with a even more plus.
So perhaps someone here can help me, can you have a post payment plan off contract (Even more plus) ?

I am looking for the very same answer. I was on the phone with T-Mobile and they told me I have to wait 6 months before I could even attempt to change my account. My credit is not worthy I am told.
Any further answers on the T-Mobile No Contract Plans is appreciated.
Miss using my Google Voice services directly with my Nexus One on T-Mobile.
Yes... I am not on a contract on an Even More Plus plan, and I pay at the end of the month.
To switch over from flex pay to post paid with the no contract even more plus plan you need to have had your service activated for at least 6 months, your account must be in good standing with on time payments each month, and you have to be on the list they have for people that are eligible to switch (you should be on the list if you meet all the above criteria).
When I called up customer service to make the switch they said that I was not on the list yet because I was in my 6th month of service. They said the only way I could make the switch is if they run a credit check and give me a new phone number. I argued for quite a while that I would not switch my number but would be willing to have a credit check run. I got no where with that so I went to my local Tmobile store.
The people at the tmobile store were very helpful and came up with an elaborate work around that involved them being on the phone with customer service for over an hour. They ran my credit, created a new account for me (with a new number) and set it up on post pain even more plus. Then they canceled my old account, ported my old number to the new account and now I'm good to go.
In hind sight, if I had known it was going to be such a difficult process I would have waited another month to wait for my name to show up on the eligible list (they were pretty sure my name would show up at the beginning of my 7th month of service).
If you are already on the eligible list then the process should be relatively painful. I would recommend going into an actual tmobile store; they seem to have the ability to accomplish many more things, especially in unique situations like mine.
So, yes you can switch from no contract prepaid even more plus to no contract post paid even more plus one way or another so that you can use conditional call forwarding and Google Voicemail.
Good to know that flex pay doesn't allow google Voice because I use it religiously while I am at work with no service. It's nice to get missed call notifications via WiFi and able to listen to the messages without having service.
Nice feature.
That's actually why I left T-Mobile. I couldn't use GV, which is incredibly cool. That and it took forever to lock onto my location, even when outside. This was all on my N1. Went back to the evil that is AT&T.
I am able to Israel gv with even more plus with no problem. They only thing not allowed is to have forward calls

Yup, and I meet all the criteria, and perhaps just going to a tmobile store will be better then trying to call 611.
Ok, so on finally getting a rep that speaks clear English I was able to find out that I dont qualify for post pay because my 7 months of perfect payment history don't meet the 6 months requirement. Huh? So I guess i gotta wait a month cause their eligibility only updates once a month and they are always behind by a month?
Anyone else have experiences with this ummm....predicament?
I was looking to buy a HD7 (my HD2 died), and it looks like if I get a 2 year contract extension I can get one for $199 (after $50 mail in rebate). I currently use the $5.99 tzones, and it is not asking me sign up for a Web Service yet. This is what it actually says when I go to check out:
This phone requires a Web service in order to access the Internet, e-mail, and more. After you receive your new phone, you’ll need to visit My T-Mobile to add a Web service.
So, do you think that means that I can still use tzones? Thanks!
I'm assuming that your 5.99 tzone plan is grandfathered, correct?
Since you said that you are using your 2 year upgrade extension, I believe that tmobile will force you to upgrade to the 30 dollar data plan regardless if you buy it in store or online. The only way I know in which you don't have to buy the 30 dollar data plan is if you buy the the phone outright.
When I upgraded to my hd7, tmobile required that I have the 30 dollar data plan and not my grandfathered plan.
Yes, that is what I was talking about. It was just strange that the Tmobile website is not "forcing" me to chose the $30 plan until after I receive the phone.
Actually, when you order from the mobile website, at check out it will tell you which data plan you want; the 200mb or the unlimited..
I actually bought my HD7 from BestBuy & I had the $10 unlimited internet on the phone I had before I ugraded. When I bought my HD7 the guy was like, Oh! You already have the $10 unlimited internet, did you want to keep that or get the $30? I asked if it was going to stay unlimited & he said yes. So I kept it! There was a T-Mobile rep next to him & she said that the $10 one works with ALL smartphones.

u are lucky to get a rep who didn't add it without your permission.
I went ahead and purchased it and they never asked me to change my plan. I'm crossing my fingers it stays that way.
Just so you all know, I just received my phone. I did purchase through tmobile.com and did NOT have to upgrade my plan from tzones to the $30 plan. I received it today and it is working great!
Just a heads-up for those who want to upgrade to this phone w/ grandfathered t-zones... I went to bestbuy.com and chose upgrade for this phone and they only charged me $99 for the phone and only asked if I have a compatible data plan (which is t-zones of course) and had me check-out without forcing me the $30/$15 data plan - that was more than a month ago. T-zones has been working like a charm, letting me watch netflix and t-mobile tv without hiccups and of course all the other data requiring programs. Checking out my speed at "mobile speed test" downloading 2mb had me pegged at 6mbps in North Jersey area. I just got my bill and t-mobile just charged me $18 upgrade fee - and that's it. All the other services remain the same! I don't know if it's still working but for those who want to upgrade it's worth to try.
pierce97, can you confirm if T-zones is still working on your HTC HD7? Thanks.
My hd7 is still working with T-Zones... and whenever I visit mytmobile there's nothing on my data downloads even though I have been watvhing a lot of Netflix and Youtube!!!

Windows Mobile & Windows Phone Devices
July 21, 2011 - Okay...let me lay this to rest... Windows Mobile 5.x, 6.x devices have been accessing the Internet long before Apple, Android and Blackberry showed up on the scene; despite it now occupying less than 5% of the devices used; it remains legacy for any of us who continue to use the OS to include Windows Phone 7. There may be some loyal and longtime customers of T-Mobile using other devices; the general rule is if you are on a grandfather data plan like T-Zones and you're using a Windows device; you're good to go. Please note the web site says Web Service; it does not clarify what type as others devices does. I use a Rhodium and T-Zones performs perfect at 3G speeds where 3G is available. I plan to upgrade to the HD2 which multiple OSs to include WP7 can be flashed and continue with T-Zones; however I have talked to Tier 2/3...PDA/RIM support and have been told as long as you stick to Windows devices you may remain in T-Zones...whether it's unlimited, I don't care...I think data plans are reaching the realm of the ridiculous when it comes to prices...though I don't use mine as my main internet connection.
Any ideas to sign up as a new customer on Sprint and port a phone number from an existing Sprint account?
Background:
I was using my brother's account. Initially, he got a nice discount through work, then his work offered to pay for his service but with another carrier. So he let me use his discounted Sprint line, which is still in his name except I pay that bill. I'm interested in the HTC One, Sprint is offering $100 off for new customers, but I don't want to change my phone number from the one I've been using. Sprint's chat service said this can't be done after discussing several scenarios... And that's fair because more people like me would abuse the system. Just wondering if there's something we didn't look at. If not, no problem. I'll either come bite the bullet because this seems like an awesome phone or I'll wait for the next best thing that will support Sprint's 800 Mhz LTE network for 2014.
Thanks

dont think that will work. if you port back within 30 days they reactivate previous acct/contract. by the time youre considered eligible for "new" pricing the promo will be over.
Does it not work for add a line either? If not, I believe wireflyfriends.com does.

is ur contract up? , i just did that and they gave me a $100 credit for each line i per-ordered it for. Just called cancellations and explained that i would like to stay with sprint and upgrade the the one but if im not getting the port in credit, i would cancel my line. (all lines are out of contract). The rep just said hold on... came back in 2 min and said she applied the credits to my current invoice and i could just go ahead and pre-order the phones . Which the htc deal and the port in credit...i just got them for a sweet deal.

The agents I spoke with after calling cancellations, being transferred, then transferred back to cancellations wasn't helpful at all. He offered to waive any fees but said the only promo on the phone was for new customers only. I'm planning on trying again and will most likely ask for a supervisor. It seems that they really could care less about those of us out of contract but still giving them money month after month,,,

I can confirm adding a line and purchasing a One drops the price down to 100, $100 and change with activation fees
Let me start by saying that I fully realize the options are slim at this point. When you want a T-Mobile HTC One, but don't want to be a T-Mobile contract customer. I use a T-Mobile MVNO, so I want to get an HTC One to Sim unlock and use with my MVNO. No T-Mobile stores in my area have it, I can't buy online since I don't want a T-Mobile post-pay plan, and I'm not paying extra for it off EBay.
I figure in time, obviously, more options will become available for people like me. And I started this thread, to facilitate information for we who want a T-Mobile HTC One without being financially locked to T-Mobile for years  .
So as options come available, or if you know if any options now where it can be purchased at regular retail price or less. Feel free to post here.
And I don't want a Dev Edition, since I'm not in a T-Mobile refarmed area.

You can if you sweet talk the rep I have a note on my account to get one.
1) Order one from T-Mobile with a new number via phone (tell them you want to pay in full, no financing).
2) DO NOT use/activate the SIM card they send you at all.
3) Call to cancel service (give them your SSN since you don't know your phone number).
4) When they send you a bill for $10.68 partial months usage, call them, ask for the Buyers Remorse department, then ask them to credit your account and close it.
That's what I did.... didn't cost me a dime other than the $580 or whatever for the phone.

Already clarified, I don't want any plan, never mind the talk of years. The lowest plan they will allow with the HTC One is a $50 plan.
I had this chat with a T-Mobile rep, to see if I could avoid ever activating to avoid any plan fee.
Thank you for choosing T-Mobile. A representative will be with you shortly.
Welcome to T-Mobile online sales support, how may I help you with your purchase today?
You: Yes
You: I have a question
Betty: Sure.
You: If I buy an HTC One now and pay in full, but don't want to activate it for a while. Will T-Mobile hold off on ever billing me till I activate service with the included Sim card?
Betty: Yes, you can call customer care and delay its activation.
You: OK, so I'll need to call and ask them to delay activation. Will I have to give them a fixed date to activate?
Betty: Yes, you can delay the activation maximum 15 days.
You: OK, thank you.
Betty: You're welcome.

So I'd have to pay an extra $50. I'm just not in the mood to pay more than regular retail. But I guess that's an option for anyone who wants to pay a little extra while not paying as much as the folks selling on Ebay are asking... So that is one option I did not consider earlier. But I'm not taking it .

I used to be there way more when I was a customer, but since leaving, I kind of enjoy folks assuming I'm a customer  . And I've been accused there of being a T-Mobile shill so many times, I get a kick out of the false accusations . It's entertainment for me. So I don't spoil it by announcing there that I left T-Mobile last year.
I've got zero hard feelings towards T-Mobile. And some people who do dislike T-Mobile just hate that I don't hate T-Mobile with them.
(I can't mention who I'm with here. So any other talk about it would need to be via PM.)
I bought mine at Walmart. No fuss, bought it like anything else in the store.
So I got my HTC One today. And I immediately called T-Mobile Customer Care to cancel service. Apparently they setup my new "account" to open today, same day I received the device. And it was so new, they had trouble finding it at first. But they found it, I canceled it. I had to go through 2 layers to cancel. They told me since I closed the account the same day it was opened, that there will be no charges at all .
So if you buy from T-Mobile, be sure you cancel the service plan the same day you get the device in your hands. And of course if they talk about returning the device you just paid full price for, you can tell them that's not happening .

Almost very useful, except should clarify by stating that you got your phone via t-mobile.com and not in store. Apparently, if you want to cancel the rate plan service, you have to go back to the sales channel through which you first obtained service. That is, cancellation of a store-bought rate plan needs to be done at the store.
I went through quite a bit of frustration trying to buy this phone in the store; apparently buying a phone w/o a rate plan is not allowed. You really have two options: 1) Get a pre-paid rate plan for a month (since this initial pre-paid plan is non-refundable), then cancel after the month is up in order to switch to the $30 walmart/100min/5GB plan, or 2) get the phone (paid in full) with a post-paid $50 base plan, then cancel after the initial 14 days 'buyer's remorse' period.
Of course, since I just bought the phone today, I do plan to cancel the rate plan in store tomorrow. I don't see how this will work, considering the store sales reps gave me an incredibly hard time for "buying a phone only to cancel the rate plan later". I might end up returning the phone as well just to save on the frustration (at the cost of $50 restocking fee), and buy it online instead...

Just take it back to a different store. ...or wait... I'm not sure I believe that story at all... it should not matter where you got service, you should be able to cancel service over the phone. Just ask for the right department and they will close your account over the phone. They cannot prevent you from being able to cancel over the phone because you bought it in the store. Just insist you want to terminate your account immediately... they legally have to do that for you.
EDIT: I know what happened... the rep thought you needed to return your phone. The do insist that you return devices to where you got them, but just call back, I guarantee they will terminate your service over the phone if you are pushy about it.

At the time of earlier discussion, in store purchase was not an option . As rpmccormick mentioned, you can cancel a plan via phone. Continue to press your case, because there's obvious confusion regarding your situation. I did much like you via what you've noted as option #2 above. Where you buy does not matter. That I purchased apart from a store is not a factor here. And I canceled the rate plan the day I got the device, which was a few days later. Continue to press your case to cancel the plan and you don't need to wait 14 days. You'd want to cancel that plan right away. If you paid full price for the device, its yours and you don't need to keep the plan if you don't want it.

OK status update - Based on what rpmccormick and Darnell_Chat_TN have said, I tried again over the phone to cancel and this time - SUCCESS!
I realized a few things in the process:
1) Need to say the right things
a) Phone is PAID IN FULL so no need to return
b) Cannot physically make it to the store or call them since out of the country
I think it didn't work before because the loyalty dept reps kept on thinking that I'd need to return the phone as well, and that keeping it was not an option despite the full payment. Once you clarify / press on that it is only the rate plan that you'd want to cancel, they eventually will process it, just like how the other guys have said.

Yea, I had to explain to them in a similar manner. They were also trying to confuse me with someone who needed to return the device when I talked with them. It takes a little time for them to "get it" and understand you're not someone they have on the hook for a subsidized device or paying for the device over time. But after enough explaining they get it.
If I had purchased in a store, I probably would have gone home and called 2 hours later asking to cancel the plan . Best to close it same day.
Given your experience though, it seems ordering via phone or online is best. So they have no option of trying to send you back to the store. But even still, you should be able to walk right back into the store and ask to cancel the plan. And tell them you're keeping the device, because you paid for it .
They're the "Uncarrier" they can't make anybody keep a rate plan .
When I ordered online, I was using my Asus Infinity with Firefox and something in their online ordering didn't seem to like that. My order did not fully process and I got a screen to call customer service. I called and it took them hours to fully process my order properly. So maybe it's an issue with their systems in general. But because of the hassles in ordering, they gave me free overnight shipping. Since I ordered on a Saturday night, I didn't get it till the following Tuesday, since they ship weekend orders on the following Monday. Soon as I got it Tuesday, I called and had my plan canceled as I mentioned earlier. Which took them a while to find, since they had just started the plan that same day.
I am receiving my device today, can you guys please tell me which number to call and cancel the monthly plan? I am moving to the 30 bucks plan with T-Mobile :good:
I just picked up this phone cause it was finally able to work on Verizon but I can't get any mobile data. I can get on the internet just not make or receive calls and texts. Total Wireless uses Verizon's network so I can't figure out why I am having trouble. I bought a new sim, tried 4 different apn combinations, talked with TW customer service for over 45 minutes and can't find a reason why I can't get calls. Anyone else out there with this phone in a similar situation and if you got it fixed how'd you go about it? Thank you all for your time and hope someone can chime in on the problem.
You need your sim configured with "CDMA-Less" profile. The TW reps are not the brightest, but if you do a search for CDMA-less profile you'll see even verizon reps don't know about this.. I hope you get this sorted. I have TW and vzw with gudp account. let me know if you get this fixed. I want the 128GB model.

Thank you for the reply. Ispoke with TW tech service yetserday morning and told them that is what the Razer customer support said about the cdma less side of the service. They told me to leave the Sim in the phone for 24 hours to configure but it is way past the 24 hour mark and still can't make or receive calls and texts. I have a number the TW tech gave me that's a direct line to him so I'm going to have to call. 800.00 for a phone I can only use for internet is way too high

Might as well give up on it. Bee on the phone with TW tech manager and with Verizon level 3 tech support.Verizon can't change mine because my account is with TW. TWcan't change it cause the change has to be made on Verizon's side. So basically any mvno of Verizon will not work. Was told Verizon prepay will but I get 6gb of data for 35 a month.Dont see me paying more for less data just to keep a phone

Have you thought about contacting razor? And going about getting a FULL refund. Every other phone with verizon support works on total wireless. I'm mad and i don't even have the phone...
They didn't get the phone verizon certified till a few days ago:

Also you might want to post over at https://www.reddit.com/r/razerphone/
To let razor and other people know it won't work with total wireless... I still want the 128GB model... What is worse is my local best buy has the 64GB model for $645.

I can get a refund and probably will. I have contacted Razer support and they said the first batch of phones that shipped on the 10th wouldn't even work for Verizon. A bunch of hoops had to be jumped through just to get a text message and even then it was spotty. If a person is on a Verizon mvno and wants to get the phone my advice would be to wait till the newness wears off a little and see if the bugs get ironed out. 645 is cheaper than what I paid. The BB where I live is 779$ over 850.$ after tax for the 64gb model

Thanks for making this thread though. Get that refund and get the phone again down the road. The Oneplus 6 will get CDMA-less verizon support and I hope that works on total wireless. I've had zero problems with it and all my verizon phones work in it. If the LG V40 was notch-less like this phone I'd get that. The pixel phones are a no go because the lack of sdcard support, I like to carry my music with me.
BUGS
That's part of the reason I'm waiting on the 128GB model, it only exists on razor's website and clearly there's a showstopping bug.... None of reviewers even talk about it either.
One this review they make a stupid comment about wanting less ram and 128GB the date on it is 10/10/18
https://www.anandtech.com/show/1342...ds-on-now-with-wireless-charging-ip67-and-rgb
I perhaps think that going for a 6GB DRAM / 128 GB storage might be more welcome than the 8GB/64GB configuration however - I wonder exactly what users would need to do in order to hit 8GB of DRAM on a phone.
I've noticed a number of journalists already comment on the price. The last generation was $699, so this one being $799, with the feature changes is perhaps to be expected in a world where $999+ for a flagship device seems to be increasingly the norm.

Anyways let me know your end result with all this I appreciate it.
Ok update time. By sticking an old T-Mobile SIM in the phone and going in apn menu,if u put Tw apn in then pull out old SIM and put in Tw sim and make sure it's on global with advance lte calling checked I can make and receive calls, and send texts and pics but can't receive texts or pics. Don't know why that is but still working on it.
In 7.0 and above Google has locked apn settings on cdma phones so u have to use a gsm sim to access the app list.It doesn't have to be an active sim, just one that's gsm. Hope this helps anyone that wants this phone or has it and has the same issue as me.

The texts are being sent to your phone via cdma which the phone does not have the radio for hence the need for cdma-less profile on sim card. How's data for you?
Data is fine. It was before.just before there was no cellular network connection.

Nobody wants this phone to work on total wireless more than me.. Thank you for the continued updates..
I do have a few questions:
When did you get the phone? The exact date.. Did you have to update the phone or check for updates?
If you read this thread this guy talks about the issue even after Verizon certification on the 25th

Just an FYI to anyone still waiting on their device:
I received my phone today and had no trouble using my existing SIM card. Had no issues getting the LTE network, sending/receiving calls, and sending texts. I did still have the issue of not receiving texts. I jumped on a Verizon support chat, mentioned the CDMA-less fix, and it was applied to my profile. Once that happened, texts started flowing in.
Just wanted to let folks know that this had to be done even after the Verizon certification on the 25th.

I got the phone on Monday and as soon as I turned it on it updated. No asking if I wanted to just went straight to it. It is fine if you are on Version you can ask for the cdma-less profile but The TW tech manager said she didn't know what that meant and the Verizon tech o spoke to said since I was on a mvno of Verizon that he couldn't do anything for me.I asked if he would explain to the TW person but apparently that was too much to ask for.

Could the verizon rep still see your account even though is it with total wireless? The TW reps are useless in most cases. and I wouldn't trust them to screw in a light blub. The oneplus 6T will be like the razor phone 2 and require a CDMA-less profile, so TW will have to do something about this down the road. You could port your number to tracfone and probably have everything working., the company that owns tracfone own TW. I've been reading about people porting their number to google voice and forwarding call to whatever provider they are using.
Just a question: Did you add the IMEI number from the razor phone to your totalwireless account either via the web page or phone rep? There has to be a way for total wireless to setup a CDMA-less profile on your phone.
I asked if they could but the tech manager acted like she didn't know what I was talking about. Like if I had asked her if elephants fly. I know it can be done, it's just a matter of finding someone at TW that can and will do it
Well I been on another go around with TW tech support about getting a cdma-less profile and once again get told they have no idea what it is and when I said to consult with Verizon support to find out how to enable it on my account I was told that they could not do that. So I will be switching to H20 or Cricket and taking the phone back and order a OP6T. maybe after a month or 2 I'll go pick one up again.

I got this from the OPO forums, and didn't note the credit to who posted but here's this:
The CDMA-less feature is an available feature, meaning, unless the tech support person sees it as available for the system, he cannot add it. This is why some people get this feature added quickly by tech support and some people cannot. If tech support cannot add the CDMA-less feature, you need to tell them to look up on the network and billing system what the phone is showing up as. In 99% of cases once the IMEI is received, the network updates properly and the phone is registered as a OnePlus 6T but in the billing system it shows up unspecified/unrecognized. In this situation the tech cannot add the CDMA-less feature because he/she cannot see it as available. To verify this, if you login to your Verizon account your phone will not show as a ONEPLUS 6T. This means that there is a discrepancy and when the clueless tech is trying add this CDMA-less feature he/she doesn't see it.
The solution is to ask the Tech person to SYNC the network and billing so that the billing side can also see the phone as a OnePlus 6T. When this is done, and his side is refreshed, the CDMA-LESS feature becomes available. Once it is available, he/she can activate it.

You're Welcome by the way.
